Want to improve flexibility of your hamstrings? The routine @movementbydavid shows can be helpful - however, for someone with tight hamstrings AND low back pain, we need to be careful what types of stretches are used so we don’t push into your triggers for pain!
    .
For a lot of people also, as you treat the root cause of pain correctly & wind down the symptoms of pain - your natural hamstring flexibility returns without having to stretch.
    .
Shout out @movementbydavid for the opening stitched video & @muscleandmotion for the amazing anatomy graphics.

Cat/camel does nothing for me. I had a bulging disc and insanely tight hamstrings and the only thing that helped was back extensions for strength and the elephant walk was an absolute life changer.

I would second the cat camel, it did help me a lot. What helped me the most though were nerve gliding exercises/nerve mobility exercises.

Kettle Bell swings. Start with like 5p and then slowly start increase. That will fix your back.

Anatomy plays a big part femur length vs. tibia length or long arrms/ torso, etc.

Every morning i put my legs up against the wall as close as possible. Really feel the ham stretching. Do it while I do my wrist stretches

I used to be able to touch my hands flat to the floor. Then I tore my hamstring really band sprinting and it never got better even with physio. Ended my football career at 24. Even now after 26 years still cannot touch my toes on the bad leg and if I over stretch it starts to throb for ages. I have given up stretching.

What's the solution for tight everything ?

    • @yg-fitness
      @yg-fitness День назад

      Hi Gengar,
There are muscles that can be stretched to relieve heavy tightness.
These include the lats, rhomboids, pec minor and spinal erectors.
Then, instabilities at the hip can trigger tightness in the front of the lower body.
This often comes from weak or unstable glute meds or max.

His anatomy is not different, his antimony is the human anatomy. Stay flexy and myself both studied and understand how the body works; anyone can gain flexibility at extreme ranges by strengthening your muscles and tendons a using weights at full range of motion.

@@GLEN515 you can still build strength in your muscles, tendones and around your joints to attain his level of flexibility no matter the height

@@renigate I believe I got their at one point in my life but it was a lot of practice of doing Tai chi but I was never able to kiss my toes like the Asian guy . You have to admit it is advantageous from being short and tall . Me I'm stuck in the middle at an average 5'9 .
