      My pleasure friend! The V is the front of the head/cap. The wider part would be the nape. the cap contours the canvas better when it’s placed as such because technically this is the correct way.

      Thank you! I use Qfitt extra large mesh dome caps when working on a 23 inch canvas head. With these, I do have to remove excess material most times. However, when I’m using caps from my regular wig cap vendor I do not have to remove any extra material. Qfitt is just what I had on hand at the time of making this video but they are still the best brand to use that you can get from the beauty supply or Amazon.

    • @Itsbigcyn
      @Itsbigcyn  Год назад

      🤣Not stupid, but there is a piece of the bed of the sewing machine that you can slide on and off. You’ll slide that part off and then the part that’s remaining will go inside of the wig cap. So, one part of the wig cap will be on top of the flat bed and the other side of the wig cap will be underneath. I hope that makes sense 😬

      In the beginning for me, yes!
      There is less space at the top of the wig so you may be stretching the cap as you sew without realizing it. This can cause bulking. Be conscious of stretching the cap and try sewing at a lower speed.

      Try changing your needle, it might be dull. Also make sure it’s secure in the needle holder - it should be very snug but not too tight.
      For drawing the guidelines, you may just need more practice. The key is to draw your lines straight across. Using a soft tape measurer can also help you draw accurately. I can make a video focusing on how to make your lines ♥️

    • @Itsbigcyn
      @Itsbigcyn  Год назад +1

      @@tiffanygrose5943 I’d highly recommend doubling your wefts first before sewing them on the cap. This way is much easier if you’re a beginner. You also want to make sure you’re not stretching the cap with your hands as you push it thru the machine - this’ll cause your wig to be bulky. You want to let the machine do most of the pulling. The job of your hands is just to guide the direction of the cap.
      Also, ensure that your guidelines aren’t too close together when double wefts, since you need more space for the larger track. This will cause a bulky wig as well!
