Hope he stays with the Heat, has the right mindset it seems...they believed in him first, pay it back as the team will get better and in the mix the next few years.
Pay it back ??? It’s a business was you saying that when they was trying to trade him for Kyle Lowry . I get it the heat trying to do what’s best for business but don’t put it on Duncan to pay it back cos the heat was no completely loyal to him
I think other than CP3, and Stockton who JJ mentioned, you could also put Steve Nash into the conversation about smaller guards being dominant into their later years. He was 36 in 2010 leading the suns to the 3rd spot in the west. But even then, I think what CP3 has been doing might be even more impressive. This is his first year leading and young squad, takes them to the finals. Nash and Stockton had been with their respective teams for years and garnered their trust. CP3 has been bouncing around from team to team but making a very noticeable impact wherever he goes.
@@chriswrld9991 true. He was in his 30s before he won his mvps. I guess Nash wasn't making as much of an instant impact when he came into the league compared to CP
Itd be dope if you can get landry on, maybe since he was not recruited highly out of hs and played at a mid-major college. Maybe for the long shot podcast
Restricted means another team can offer him X amount of dollars and the Heat can match it to see what he's worth (instead of blindly offering him a contract that maybe under or overvalued). There's a deadline that once a team gives him that offer it's up to the incumbent team if they want to match it or not.
Also, restricted means that a player has a free agency just like regular, and if he signs an offer sheet from a different team, his original team has the option to match ths offer, and if they do he has to stay. So basically other teams have to overpay a restricted free agent just to make sure his old team doesn’t match it
With the amount of injuries do you think the specific training for avoiding basketball comes for these athletes to late. Just training to jump higher or run faster seems to often to be the focus. I saw how Michael Jordans physical coach worked 24/7 for him to be at his best. Somehow trough other players he heard something and i am sure his intuition wanted him to try him out for a month. They focused on staying healthy before jumping higher and faster was a focus. The effort he put into MJ and understanding things is incredible. Cause basketball is freaking tough on the body and this year there has been many injuries. You need to Get him into the studio😁
@@jaymorgan231 Hopefully. He really complements our team. He deserves a decent payday but we need him in Miami unless we somehow gat Dame. I'd rather re sign him than Oladipo
@@panosts6178 Ya we better not pay oladipo instead of resigning dbo and k nunn. Oladipo is a walking injury and on the rare occasion he actually is on the court he isn’t even that good. He’s played 88 games the last 4 seasons
Hi JJ Redick. I was just wondering if you're still going to play basketball cos i saw a list of all time leaders regular season 3-pointers made which you are ranked 15th with a total of 1,950. The rank 14th is Joe Johnson with 1,978, rank 13 is LeBron James with 1979, 12th is Dirk Nowitzki with 1,982 and 11th is Jason Kidd with 1,988. And I was thinking that if you're going to play still, then why not aim to surpass their numbers. And assuming that you'll be 100% healthy again soon, then it's doable.
At the moment, Duncan (guy in the bottom) plays for the heat, JJ ( guy in top right) plays for the Mavericks and the other guy is a co-host for the podcast doesn't play in the NBA.
i dont think chris paul is an anomaly. steve nash had a better stat line in his age 35 season than chris paul had in this years regular season but ya obviously didnt make the playoffs. Steve also didnt have a devin booker like player.

He should get close to 15-20m/yr imo. Joe Harris is getting 4yr 72m and I think he's probably worth more
definitely better in the playoffs

Yea he probably didn’t mention him because Steve Nash took awhile to be actually dominant.

What is the difference between restricted and unrestricted in term of free agency?? It’s a genuine question because I really don’t know. 🤷🏾♀️
