well it sounds nice, but it's just an end of file, not end of life. The end could have been chosen arbitrarly. The TVA isn't limited by the length of anyone's life. If that were the case, they would probably only have tapes from the POV of the people in the scene, not this floating ghost perspective. @Ahamed Jaris they reset the timeline when they take the variants away. That means the characters return in the timeline to play the role they’re meant to play.
@Ahamed Jaris No, there aren't. When the timeline branches everyone there is a variant of the main timeline people, then the TVA takes the variant who caused it and prune that branch, aka, they send that whole reality with all their variants, to the void.
A really cool detail that I noticed is when Loki is watching his own death, he's in pure shock ONLY at the moment his neck gets snapped. You can see in his eyes as he's watching, he is concerned, he is worried, but he's thinking 'This surely must be an illusion, I would not surely do this with my own body...' then the neck snaps and he realises it was not an illusion.
Yes, for me it looks like he is watching very careful, as he cannot imagine getting killed there. He looks like he expect some elaborate trick. He knows Thanos still very fresh from his time in the void. So he might wonder why would he confront him like that. He is looking at the images and waiting for the way out, but with the breaking of his neck … well, that noise alone gets ME everytime and imagine watching a version of yourself with that? 😶
I loved it. But I wonder, how many times they tried it until it looked so smooth and believable. Mobius looking away to the door JUST at the right moment …
There's a painful detail that you let unnoticed: as basic concept that file follows Loki's life, which means the moment he's born to the very instant he gives the last breath. But the file doesn't end when Thanos snapped his neck. Instead, it ended with the explosion. So was Loki at least a bit conscious and alive after having his neck snapped? It's really painful to think, and with that we can assume that he also saw Thor crying for him

It amazes me how you can catch on with the tiniest of details, the connection you made when they said "multiverse" and "madness" in one sentence, then hinting back to Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness, blew my mind.
11:19 I love how they used Infinity Stones to portray just how powerful the TVA is. We have seen the Infinity Stones, and how Thanos wiped out half the universe with them. We were lead to believe that those shits are the most powerful things in the universe. Then in this show we see how the TVA uses them as fucking paperweights. That is just completely genius, because it makes us realize that that place is much more important than we thought.
I don't know if I would say that the TVA is "more powerful" when all they're doing is just taking the stones out of the universe they can work in. It's no different than taking the MCU's infinity stones to the marvel comic's universe where they would lose their power just the same -- would that mean that the marvel comic universe is more powerful? (yeah, the fact that movie characters are shadows of their comic versions not withstanding). If the TVA truly was "more powerful", then Sylvie and Loki should have no chance against them in any situation. But they seem to do just fine, with or without the TVA's toys.
@@shadowcatcherfox5186 just because something is more powerful doesn’t mean that they can’t be outsmarted. Besides, based on episode 1, it just seems like, they have more powerful tech and can make magic and infinity stones useless but other than that, they don’t seem much better than humans in terms of strength.
The scene where Loki sees his death, the tape still has the part where Thor's hugging Loki, so does that mean he was still alive at the time? If so, does it mean the last thing Loki sees/feels is his brother holding him and mourning his death?
I believe that line is actually a quote from a Loki comic mini-series from 2004, where one version of Loki finally defeats Thor and Odin only to find that ruling Asgard is both difficult and boring and he chooses to interfere with his own past and foil one of his own plans
Don't feel sad. That Loki achieved his best version of himself too, he saved Thor who took out Thanos thus saving the universe. And this Loki variant will help other Loki to become their best selves. They'll have to go up against Ikol who believes that Loki is and always will be the god of mischief.
I think the difference between a nexus being and a nexus event is this: nexus events are the points in time and space at which a deviation begins from. A nexus being is someone who is capable of bending and twisting time and space. Nexus beings seems to make up their own rules whereas other beings are at the mercy of the laws of physics of the sacred timeline. The common word "nexus" indicates that each of these phenomena (beings or events) are the central anchor point around which things deviate
the scene where he watched his entire life was so heartbreaking,, his whole life he just wanted to be loved and accepted so when he found out those around him genuinely cared about him, like when odin said “i love you my sons” and the elevator scene with thor, you could really see the pain and regret in his eyes. Hiddleston did such an amazing job portraying loki💚🖤
Not only that, but another thing is he doesn't enjoy hurting ppl, but the timekeepers makes it so as if he was just a pawn on a board, very similar to Eobard Thawn, wanting to be good only to learn that you're destined to do evil
Because of hulk taking stairs we also lost Captain America😭😭, because of that Tony and he had to go in past in that army base where captain saw his love 😭😭
@@goldenboi9291 I'd say if hulk hitting Tony is supposed to happen, then Loki escaping is also supposed to happen thus creating a loophole. There is no way that Loki wouldn't escape if the Terreract came to his feet.
@@mzaite Thor was also holding Loki's head, spine shattered or not, it's proven that the brain doesn't shut off immediately after death, and there is pressure nerves on the head too.
10:08 I think the real existential torture for Loki here is less about being doomed to be the bad guy, and more about the guy who thinks he’s above everything and everyone realizing that his role in life is a stepping stone for others’ betterment. That, plus he’s the god of mischief, and he’s realizing that everything he ever did was part of someone else’s plan. That’s gotta make Loki feel small.
This was a very strong first episode. HIddleston shows time and time again just how strong of an actor he is and how strong and lovable his Loki is. It was really cool to see the difference between him seeing his death and Thanos and it really separates the two in how they react and think. This was such a fun episode, can't wait for episode two! Also why aren't people talking about Owen Wilson more? His performance is amazing.
i love the robot scene so much because Loki was scared he might have been a robot without knowing it just like how he was a frost giant and didn’t know it for the majority of his life
One detail missed is that Loki, at this point in time, is indebted to Thanos. And to see his death, at the side of his brother, fighting his current boss, proves to him that his path to Godking was one of ego, not of destiny.
Another detail related to all those Time Stones: There are Soul Stones in that drawer but they're the *fewest* in number. Makes sense, because they're one of the hardest to acquire (you need to sacrifice a life)
@@bluxray8155 Yeah i know i guess that is a mistake. But the Mind Stone has to be the big one it was the last stone thanos adds to the infinity gauntlet and he puts that stone into the big hole on the gauntlet.
Another thing i just realised is that some of the red reality stones are really hard to tell apart if they are really red or dark orange so i guess there are maybe some soul stones and when you see that the big mind stones seems more yellow. So maybe this whole thing is just the lighting of the scene.
@@christophs.2386 Not necessarily cos I remember a detail from infinity war, that said the mind stone was polymorphic (could change shape), hence why it was small in visions head but managed to fit into the gauntlet.
I found another detail!: When Loki and Mobius are in the elevator to go to the time theater and Mobius introduces himself, notice the elevator music. The music is the same music as when Loki was in Stuttgard, Germanny in the first Avengers film, before he took the guy's eye
@@notalanjoseph he'd be a prisoner, because the Infinity Stones in the desk drawer are useless and powerless in other timelines (that aren't the main MCU timeline).

If they use the infinity stones as paper weights, imagine Halloween at the office XD Bob: You John, nice iron man costume! Is that a mock-up of the mark 10? John: Yeah, found it in my closet, are you thanos? Bob: Yeah! Complete with the infinity stones! *does snap* John: Had me there for a second XD
And the absolute shock on his face when Odin said “I love you my sons!” And faded away. Then the deep sorrow of hearing Thor’s words to him during Ragnarok and EndGame no words were said, but you could hear everything he’s thinking by just his facial expressions alone. True acting at its finest, Tom brought out the best for that scene.
I love how this show doesn’t seem to want to unveil some elaborate villain, but to force Loki to battle the villains inside him. I’m placing my bets this show ends as a Loki redemption arc
That's what Loki's story was in most of the comic storyline since his rebirth, him fighting himself (literally) and trying to determine his own fate. And even though the MCU isn't doing it exactly like the comics, it's nice to see the parallels between the two.
I really like how they gave him his character development it's like: Look we don't have this many years (2012- 2020) for you to grow up so well just make you watch how all of your future choices lead you to your sad demise, ok bud. Loki: ┭┮﹏┭┮
Regarding the various “burn it to the ground” comments: Mobius said he would help him burn down the nightmare department, and since we’re dealing with time here… maybe he’s already done it? Other variants of loki have certainly burned the TVA so I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that past Mobius went to the future and betrayed or burned the TVA with loki (either future loki or another variant). It definitely seems like the TVA COULD turn out to have some nefarious plot going on in the background, but it’s too early to tell
Möbius just said that Loki should start with his desk. It was just a joke not an offer to assist and the other that department I’ll help u burn was also just a stupid joke to lighten the mood.
I like how the episode immediately answered one of my questions. "Why were the avengers allowed to just get away with the time heist". And it turns out, that because they were going to fix everything in time, they were destined to do it.
@@fzchannel6879 well actually yes Thanos did won that's why they traveled back in time. They didn't wanted to defeat Thanos but just wanted to bring back people who got erased. They fixed the timeline after cap travelled back in time to return the stones. And after living a good life he came back again so u see they fixed everything but Loki didn't that's why acc to TVA what Avengers did was supposed to happen.
I like how you casually put in the "over-text" when "Peggy" walked through with the agent in the hallway. Everyone else who has reviewed the episode have ALL said it was Peggy Carter.
I’m confused because Dr Strange only saw 1 outcome with success so how was Loki escaping not supposed to happen like then they had to go to another place and yeah like none of the tony meeting his dad would have happened or cap seeing his picture on peggys desk
When they took loki on the desert they placed a reset charge there to avoid that displacement of time there, therefore making another loki there that didn't get away and continued on to that timeline. That's why on episode 1 Loki saw himself die on the projector until his file ends that's because it still happened.
@@kidvette2004 Actually I believe that large orange stone in the drawer is the soul stone, yellow is the mind stone. I could also be a bit colorblind tho so take with a grain of salt.
@@NobaraGamezzz That wouldn't have worked, since the Infinity Stones only work in their original universe. Basically, those Infinity Stones in the drawer are useless, and therefore, are paperweights.

The coolest part I think was when he was watching his death. The file didn’t end when his neck was snapped because we saw Thor hugging Loki. The file ended from the explosion meaning Loki died from the initial explosion instead of his neck being snapped!?
There are actually just as many reality stones as time stones, which makes sense considering warping reality is probably the best way to deviate from the main timeline other than physically changing time.
@@Kitsuneko111 Really depends if MCU goes that route. Which they actually might though, considering Nexus has been popping up a lot, even if in different meanings.
@@Designation_B-127 I personaly imagine that that can happen a lot actually. If the original comments theory is true, then there are really only two things that can effect reality enough to actually make a huge difference. The Reality stone and Wanda's newfound ability to command the very fabric of reality to an almost arguably more powerful degree than the Reality stone. So if the TVA doesnt just fix events from the past and present, but also events from the future, then Wanda's power could create many events. This would result in the TVA needing to reset Wanda multiple times until she goes the path that she is meant to go. But this could easily be debunked though, if MCU decides to make Wanda a Nexus being, which then make all of reality revolve around her, literally. If this is the case, then the TVA would have no need to reset Wanda due to everything that she does changes the very fabric in a way that's okay, I guess. I don't know how that would be okay, due to my limited knowledge of the TVA in the first place, but yeah. Though, in all reality (Pun completely intended) we would never actually know if Wanda has been reset unless the MCU specifically states it. So she could have been reset before (Alot of resets) or she could have never been reset. We will never actually know till the MCU tells us. I hope this explains my thinking a bit and doesnt just sound like a complete mess :).
In that drawer, There's many of different Infinity Stones but only one _Soul Stones_ . Because it's really the hardest to get. And the fact that someone lost something they loved and yet didn't get to use that stone, breaks my heart...

Finally, someone else noticed the tesseract's glow dimming significantly inside the TVA. That's one big sign that the infinity gems don't work in the TVA dimension (which exists outside of any universe/timeline)
Marvel: how are we ever going to give Loki the character development that the audience saw and loved after watching multiple movies??? Hmmm… Watching… movies Good idea
In the credits for the show one of the images shows what looks a lot like one of those sling rings that Dr. Strange and the other sorcerers use, and if you look in this at about 12:20 you can see it on the table in the time theater. Which perhaps implies the TVA had a sorcerer in there recently. One of my problems with Infinity War is that if Dr. Strange saw every one of those future timelines, then he knew the time stone would be destroyed anyway, so he would have known that he could destroy it himself to keep it from Thanos in the first place. However, perhaps he actually did try to do this, but the TVA intervened when it happened, and they reset Dr. Strange, who would be powerless in the TVA to stop what was happening.
It’s almost certain that Loki got up to something else whilst the TVA were hunting him and before they found him in the time theatre. I think the moment he realised the TVA were so powerful he just stopped caring about the nine realms. He wants the multiverse now.
I don’t get it. Do the tva control the entire multiverse or just the mcu universe. If it’s the entire multiverse why do they keep referring to one single “sacred timeline”.... like is that the mcu, or is that “timeline” ALL the universes within marvel. Which is a stupid thought as the multiverse is infinite. And if it’s only the mcu universe and all the timelines branching off of it specifically (as in any time travel done within the mcu) then why do variants that are completely different to main mcu Loki exist. Like female Loki or troll Loki. And why did they refer to this Loki as a variant off of earth-616 when he’s clearly a variant off of earth-199999 (mcu). And if they only control the timeline of the mcu, why r they even referring to variants this way. Wouldn’t they all be variants off of the mcu universe? I don’t know what’s going on 🥲
@kobdash jeff we'll just have to watch and see. And no, evil loki isn't born in another universe, but just differ from the main timeline at some point after a nexus event.
@@coldermusic2729 From what I understand, there is only one timeline and the TVA exists to keep it that way. Other timelines constantly emerge, but are pruned by the TVA so that only the sacred timeline remains. In other words, technically the multiverse exists, but it is constantly stopped from developing by the TVA. I think by the end of this series, the TVA will fail to continue doing this and the multiverse will grow beyond what they can cnotrol. Then by the time of the new Docter Strange and Spiderman films there will be a multiverse. And regarding Loki, he can shapeshift into anything he likes, so that's not necessarily a sign of multiverse already existing. He could simply be one or multiple Loki variants from the MCU timeline who discovered the TVA and seeks to control it or destroy its grip on the timelines.
Imagine risking your life doing “whatever it takes” to retrieve infinity stones from the past, only to learn that multiple infinity stones are being used as paper weights...

He doesn’t see that the purpose of his life was to cause pain. All the moments he sees are about loss and love for his family. He thinks he’s supposed to conquer but after seeing that he realizes how much others mean to him and how he can do good
I didn't watch WandaVision or Falcon and Winter Soldier. I also had no desire to watch Black Widow or the Eternals or any of Phase 4, really. After Endgame, I felt like I was pretty satisfied with the whole MCU. But the Loki series so far looks so amazing, and your analysis video has helped push me towards watching Phase 4. My favorite part of this video was when you pointed out that the Tesseract immediately dimmed upon entering the TVA, leading to Loki's despair when he finds out that the most desired, most powerful artefacts in the MCU up to that point, were just paperweights to the TVA.
1 additional detail I loved about the episode: Mobius’ name is interesting, as it is a nod to the Mobius strip- the only 3D object to have just 1 edge and 1 face. The edge of a mobius strip is undending (or infinite). Subtle nod to how time is infinite and Mobius is tasked with protecting it!

I feel so sad when they said that Loki exist just to make others higher.
He is my favourite character
At least it's a purpose. In a way he's saved thousands of humans and half of the universe.
@@Kitsuneko111 Really depends if MCU goes that route. Which they actually might though, considering Nexus has been popping up a lot, even if in different meanings.
@@Upstartvirus04 she never got reset

One of my problems with Infinity War is that if Dr. Strange saw every one of those future timelines, then he knew the time stone would be destroyed anyway, so he would have known that he could destroy it himself to keep it from Thanos in the first place. Fun Fact: The TVA Agent that Loki got send to to "Sign everything hes ever said" is actually playing solitaire on his small monitor
@kobdash jeff I know right. I’m confused.
@@Timbo5000 Um. That already happened in episode 2 yesterday.
The “T282” on one of the structures in the TVA could be a nod to Thor Issue 282. Its when the time keepers first appeared in the comics.
Nice catch, bro!
They put that in there for you, and you alone, to find, mate. Kudos! lol
Imagine risking your life doing “whatever it takes” to retrieve infinity stones from the past, only to learn that multiple infinity stones are being used as paper weights...
No soul stones in the drawer so it was worth it

Actually I think the orange ones are soul stones hahaha

Witch is weird because it comes back later on...
No, it just rolls away and is hidden by Loki's leg, you can still see the blue glow reflecting on the floor if you look close enough at the last second of the shot.
O found 4 new details:1-when loki disguises as captain America, he had a scar on his face and then after he disguises, the fake captain America also has a scar on his face even though the original captain doesn't
2 -when loki escapes the plane with cash and gets goes to Asgard, some notes were left behind in which some of em werecut in half, just like the dragon cut in half in Thor 3
3- the devices used by TVA authorities (kinda cell phones) can again be seen in the desk where he put the tesseract and other infinity stones which were told to be noted as "evidence" that proves a team has been destroyed and that phones are evidence to it
4- the weapons used by TVA authorities can be used in 2 methods, the tip is in blue colour when it is used to slow down time and golden(yellow) colour when used to destroy
You forgot ant man

at 11:33 with Loki holding the timestone when he finds all the paperweights, if, if you pause it, there are some other items of interest in the drawer.
There's two varying electro magnets, which was the pre-cursor to the arc reactor that saves Starks life in the cave. A war medal, but I can't read the evidence tag, another evidence tag that says, "Lots of early 19**, Baseball Cards, and has a location of APB-EGO{its under the cross). The odd brass and wood thing(Just under Lokis hand) reminds me of a Ring Sling that Dr. Strange and the others use for channeling their power. No clue what the Casino chip and marbles might be a reference to.
Small detail at the end: loki leaves the space stone, he hold it like a holly item all the time, but at the end he just leaves it on the stair, cause he knows it's useless
"These are the minute men"
Preston Garvey "another variant needs to be reset. Here, I'll mark it on your timeline..."

I knew I would see this. I was hoping I wouldn't.
When loki finishes watching his life he realizes the purpose of his life was to cause pain and suffering so when the lady finds loki laughing and asks him whats he laughing at ....he gives him a taste of his glorius purpose😁
AHHH! The slight of hand is amazing! The fact that they actually choreographed it makes it SO GOOD!
1 additional detail I loved about the episode:
Mobius’ name is interesting, as it is a nod to the Mobius strip- the only 3D object to have just 1 edge and 1 face. The edge of a mobius strip is undending (or infinite).
Subtle nod to how time is infinite and Mobius is tasked with protecting it!
plus tony in endgame used the mobius strip to prove his time heist in endgame
@@ItzWizard25 Oh yes that too!
