Lemme know your thoughts on the details. My in-depth review of this movie comes out next.
Hey...remember the part where Cassie gets confused whether Scott was in Team IronMan or Team Cap...and thought he went to fight against Cap and then he corrects her by saying that to fight with him...I think that's an easter egg suggesting that initially Ant-Man was supposed to be Team IronMan
When watching that probability storm scene, I thought the only reason all the Scotts were helping each other is because no matter what choice he takes or how he ends up, Cassie would always be their priority, so as long as even one of them completes the task, it'll be worth it, and so they helped each other.
Same, I think it's the universal goal that helped them do it. Kang's universal goal would be to kill his other variants, and maybe, just maybe, Kang could unite his variants to their hatred of the council. But it's too small a chance, and Kang isn't risking it.
Hank has always had a fascination with Ants since the first movie, so seeing him pull a Gandalf and lead an army of giant futuristic Ants and save the day was epic.
You're right but I felt Kang was severely nerfed in this movie from that point onwards. This guy, the conqueror, who has killed Avengers in MULTIPLE timelines is first overrun by Ants and then loses a battle with just the Antman & Wasp? I wish they switched that ants pileup to the very end. Otherwise there is no way Kang is defeated so easily, IMO
I thought it was really cool how from the moment Scoot and Hope met in the Storm of Probability all the variants came together in one, following the logic of Schrodinger's Cat which says that when there is an observer a single state of existence is established .
Yes and I loved how the movie ended with Kang in Schroadingers Cat meaning he's unobserved so the timelines can't account for him. I also love when they hear Cassie voice they all help the one Scott that has the head set with her voice.
That 10th and last detail is my favorite of this whole film. Truly goes to show how smart and calculated Kang was with all his moves. Amazing video Canadian Lad as always!
I went into it like I did with all ant man movies: “fun and silly”. I got that AND kang setup? Solid movie for me. Obviously it’s not top 10 mcu movie but I enjoyed it
The amount of detail in this movie was incredible. I thoroughly enjoyed Quantumania, and I have zero complaints. Only excitement for the future of the MCU.
I think the scene where all of Scott and Hope's variants disappear is a really cool nod to how interaction works in quantum mechanics. The position of a particle in QM is always uncertain and probabilistic. But in the moment it interacts with another particle, it instantly becomes defined. The same kind of thing also happens in Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse, because at the beginning of the movie, Miles lives in an uncertain state: he can either become a villain like his uncle, or a hero like his father. But by the end of the movie, after interacting with the other Spider-people, he is a hero.
I don’t think this movie is as bad as everyone is saying it is. Just like the other Ant-Man movies it’s fun, humorous, and never takes itself too seriously. I do get it should have been a better jumping off point.
But nobody is even saying it’s bad… literally 9/10 comments are people saying they like the movie.. wtf are you talking about open your eyes look around stop reading ign headlines and saying “oh that’s what everyone thinks” your ruining society
The last detail you mentioned is amazing. Also the fact that kang knew the probability storm means that someone among his army attempted this heist before
That last Kang theory is really good. Honestly I always thought it was just Kang not wanting to risk himself getting killed, but the variant probability makes so much more sense
The last detail by The Canadian Lad makes a whole lot of sense on why Kang didn't go to the quantum nexus to destroy the multiversal core himself, either way I haven't even watched the movie so I don't know if its bad or not but good job on your details.
Something I noticed is that Kangs fighting style is very brutal and emotional (stomping with all his might, screaming/crying) Gives the feeling that there's a story behind it
I usually dont watch Marvel movies (haven't watched any since Endgame) and I suddenly went to watch this with one of my friends. I was so confused by the hate it got, as I didn't see anything that annoying. Also I feel like it is comparatively way better than many movies that come nowadays.
I find it interesting that across all the variants of Kang, there are really only two mindsets - work together to conquer all of space and time OR trying to kill the rest of the variants. The one in Loki had the most success, using the TSA to prune all the realities. And the one in the movie wanting to take a more direct approach. I wonder if they will find any more of those versions, cause I think they will end up needing one to defeat the council of Kangs in the end.
But the one in Loki and the one in ant-man did exactly the same thing, with the difference being that the one in Loki found Alioth and only after he took care of all other timelines, he founded the TVA to keep other timelines from being created. The Kang from Loki is just older, wiser, tired, he conquered everything that he could so he saw no point in continuing doing the job. The Ant-Man Kang is just Younger and driven.
i had an overwhelming suspicion that they're both the same, that the kang survived the explosion in some form and found alioth here, and then went onto pruning the timelines and ended up being killed by loki (sylvie). it could still be true considering what the device was capable of. it more likely transformed Kang and gave birth to alioth.
The amount of attention he had to pay while watching this in the theatre is just incredible, props to Canadian Lad for putting in so much effort into this!
@@dylanbruhhh4208 even if he did pirate the footage, being able to spot all these details is hard by itself. Let’s all just be happy Canadian Lad puts so much effort into his videos.
@@Shreckster22 yeah.. but literally your whole comment was about how he did this in theatre… your response is weird seems like you can’t handle being proven wrong??
The filmmakers considered this, but turned it down because it would literally be the same thing as Ant man and the wasp's ending and how Janet was also stuck in the realm .
@@coolcyan9772 Nobody was stuck in the quantum realm after antman and the wasp? What are you taking about. That movie was literally about how they got her mom out.
@@michaelthatoker7125 did you not see the mid credits scene of ant man and the wasp? scott got left in the quantum realm at the end. bro, half the plot of endgame revolves around scott getting out and discovering time travel
4:09 but he can choose to leave the avengers forever and just work at Baskin Robbins again. I can see this scenerio happening if like in future he is deeply depressed and thinks he is not worhty of being avenger he can beg Baskin Robbins to rehire him
I admit that I didn't think about Kang not going because of the probability storm, it's a perfect reason that should have been said or shown more explicitly in the movie - but this actually would gave up the "spoiler" that those who exile him were variants of himself.
I watched The Canadian Lad at .25x speed and here's what i found Number 1: His content is good Number 2: His dedication is otherworldly Number 3: His passion is among the best of the best And that's it
I was puzzled why Kang didn't just take AntMan's suit and Pym particles and got the core himself. The explanation makes sense. Canadian Chad never fails.
More than hope holding scott's hand, the scene where all the other scott's start helping him as soon as they hear his daughters voice gave me chills. Because it also explains why kang couldn't do it because all his variants/probabilities would have ended up killing each other.
6:00 what I liked most about that scene is that Scott and all his variants actually took on the characteristics of ants in order to elevate the main Scott.
To counter the "BR version of Scott can't be there" line it is easy to imagine a variant timeline where they let Scott come back to work BR after the Blip. He'd do it to be an example of working a "regular job". He would have visited everyone after work without changing when everyone got pulled down to the quantum realm. Suddenly being surrounded by so many variations of himself, he would make himself conspicuous by changing out of the suit until it was necessary.
MODOK says that Cassie was only able to find the quantum realm with her device because he led her to Kang otherwise it wasn't possible and the multiversal disk was destroyed by Scott in the end of the movie to kill Kang. So how was Cassie able to open a portal without the disk that too just in a few minutes ? It took Hank pym 30 yeasts to reach Janet and then too he couldn't open a portal to get her he just made a machine to look for her in the quantum realm. How did Cassie manage to do it without the multiversal disk ?
There is one more point ! Even ant man has a bad possibility storm, but once they heard her daughter's voice, all variants started helping the real Scott. Which means they all serve one purpose but kang varients might not !. This is the reason that the kang sent Scott to do the work ! Thumbs if I make any sense !
you literally just blew my mind when you mentioned why Kang needed Antman to go throught the Probability storm, cause he was afraid of his variants! I never even thought of that, good find!
I loved how when Scott hears Cassie while in the probability storm and then all his variants work together it confused MODOK and he was all "how are you doing that???"
Kang feared the probability storm as it might create another Kang variant that could be stronger than this Kang. While Antman and Wasp merged with the other probability because they had their mind set on that goal. Remember there is a scene where all Antman have the same thought "do it for Cassie" thats where he was able to control the other Antman variants.
Who's to say Baskin Robbin's Scott Lang isn't just an Ant-Man that uses the job to maintain his secret identity like the formerly mentioned Spider-Man and his Daily Bugle job
I was actually confused why Kang need scott to shrink that core he can do it himself he just needed pym particles but now that you have clarified that part I guess this movie makes more sense now..
7:14 Maybe Scott and co entered the universe where events happened as same as 616 but there might be a little variation which will be a plot twist for future Avengers movies
Bro after seeing this movie do you possibly thing marvel actually put efforts into such things? That they wrote a nolan level plot twists and story? No! It literally just wrote this movie in one night and nothing changed at the end Thats how it is Thats how its always has been
I really would like to thank you because you answered the query I had since I watched the movie which is why Kang didn’t do this mission himself and instead searched for Scott Lang
I think the Baskin Robbins variant being there signifies that how little probability is it that Scott would have a variant that has those clothes on and is still in that space. There's only one of those variants that have that clothes, so the probability of him being there is 1 in a million or something.
@@calltyshon This is my uniform, these are normal people clothes, why are you dressed like that. I dunno why he's there but I love it and feel like it was too good an opp not to throw him there.
Overall Ant-man and the wasp with the hornet movie caused infinity war because it had the initial sneak, and now this movie has such an intricate design, connecting to doctor strange and multiverse because of the post-credits scene mentioning "incursion", as well as Loki and some others I forgot about, this is SIGNALING TO A NEW WORLD THE MULTIVERSE AND THE POST CREDIT SCENES ARE ALL POINTING TOWARDS MULTIVERSAL CONFLICTS!
the reason why they left your last point to the audience is because they know that Canadian lad will pick it up and share it to us. Thus making the channel more credible and can create more hype on the next MCU project.
When the Scotts think about Cassie to work together it's à call back to ant-man 1 when Scott thinks of Cassie to control Ants. Another detail that i appreciated is the mention of Sub-atomica that confirms the quantum realm is the Microverse in the comics and some places are references ( like the " desert " one )
In the probability storm, when the varients are helping scott up, it looks like the "architect" ant formation from the first movie (when inside the water pipe)
5:52 I saw this detail but I thought that their choice was going to be to save Cassie, and sisnce both of them wanted that and only that choice, all the other variants cam together
That last detail you mentioned about the Kang variants. I was thinking about it right at the moment when Marvel dropped it's trailer for the first time happy to see altealst there is one youtuber who is acknowledging my thinking 👍.
7:58 this is literally the greatest part of the movie that hits me, I was literally like "oooh yeahhhh", because like, what are the odds of ant-man being the ant man, which is related to ants, and ants are "related" to teamwork, so the possibility of them helping out each other and together is certainly.
I would like to point out another detail in the Probability Storm! Might be me reaching but hey nobody's hurt if it's wrong. So MODOK was shocked that Scott, or all of Scott's variants to be exact, was able to work together instead of against one another. And I'd like to think that this is because even though he has multiple possibilities of choices, all of his choices has something similar, an end goal: get back to Cassie safely and that's why they proped the main Scott up Thanks for coming to my ted talk
Mr Canadian Lad... "Drink the ooze" scene in this movie may be referencing the ritual in John Carter of Mars where he drank their "juice" and was able to understand the Tharks
Oh I found 2 small details that I feel it's pretty cool #1: When Scott Lang first variant appears, the first one is the only one can hear what MODOK and Cassie say through the microphone but the others can't, but when others variANTs build a tower and push Scott to the top that mean in every posibilities Scott still think about his daughter and try to escape the core #2: When Janet and Hank talking about "need" Hank did mention about the girl name Linda, this is the reference in comic that Hank was having affair with another girl then he relize that girl is a Skrull and beat him
Really admire the attention to detail and dedication to watching movies in slo-mo to catch hidden cues. RUclips has definitely given rise to some of the weirdest gigs in human history lol.
Man this movie is just awesome as most of marvel's one, a turning back to MCU with introduction to Kang I loved it, but woundering why so many people hated it
the part where scott splits into possibilities trying to get the core back made me laugh out loud, not because of the scene itself, but how much the screenwriters don't understand shit about physics
2:01 Loki was actually in the Marvel logo for the original Doctor Strange. I don't know if you want to count that but if you do then Kang is the second villain to be in the Marvel logo.
I don't understand how people didn't find this movie good. I enjoyed it! It was amazing! ❤️ People need to know that not all of us read comics. For someone like me who has only watched Marvel movies, it was really good!
4:05-4:25 i guess this baskin robin variant is after scott accept kang offer and gave that glowing thing to him and kang gave scott his lost life which is working in baskin Robin and never becoming Avenger
The fact that he had to go and rewatch this film 5 times and falling sleep goes to show the hard work he puts into his videos to be accurate with what his saying.
The probability storm as has 2 neat facts: 1.) Scott gets broken down to strings for string theory 2.) Grace and Scott touching is like a particle being observed, when a particle is t being observed it's a wave of possibly and while it is being observed there is only 1 way it will travel

"Every single god damn word/line"
you nailed it on number 10, this is a question/error commented on every video and forum
Have you ever wonder, J jonah jameson was seen in every single live action Spiderman universe. So did he travel through universes?🤔
Man.. Kudos to your dedication. Thank you for making MCU experience exciting for us. 👍
Just discovered your channel. Super stoked to explore it ! High expectations ! 😍
7:58 this is literally the greatest part of the movie that hits me, I was literally like "oooh yeahhhh", because like, what are the odds of ant-man being the ant man, which is related to ants, and ants are "related" to teamwork, so the possibility of them helping out each other and together is certainly.
yep that variant of ant man who never got fired really confused me
I would like to point out another detail in the Probability Storm! Might be me reaching but hey nobody's hurt if it's wrong. So MODOK was shocked that Scott, or all of Scott's variants to be exact, was able to work together instead of against one another. And I'd like to think that this is because even though he has multiple possibilities of choices, all of his choices has something similar, an end goal: get back to Cassie safely and that's why they proped the main Scott up
Thanks for coming to my ted talk
They said this in the movie
@@Alanthealien1 well i mean scott said something along the lines of "you wanna know why?" Then just fell i think
Mr Canadian Lad... "Drink the ooze" scene in this movie may be referencing the ritual in John Carter of Mars where he drank their "juice" and was able to understand the Tharks
Damn you just covered a plot hole with Kang in the probability hex . Nice job
I'm proud that I've figured out the final detail before this video, but I also think that maybe a lot of people realize too
Everytime I watch an MCU project, I wait for you to point out the real beauty in the film. Thanks man! Love from India.💗
Oh I found 2 small details that I feel it's pretty cool
#1: When Scott Lang first variant appears, the first one is the only one can hear what MODOK and Cassie say through the microphone but the others can't, but when others variANTs build a tower and push Scott to the top that mean in every posibilities Scott still think about his daughter and try to escape the core
#2: When Janet and Hank talking about "need" Hank did mention about the girl name Linda, this is the reference in comic that Hank was having affair with another girl then he relize that girl is a Skrull and beat him
I love that people within the MCU, since they forgot who spiderman/Peter Parker is, they re mixing up heroes
The last detail exactly did what it was meant to be..
I was like "Woah!" 🤩
Thanks Canadian Lad for once again going up and above.
Pj and canadian lad never dissapoints
Really admire the attention to detail and dedication to watching movies in slo-mo to catch hidden cues. RUclips has definitely given rise to some of the weirdest gigs in human history lol.
No matter how the movie was, your videos are always up to mark buddy. Keep up the good work👍
I've noticed a detail while watching, when M.O.D.O.K (Darren) is about to die, the heartbeat changes to green to red.
Man this movie is just awesome as most of marvel's one, a turning back to MCU with introduction to Kang
I loved it, but woundering why so many people hated it
No more novelty this time
the part where scott splits into possibilities trying to get the core back made me laugh out loud, not because of the scene itself, but how much the screenwriters don't understand shit about physics
I got chills when Kang screamed "no matter how many Avengers I've killed" I'm totally ready for multiversal war
2:01 Loki was actually in the Marvel logo for the original Doctor Strange. I don't know if you want to count that but if you do then Kang is the second villain to be in the Marvel logo.
Hey everyone I’m watching the canadian lad at 0.25x speed and here is what I found.
How marvel hasn't hit you with copyright strikes amazes me.
2:18 YES THATS WAHT I THOUGHT THE PEOPLE MASSACRING WERE THE OTHER VARIANTS! so basically avengers kang dynasty are against all the other kangs.
Who are watching this without watching the movie 😐🤣
Yo mama
Me 😅😅
The probability storm as has 2 neat facts:
1.) Scott gets broken down to strings for string theory
2.) Grace and Scott touching is like a particle being observed, when a particle is t being observed it's a wave of possibly and while it is being observed there is only 1 way it will travel
Clearly you underestimate the power of Baskin Robbins Scott
