Very Kool video liked especially being in CO to Kool awesome trail still quite a bit of snow looked like you had no problems loved video two thumbs up ty doug from gunnison CO
We definitely had more snow early April last year 2020, compared to this year 2021. Gonna be a dry year. I have rode those trails for 15 years on mtb, 1990 - 2005. Now I am 50 yrs old, and it is time to ride again, on an enduro. I hope the mtb and hiker folks aren't too upset. I remember hikers used to set traps for the mtb and enduros on the single track near Frosty's Park. Good folks.
hahah! at 1:45 seconds....she is holding her nose/mouth with her hands. Either she had it or she thought we had it!....but then again, maybe it was This Mountain Life stinky 2 stroke :)
I did a good piece of editing when you went over that large rock! You did better than me...I did not even attempt it. Therefore the edit says you made it!
The normal loop we do is: Captain Jacks trail #667 going up and transition into Foresters trail (#701) and either take Pipeline Trail or continue on Nelsons trail (#701) and go to the more difficult uphill Mt Rosa trail. You can then go down the other side of Mt Rosa and take the dirt road back (the one in this video which is Gold Camp Road). Makes for an awesome day and a nice loop. Use Cotrex app to check this route. Not really doable till spring or early summer unless you like snow (which is usually on the Capt Jacks trail).
@@CoolEyeColorado I took a screen shot of your directions, otherwise I'll forget it. Definately need to ride this one in the summer. I'm in Northern CO and most the trails here don't open until June 15th. Not a lot of winter riding spots around here that I'm aware if anyway. Thanks for the details and I'm going to look at the map now.

I'm surprised they haven't closed down that area where everyone was parking. Around here all the mountains are closed.

I’m surprised there was that much snow still!
Tommy Lovejoy did like 42 miles that day...even through the snow. Granted most of it was road...but we took what we could get
nice ledge edit! FYI, you’re allowed to show me failing at anytime. 😂

What an awesome trail! I'd love to check that one out this summer! Is this a loop trail?
