the standard is more offroad capable, the adventure sport is more touring orientated... I still surprised that dealerships cant even read the honda flyers properly...

@@gellingdiy2021 WOW a ZH2 that’s a beast. How much hp does that bike have? Also since you like Kawasaki, why did you choose the Africa Twin over the Versys?

@@Texas2Tires ZH2 makes 198 hp. I choose the africa twin since i can't get used to 4 cillinders. Living in the netherlands a 2 cillinder is much more useful with the low rpm torque. The zh2 really does a good job in showing torque down low, but after riding it for several years I found out i liked it because of the low rpm torque and a 2 cillinder suits me the best

@@gellingdiy2021 that’s definitely a lot of horsepower. How about the DCT do you like that?

Excellent video and a surprise! I did not know that about a DCT bike and how it actually works it would take some getting use to. I would need to test ride it to see what it feels like. I actually like the clutch part of riding but I can see the advantages of it. He stated that the DCT works quicker than a slipper clutch. What are your thoughts about the parallel twin being slimmer and not having the protruding cylinders sticking out. Particularly, when you think of the RS. Does it make you re-think the RS? Do you plan to test ride it? Is this a bike you would consider? Thanks

Thanks for watching the video and the comment and questions. I would not buy this bike because I’m not into adventure riding or going off-road. If I did buy it I would get a manual transmission not DCT. I’ve talked with people that have DCT bikes and they are very cool on straightaways and highways And long distance riding. Slow riding in a parking lot or if you were to go off road they complain that the transmission shift gears at odd times when you don’t expect it. So for that reason I would want a manual transmission to keep full control over when gears are shifted. He’s right, a DCT will shift much faster than any other type of transmission.

@Texas2Tires What about the appearance issue? It is slimmer and does not have the protruding cylinder heads? You prefer sport touring over adventure bikes?

@@p-dub7422 yes I like my boxer engine especially in the hot summer here in Texas. When I get to a red light I don’t get the heat rising up from the engine like other bikes the cylinder heads are pretty cool because they’re in the wind the entire time you’re riding the bike so they don’t get too hot. My friends ride Harleys or in line for sport bikes always complain about the heat from the engine but like I said the box engine stays fairly cool

Of course because in the adventure class you have to acknowledge the champion BMW. However this Honda dealer also sells BMW 😎

@@zigpozema9955 I definitely prefer BMW, but Honda has some solid bikes. I’ve met many riders that love their Goldwings and have ridden thousands of miles without issues. In the end, everyone has their own tastes. For me, if it has two tires I like it. 😂

@@zigpozema9955 brother... the point of adventure bikes is to be RELIABLE and go anywhere, and in case of hondas they can not only go nearly anywhere, they also do 500,000+ kilometers without any serious issues. theres a guy in my very own moto club, with a 330,000+km on the clock! Name one person with a GS or GSA who did more than 100,000, maybe 150,000 at most... Also, BMW constantly has shit wearing down or failing prematurely so you constantly need to pour money into it in order for it to work as its supposed iyo its built and designed like that, same as their cars... BMW is a premium brand, not a quality based brand... and they are NOT the bike you want to ride when doing anything more than a single day trip somewhere and even in case of single day trips, i would be hesitant doing anything more than 400-600 kilometers at once aka. 7-8 hours of riding at once. best adventure bikes, 100% yes, without a doubt but no thanks, the reliability puts me off, ill still pick a honda, suzuki or a yamaha over it anyday anytime
