And now you're being sued because you didn't even investigate any of these claims in the slightest to corroborate them. The "receipts" you have were provided by Lively's team and omit essential details to misinform. Baldoni's suit against you shows he specifically told his team not to run a smear campaign against her, despite being hurt that she completely took over his film. You should be ashamed at your horrendous "journalism" in this case.
The New York Times must be held fully accountable for misrepresenting the messages between Blake and Justin, framing the narrative in her favor. It’s deeply disappointing that a media outlet of this stature can so easily manipulate public perception, portraying Blake as the victim without presenting the complete context. Now that Justin has released the full messages, it’s evident that the truth is far more complex than what was initially reported. This situation highlights the critical need for responsible journalism that prioritizes accuracy and fairness over sensationalism.
Gaslighting and victim smearing by deflecting the real problem(s)......Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. So much for unbiased reporting with actual facts and fact checking. Does the Enquirer own the NYTimes? Rupert Murdoch? The weird thing is that people (not many) are supporting her knowing NOTHING. Yet no one is actually saying she is right. Nor are they saying Justin is. Those who were on set the whole time of filming probably need their jobs and hopefully protecting themselves with their union reps.
Kjersti Flaa sold her story to Daily Mail…she was paid to complain…these dates align with the smear campaign. Kjersti is profiting off of a sexual assault survivor. She smeared herself, for profit.
Basically Blake Lively is a brand. The movie promotion was bad for her brand empire and she is taking it out on the person she refused to allow direct the film his company has right to. And she’s the victim for not wanting to be directed? Seems unprofessional.
so in essence NYT did exactly what they claim team Justin did... and even worse. And most important as Justin states they did hire the PR team AFTER Blake went berserk and demanded credits or she wasn't to promote the movie at all. She was the one who raised the stakes.
@@enjay5696 Says so much about the integrity of the NYTimes and their "reporters". Sleaze. I just hope people can see what the NYTimes has sunk to and boycott it. I think I need to check on the integrity of the Washington Post and their staff and the Los Angeles Times, as well.
The fact that you are still promoting this story is just stupid considering you clearly manipulated information to try to create another "MeToo" narrative for an egotistical, vain woman who is clearly lying. She claims the studio forced her to promote the film by focusing on flowered dresses and making light of the subject matter, and we're meant to believe that she was suddenly compliant and obedient after completely taking the film out of the director's hands, having her husband write scenes, changing wardrobes and musical tracks, and throwing the Director out of the editing room? Seriously? Likewise, she claims that JB is to blame 1) for her awful hair product line failing (which fashion bloggers returned for being utterly awful) and 2) her alcohol line failing, when she is on camera telling consumers that she doesn't even drink alcohol--her own product!? Shame on you NYT! You're hurting real victims of SH.
You are talking about Kjersti. She did in fact, sell her story to the daily mail - who has a long running reputation of working with PR campaigns to defame and smear public figures. That is a for-profit act. Any sane and moral person Would hold her, Kjersti, Accountable for profiting financially off of the sexual abuse of another woman. No one with any genuine interest in lively character or the narratives of DV survivors, Would have done such a thing.
@robinsalem8201 I suspect she'll be paying by the time this is all over, because she is definitely doing what she is accusing him of. Narcissists will project.
No, she isn't. What is being presented about him are his own actions and the actions of those around him used to protect his sorry butt. They are literally discussing how they're going to smear her and ruin her career because of things that were done TO her not BY her. If you can't see the difference, it's because you choose not to.
@@kas7145 I don't believe the things Blake has said, she has already been proven to be an unreliable source, so we don't have any way of knowing the truth about him, but when she accused people of these things, they, including Justin, put in writing that they were not going to agree to them because they didn't agree with her, but what they were willing to do was sign something agreeing to all her demands because they could not afford financially hold the film up any longer and in the interest of moving forward, they would agree. Blake herself said there were no problems after that because everyone was walking on eggshells around her and bowing to her every demand and whim, yet she then spitefully ostracized him from the group during PR and made it clear the cast was either with him or her, and of course they didn't want the same thing done to them so they did what she wanted. Justin had every right to be scared of her and every right to be angry and every right to protect himself from her.
@user-dv1fp1gj7v And insisting on it being the one used even though the other cut tested better with audiences. They were petty little dictators on that movie.
I would argue that the man who used a DV survivors story as an opportunity to abuse. A woman is the bigger bully. I also happen to think that showing employees unsolicited videos of naked women is a bull bull bullying behaviour, And sexual harassment - Which is illegal. I would also say that entering the private trailers of female cast members when they are naked - And doing so repeatedly, is likewise bullying behaviour. These were Baldoni‘s actions, Along with 30 other behavioural points that he was tasked with resolving in order for the female cast to return to work safely. You let us all know when releasing a film cut is an illegal act. Even then, In your fantasy realm or sexual predators are defended, Baldoni would still be the bigger bully and the bigger criminal. Blake lively did nothing wrong.
@@Micsq4lv I would say that Blake Lively is not a reliable source and if she was really concerned with being walked in on, since she claims it was happening repeatedly, when she was naked, as someone who works on movie sets pointed out, she would have locked her door when she was going to unclothe herself because some people don't care and people are in and out of the trailers all the time. Videos of naked women was this mother of four or five walking in on a guy who worked there showing someone a video of his wife giving natural child birth and being so bothered, she didn't leave but kept watching. This is the nonsense that makes people question everything this woman says. She's manipulative and full of it.
I don't believe her simply because there's an evident power imbalance. Blake Lively and her husband are way more powerful than Justin. Most people don't know who he is. The claim that he'd make her do anything against her will just doesn't add up. But hey, let her produce the evidence in court, until then it's all allegedly.
Agreed. It makes no sense that she took no action the whole time but suddenly she's the victim just because someone needs to be the scapegoat for her unpopularity.
For her to be believed, she would have needed to file this before the movie even aired. She ruined this movie. I didn't see it. She was rude and terrible in trying to promote the film. I don't believe her allegations and I also think THIS is a smear campaign against Justin Baldoni. EDIT: NY Times you ever going to an in-depth piece on some actual news, like Amnesty International calling the situation in Gaza a genocide? Or is money from Ryan Reynolds more important???
A good smear campaign would make a huge amount of people think pretty much what you now think and, crucially, those who did would have no way of knowing they’d ever been manipulated.
@@anonimushbosh True, but I have no social media accounts and do not like Colleen Hoover books, and had no interest in seeing a film about domestic violence as a survivor myself. All I was exposed to was Blake Lively's actual words and PR she did. She is the reason people think she's a nepo brat that isn't a good actress. She was her own smear campaign!
The comments are troubling me. A smear campaign and Blake Lively's own attitude problems are not mutually exclusive. Justin Baldoni seems like a smart, articulate, cultured guy. He and his team knew the public already didn't like Blake's personality, making his plan easy to set in motion. I don't believe Blake Lively is entirely a victim AND I also don't think Justin Baldoni is entirely innocent and virtuous.
@@zingingcutie8421She destroyed her own career. He was ready to do it if need be, but in the messages they said they did have to. She is not strapped for cash. She knows what she is doing and you guys are falling for it.
Not sure why so many people are crying despite the overwhelming evidence shared in this video. The lady was harassed and she fought back. What's wrong with that? Oh, I forgot the country chose the person reflecting their values to lead the next 4 years. No wonder!
That's interesting because my bestfriend's friend from Columbia was called "ugly" by blake during an acting audition once. So - I tend to believe she lacks empathy -
It's a she said he said situation. There's no evidence yet proving she was indeed harassed. We need to see the courtroom evidence to decide. Same thing happened with Amber Heard and turned out to be a complete 180 from audio records.
I saw no smear campaign. All I saw was Blake Lively speaking with a cold expression, saying rude things. I read no social media posts, thus I saw nothing “planted”. My negative opinion of Ms. Lively is entirely based on the words she used, and the way she delivered those words.
I agree with you. I don’t judge Justin for attempting to save himself for him making a romantic pass at his co-star. He was wrong, but not sure why Blake used it to lord it over him when they promoted the movie by leaking that Justin had been inappropriate and asked for her weight. Then the Blake videos came out of her true self. It looks like she leaked first. What she should have done is not leak anything., That was a hateful low blow toward Justin, because it was serious and the accusation should have been used to sue, not manipulate a man to lord it over his head to punish him and shame in public. Again not excusing unwanted romantic passes, but it was a matter of smacking him on the head and telling him to knock it off. The surprising thing is that Justin didn’t have to smear her even though he was ready to do it; fight like she was fighting him dirty. Her atrocious behavior is what did her in. To treat strangers who showed up having to interview her because it’s their job was a blow to my psyche that people like Blake could use her status to rain terror onto people who made a comment or asked her questions in a respectful manner and proceed to crush their spirits. I’m sure these interviewers are star struck with her and then she throws a mean girl tantrum on them to get them. Yeah, Justin crossed the line. His punishment was the complaint Blake filed while doing the movie, his employees sided with Blake. Any further things she did was just her being manipulating calculating and wanting to ride the S-harassment complaint as she willed, like again, as we saw her leak when they did the promotion of the movie. All he did here is giving the illusion he single-handedly buried her but it was the videos which show a Blake Lively being nasty self. Everyone forgave Winona Ryder for thieving. She hurt herself, robbed a business and the punishment was being charged and shamed. Glad she came back. But Blake hurt people, has gaslighted her atrocious behavior toward strangers, doubled down it’s Justin who tanked her business ventures for her own actions. Justin just exposed her.. if he leaked those videos. He’s was like a whistleblower for exposing a mean girl. Nobody likes or accepts people in society who lives their lives abusing their status to berate people. So she’ll have to prove Justin actually tanked her with those videos of her berating people throughout the years. All she has if you ask me is his making a romantic pass at her. I’m not sure why Scarlett Johansson didn’t sue her and Ryan for cheating on her while Scarlett was married to Ryan, allegedly 🙄but there is also videos of Blake gushing over Ryan when they were doing interviews over that movie and he was still married. I do know this to be a fact: Scarlett was interviewed later and she said she never saw it coming. That tells me Ryan dropped her like a hot potato. In my speculation was bc he’d found someone else. He then married Blake a year after. If these two were having an affair while Ryan was married in any point in my book that is the worse inappropriate behavior.

@@EST84xThey are probably part of the smear campaign, a troll still working for Baldoni. He’s paying trolls to do this they’ve probably actually ramped up the trolling now after this lawsuit
She might be arrogant sometimes like many rich and beautiful people. But to need a meeting to ask that you get your privacy when undressed and a meeting to ask not to be shown naked pictures are two big red flags.
People CANNOT UNSEE that viral Blake Lively interview & reading many other supporting testimonials from others who have experienced the unsavoury side of her character. That one viral clip alone did more damage to her reputation than anything else. Even if what she claims about JB is true & she wins the case, she'll never regain character integrity she's lost from her callous behaviour.
Id argue that sexual assault is a crime, and being rude is not. Something tells me the genuine proof presented that Baldoni committed sexual harassment (his phone and email screenshots and witnessed behaviour) will damage his reputation far more than hers. Factually speaking, A sane person who is made aware of a paid for campaign, which engineered false narratives about lively in order to manipulate public trust and suppress her complaints of sexual assault against her abuser (Baldoni) A sane person who has been made aware of that, Would rethink those dubiously, timed and irrelevant and outdated interview clips. Anyone who genuinely supports survivors of sexual assault, Will support lively. I find her publicly perceived character and her integrity have been strengthened By this experience. It proves that she is willing to stand up for survivors, Including herself, And that she always had a genuine interest in doing so when she accepted the DV project. She has a family, a beautiful career and enough money to retire for lifetimes. She does not need to burden herself by interacting with her abuser - But it’s the right thing to do, Because in doing so, she protects any other woman and entertainment from having to be abused and subjected To global harrassment For saying no. That is the act of an ally. Conversely, A man who behaves contradictorily To his publicly stated interest in supporting survivors , In order to abuse a woman is Untrustworthy, Dangerous, Unprofessional, Hypocritical, And repugnant. Blake was always authentic, and never paid for distraction to insulate her from prosecution- she never did anything illegal. Frankly, I hope in the future she’s even ruder to entertainment interviewers - Considering so many of them were paid to stab a woman for standing up to assault. With that many alliances to her abusers, I hope she sues them all for defamation.
The problem with situations like this one is that people expect victims of abuse or harassment, whatever kind, to be perfect. Yes Blake Lively seems like a rude person in a couple of interviews that resurfaced during all of this, but that doesn’t make it ok to hire someone to destroy that person. This is what’s wrong with society today, people want to destroy people and revel in their pain. What is wrong with people?
Exactly. Abuse of women doesn’t matter if she isn’t likeable. Always was the case, still is. I am shocked how cold and harsh even women are in this situation, there are detailed descriptions of the assault, the cast is siding with Blake, another person filled a complaint and yet they brush it off. Mob mentality, if it was socially acceptable, they would be publicly killing and assaulting women like they did to an innocent princess who was a friend of Marie Antounette during the French Revolution. Nothing is changed. People are showing time and time that they enjoying preying on someone out of jealousy and misery of their own lives.
One could say this is also a smear campaign as well. Either way its rich people problems that affect no one but themselves. Show business is 304 business is the saying if I'm correct. May they come to an amicable conclusion.
What do you mean smear campaign???? NOBODY forced her to be rude in interviews... people pulled out footage not rumors.... and I don't understand why you have to be topless to get your makeup done!
They edited clips of her being "mean" in interviews to make her look bad. I've never even seen her in a movie but remember thinking at the time that it seemed she just had a dry sense of humour in those interviews and if you watch the full interviews they generally went well and weren't uncomfortable at all.
It was body makeup. You know, makeup on her body. And there is plenty of evidence of a smear campaign in the texts and emails they subpoenaed. You clearly sound uninformed since all of this was outlined in the lawsuit, which is public, as is the article in the NYT. So you might want to inform yourself before attacking a victim of sexual harassment.
@falalalalaa You clearly cannot read. She alleges there was a smear campaign. But if you read the text messages, it clearly said that they were prepared to do it but didn't have to because the internet was doing it already. She did it to herself. Blaming it on him when there was plenty of information from her past that had nothing to do with the movie that showed her horrible character. Then with all of that "harrasment" she still goes on with the movie, when her husband is a mega star and they could have sued for a hostile work environment? So if she did not get the bad press would she had ever came out with the sexual harassment? So it is ok to sexually harass someone on set, just as long as the person being harassed does not look bad? Is this y'all queen?
The magazine appears to present a one-sided narrative by failing to verify the facts that impacted Justin, framing the article around a particular individual without proper fact-checking or corroboration. This approach strikes me as highly unprofessional journalism. It seems the magazine is biased, as it did not adequately investigate the background of both sides of the story. In fact, this shift in editorial direction makes The New York Times resemble a tabloid, much like Page Six, which is a concerning move.
They were on to something about feeding a public ready to hate on women. Blake has been in the public eye since her teens. She’s built a career in the industry. I’m no cinephile but I had not heard of Justin before this movie. I definitely did notice an increased negative online presence about Blake these past few months and the details in her court material alleging the smear campaign come as no surprise. People jumping on the “she was so mean in that interview” bandwagon need to check themselves. Actors have bad days and there are hours of footage of lots of celebrities losing it with journos. It really is as the PR firm opined, the public is hungry to hate on women
@t33ny76 agreed. They have to do hours and hours of interviews where basically the same question gets asked over and over again. You are going to give some crap interviews. You are going to appear rude sometimes. Also there are so so many interviews where male celebrities give single word answers, where is the outrage there.
@Napkinatorz everything in the NY times article would have been backed up with documentation otherwise they aren't printing that. So you have an actress who had to have a meeting to request that she stopped getting walked in on in states of undress, to stop having her body commented on, to stop being shown naked pictures and for Justin to stop talking to her about her dead father and how he can talk to the dead. My scrutiny is present and I'm appalled this happened.
Blake lively is a bully. There’s plenty of videos of it. She’s just trying to get her way years after the fact because she tanked her own career because of her narcissism, and people defending her are defending her horrible behavior for their own selfish personal reasons.
Bully? Horrible behavior? Based on perfectly edited videos taken from interviews to make her look bad. Apparently, you're one of the dumb people who fell for this smear campaign
Well maybe this investigator should go further the investigation starting with Stephanie Jones. Why? do your investigation because there's speculation that Jones the firm of Juatin owner was the one that handed over the phone from the publicist who left the firm to start her own firm and upset when she heard she was going to start her own. There's speculation also her husband has his own whose client is Reynolds and seems that Jones may be working with blake to vindicate for there needs Justin and the publicist
For those that need further clarity into the legal situation between Blake/Baldoni is look up Popcorn Planet and the latest update from the journalist who posted the infamous video. Blake and her husband are certainly doing what she claims Justin did with smearing campaigns by meticulously cherry picking through the texts who she had received from the previous publicist that represented Justin owned by Stephanie Jones by handing over the company cell phone when she left ti srart her own and took clients away from her that also was working to come up with a plan if needed to smear Blake lively when Justin felt to hired a crisis team ahead of the movie premiere as he new Blake would start making allegations or trouble.
Blake and her husband also wanted you to buy the rights to this book that the movie is based on to continue sequels. Even if they buy it and Blake continues to play the character I doubt anyone will be interested in watching any sequels because she damaged her own reputation
It's just disappointing how quickly the public turned on her like people are all too happy to see her suffer for who she is, basically out of spite. One witch hunt after another over the smallest things but excusing genuinely bad men no matter what..
That's the thing, this very true and harmful dynamic is being weaponized against someone who is likely not a bad man the way he is being painted out to be in the complaint. I read the whole thing and I'm not sold
Take social media comments with a pinch of salt. I see a lot of pro-Baldoni comments of youtube videos, even though hardly anyone knows who he is. The astroturfing campaign is going full-send on social media
@@noah1322 I know, he's barely known but strangely people fight for him on social media like they're friends or family. She waited until the movie is on Netflix to submit a complaint against Justin and his company. To collect all the checks, and money, and right before Christmas to submit these documents.
I hope you realise that you’ve harmed women everywhere with your sloppy reporting. Even if Lively’s claimed are factual, your poor choices have ruined her reputation further-not saved it. You are not a friend to progress. Do better NYT.
I chose to not watch the movie 100% due to how she conducted herself and what came out of her mouth in various interviews. Her tarnished reputation was self-inflicted and by her own doing.
Personally, I would take a true rude survivor over a two-faced sexual predator any day of the week. But then again, my support of survivors is not performative, Whereas yours seems so. I also happen to have a key or sense of social justice and the law as a means of protection against abuses. For instance, sexual harassment is a crime. Being not nice in an interview eight years ago is not illegal in any way, shape or form. You can attempt to contort public trust with reality all you want - But, at the end of the day, All that reveals in this instance is that you are aiming to protect a sexual predator from prosecution. Baldoni‘s actions and his own words are publicly available to anyone by reading lives legal complaint. There are screenshots, There is witnessed behaviour.
Megan Twohey was the one bringing down Harvey Weinstein (and was played by Carey Mulligan in the movie "She Said"). I trust her research and conclusions.
Notable how Sony, WME (which also represent Baldoni), the other actors, and Colleen Hover ALREADY publicly support Blake Lively in this even though the public is Team Justin Baldoni. There is no smoke without a fire. I am well aware that people hate Blake Lively based on her interviews in the past but I don't think that behavior warrants a smear campaign, sexual harrassment, and retaliation.
Also his “Man Enough” podcast co-host Liz Plank quit and distances herself from him and his ex-publicist is suing him. I mean, these people don't wait for a verdict (which will probably take 1-2 years) for a reason.
@@pb.j.1753 yup 100% agree... he must be a real AH jerk for the people who were close to him (co-host, cast, publicist) to quickly and publicly side with her and believe her with very little open public known evidence. And there was heavy speculation Blake stole Scarlett Johansson’s husband while filming the Green Lantern which resulted in their divorce and Blake marrying Ryan. If those rumors were true I just think Blake has big feminism balls for trying to crucify Justin for making an unwanted romantic pass at her to a new level. Yes he did wrong. But the punishment she still wants to inflict is unreasonable by adding these other things like the weight thing. In my view the punishment was served when she reported him while doing the movie to HR, now filing it publicly, getting the cast to abandon him. I mean that’s a lot. But to use S-harassment to lord it over him to manipulate him at will like when she leaked he was being inappropriate and asked for her weight when they began to promote the movie. Who does that if it’s not to hurt someone? Either sue or use it to essentially blackmail his life by having the S-harassment complaint over him to cause him to do what she wants and I think is what she did. But bc of her bad behavior surfaced it looks like now she is committed to sue Justin bc her booze and hair product line tanked. I’m sure her promoting her booze and hair products were not in the Sony list of things to promote. I don’t blame him for hiring a PR team. If that woman had sunk her fangs into me I’m going to try to save me by showing she’s not perfect either. No one is perfect. If you already punished someone for wrong doing don’t continue to ride on that mishap to manipulate that persons life. That’s super cruel.
Wow!!!! A news report drops AFTER the news is made public? Woah, time is linear? I can't believe this video wasn't released before the lawsuit was filed! Or even better yet, before Justin sexually harassed Blake. I can't believe news reporters report on news after it occurs. I'm shocked.
The fact that people don't see she's a classic narcissist is beyond me, that's clear from the old interviews too. If it wasn't for her husband who's a Sony box office draw, she'd never even gotten into this whole lawsuit in the first place. She just can't deal with seeing the fact that the public doesn't like her and the way she handled the release campaign for the film showed how oblivious she is. It's basically Amber Heard op-ed all over again.
Because they can't wrap their heads around a woman being one. Ask someone with a narcissistic mother if women can be abusers. Plus why would anyone be shocked that anyone among the wealth hoarders would be a narcissist? The lack of critical thinking is astounding.
How can you tell is not the other way around? and the new York times is part of a smear campaign orchestrated against Baldoni? I mean they published gossip columns too, editorials and they lack credibility every too often.
Lol, no, it's literally just her OWN actions and personality that we can see with our own eyes. So funny how entitled Hollywood people always claim the public's justified disgust with them is just a "coordinated smear campaign".
Marilyn Monroe. Britney Spears. Katherine Heigl. Blake Lively. Sidney Sweeney. The playbook stays the same, year after year after year. Men first elevate a pretty blonde for being nice and bubbly and attractive. And then when they tire of her, or she sticks a toe out of line....the men direct the women to turn on her for not being perfect. Tear her apart, have women take her down out of envy and spite. Men benefit the whole cycle through, first in having their eye candy, and then in having women do their dirty work taking another women down. And then they find the next one. On and on and on and on, and seemingly we never learn. I support Blake. She does not deserve this. And shame, shame, on all the people ganging up on her.
Thats just misandry. How I understand your comment you want to say people did this to her on purpose BECAUSE they are MEN?! The examples probably fit regarding injustice but not for Blake Lively if she is just behaving badly. Thats her doing.
@@FishareFriendsNotFood972 So you assume she is telling the truth because she is a woman? Try again sweetie. Speaking as a woman who supports truth, not complaints.
Apparently Justin Baldoni is so insidious, he made Blake Lively fat-shame an interviewer while she was doing press for a Woody Allen movie she starred in years before she & Mr. Baldoni ever worked together on It Ends With Us! I don't know whether Mr. Baldoni sexually harrassed Ms. Lively. I personally am inclined to withold judgment until the legal process plays out. After all, a Complaint is a series of allegations, not facts. But even if the allegations are true, Ms Lively had a history of rude & questionable behavior before she worked with Mr. Baldoni on It Ends With Us. I'm not sure this lawsuit will save her reputation, even if the litigation resolves in her favor.
@TheApplecorped I would suggest you work on your reading comprehension. I did not defend Justin Baldoni. I stated that Ms. Lively has had a long history of rude & problematic behavior long before filming It Ends With Us with Mr. Baldoni, which is objectively true - there are many clips of her being rude to journalists & former cast mates in interviews going back to her Gossip Girl days, she got married on a literal slave plantation, and she wrote an article for her Preserve website on the "appeal of antebellum," basically romanticizing the pre-Civil War American southern plantation class. That alone informed my & many other people's opinion of her long before the It Ends With Us press tour. As for her claims that Mr. Baldoni sexually harassed her, I stated I was withholding judgment until the litigation resolved. That's not a defense of Mr. Baldoni & only the unintelligent or disingenuous would suggest otherwise.
Agreed. You are a rare gem in this time of people see a little bit of information and completely jump to conclusions and decide that a complaint equals facts. We haven’t heard from his side yet and I’m sure she’s not going to be painted in the most glamorous light with whatever he had to put up with as well. Most likely we’re going to find out they’re both jerks or at least not innocent.
@KLD2305 irrelevant. Being not nice in interviews Isn’t illegal. Sexual harassment is Illegal. Aligning with sexual predators to suppress survivors of assault Is more problematic than anything Blake lively has ever done. Guess you’re just as guilty as Baldoni - Considering you’re aligning with his act To suppress The woman who survived his abuse.
Even if everything presented in her complaints were true, the videos shown on social media are true too. They are a true representation of what kind of a mean person she is. She’s bullying people constantly and nobody says no to her. She and her husband must have pulled some strings to get these texts because they have power. I just don’t see how she’s the “good” person in this whole situation.
A sane person, when presented with screenshots of an engineered smear campaign to manipulate public trust, Would apply more critical, thinking to the dubious timing of those outdated and irrelevant clips. Factually, And publicly accessible to all, Baldoni’s own screenshots Have proven sexual harassment. Being rude is not illegal. Sexually harassment is a crime. Victim blaming a survivor doesn’t make you righteous, Morally correct, Or effective in Your arguments - It aligns you closer To perform activism, And the intent to insulate a sexual predator from prosecution. Why do you value that women who survive sexual assault deserve to be doubted and harassed on a global scale?
It is true, it’s been proven. In screenshots by the guys own hands. He’s a sexual predator. Blake did nothing illegal. Sexual harassment is a crime. Anyone sane understands this.
No, they don't speak for themselves because they're all taken out of context. Blake lost her reputation, and is clearly trying to win it back by falsely attacking Justin through her fake allegations. We can all see right through Blake's BS.
@@joeycrooks6217 Exactly! Neither you nor I know the proper context. Which means you should NOT jump to conclusions and spray false accusations without understanding the frame of reference. This is not the Salem Witch trials!
Factually, you just watched a video proving Blake didn’t do this to herself. This video proved there was a paid for campaign and coordinated through the effort of dishonest sexual predators to suppress her for standing up to genuine sexual abuses. Take the L Kelly.
people are so f'd. They are letting their personal feelings about the people involved get into the situation so they can justify their judgments. It doesn't matter how you feel about either of them. I didn't hear anything about any of this until it exploded in the lawsuit. He hired a PR firm. He wanted and got a smear campaign despite signing a waiver of NO retribution for her bringing up things like sexual behavior ON THE SET. Despite whatever people are bringing other stuff up... its extraneous to the suit.
2:35 Just because Sony signed off on the promotion strategy doesn’t mean it’s set in stone. Public sentiment can change in no time, and I can’t imagine Sony would have an issue with shifting the focus to highlight domestic violence awareness if it made sense. PR and marketing are all about staying flexible and responding to what people care about. I would love to get other people’s thoughts on this.
And with the way her husband always promotes his films and products she can’t pretend that Sony was the reason she launched her hair care line and promoted her mixers while also launching her alcohol line during the most inappropriate movie for it. she should’ve waited for her next movie a simple favor sequel to do all that as it would’ve fit the promotion and the tone much more with less backlash.
@@HandsomeMalcolmcats 100%. It also didn’t make sense for BL to completely avoid mentioning DV. They could have taken a more balanced approach, and I don’t think it would have hurt the movie’s bottom line.
Yeah. Everyone simply forgot about the video where it’s clearly drunk Depp throwing a glass bottle at Heard. She managed to move away before the bottle broke into pieces but she could have been easily killed or seriously injured. Amber is no angel but physically attacking a woman isn’t okay. Depp had a choice to leave her if she was toxic instead of resorting the violence, but the whole world let it slide bc they liked the actor so much. This company found their niche. Wouldn’t be surprised if Prince Andrew hires them next.
This is not going to end well for Blake Lively. The cat’s already out of the bag. The retired Hollywood hairdresser interview is really insightful about this Blake Lively character.
People who can be bought when it’s convenient aren’t trustworthy people. Frankly, I think this is gonna solidify Blake lively As a formidable producer With a stronger ally ship Then before. Baldoni screenshots are revealing of his intent and design to leverage the story of DV survivors to abuse a woman on a global scale. Sexual harassment is a crime, Blake lively is right to stand up to it - And she has a right to do so, Baldoni had no right to assault those women.
I don't like Blake Lively or her acting because of Blake Lively. She has written her own reputation, and this film just amplified the poor reputation she's built for herself with her plantation wedding, antebellum aesthetic, and utter rudeness to people she works with who aren't of star status. If Justin Baldoni followed her demands after the all hands on deck meeting, she can quit crying now.
Exactly! No one ruined her reputation except her. The receipts are there in numerous interviews SHE gave. And yet the evidence against him is hearsay, and her say! The fact that so many people are not supporting her is for some reason....and it ain't cuz we're all stupid!
Sure Erica. I'm sure you're a real BLM activist in your personal life. Definitely. Totally giving that vibe. LOL. The hypocrisy on you women going after other women is deafening.
Agreed. It’s interesting how if you don’t immediately support a woman or in this case, Blake, you’re personally attacked not just allowed to have a different opinion as all the details get fleshed out. People can think for themselves and see what she’s done by her own track record and the details are still coming so for everybody who is immediately on her side, it seems as though it’s her well crafted PR team, creating a smear campaign of this guy that didn’t bow down to her demands in the way she may be used to. Believe all women? No. Think for yourself and weigh out the details and facts? yes.
@@FishareFriendsNotFood972Condescending to everyone who criticizes your crush Blake. Sorry, sweetie, Blake has a husband and unless she's paying you why do you feel the need to fight her battles by ridiculing others. That's a sign of insecurity.
They'll probably win because the bar for proof is so high in these cases, but NYT, RR, and BL are a joke in the court of public opinion now. So much for journalistic integrity. Just as corrupt as Washington.
How about you guys also cover her mean girl attitude ruined her reputation. She didn’t need help. If she was nice, the smear campaign would not have worked.
Being rude isn’t illegal. Sexual harassment is a criminal offence. Lively is exercising her rights in a formal court of law. Innocent people don’t need to hire PR forms to manipulate public opinion against reality. Keep bending over to abusers if you want. But don’t expect others to do so as easily.
A man's 'niceness' is literally NEVER made a big deal like you still insist on making a woman's. And why, girly?? That kind of stuff can be used against you too! What participate in a system that keeps you down as well?
@@Micsq4lv Except she's not. The NYT article was based on a complaint, not a lawsuit. In the NY federal lawsuit Blake filed there is no mention of sexual harassment only loss of earnings and emotional distress.
This is a story about adults. And how two men manipulated public trust on a global campaign against one women because she stood up to sexual assault. That is newsworthy.
This is a complaint. It is not proof. Why isn’t the NYT saying “alleged?” It sounds to me like they are trying to redirect a narrative that already played out. What happened to innocent until proven guilty? And it’s just amazing to me that Blake was pushing that positive, upbeat message while being completely dismissive of any questions about dv in the movie. I’d like to think a woman who truly suffered from such abuse would be much more sympathetic. She should have at least have been coached on how to handle that question since it was likely to come up. We haven’t forgotten how she behaved during tour interviews. She did that to herself. Also, were those charges brought up with Sag-Aftra? Those charges should have been brought to the union. That could have strengthened her allegations. Ms. Twohey, to me, you yourself sound like a tool of redirection. You are reading from the complaint and not providing any real investigation.
The article clearly lacked context, a balanced understanding of both sides, and a comprehensive perspective. I hope the NYT and Megan Twohey are prepared to face potential repercussions to their reputation and...
Your article was biased, and not trustworthy; why in the world would you imply that the journalist who spoke about Blake being a bully was part of the campaign??? Shame on you and your lack of journalistic integrity.
Justin did not force Blake to be cruel or be a bully during the interviews she did. She did that herself. No one will watch Blake Lively films now. She is over due to her own doing.
Being not nice in interviews is not illegal. Sexual harassment is a crime. Your performative activism Is not aligned to a moral value of protecting others from abuse. Rather, it is revealing of your intent to insulate a sexual predator from prosecution by continuing to harass his survivor in the attempt that she will be intimidated and oppressed. Factually, Blake is exercising her legal right in a professional, graceful and legally sound manner. Conversely, Baldoni has verbalized in his own screenshots from his phone and email that he had every intent to in his own words “ Bury her in the ground” For telling him no. Blake does not have to pay to manipulate public trust. Innocent people do not do that. It benefits her that Baldoni revealed his own Predatory and retaliatory character. Blake does not need the money. This lawsuit would generate. But I am glad she is exercising her rights, because unlike Baldoni, her actions support and protect other women and survivors of assault and their right to hold abusers accountable.
Baldoni is criminal. Sexual harassment is a crime. Blake did nothing illegal. She has the legal right to hold him accountable for abusing her. She’s full of morally correct to do so also, as it protects others from him.

She doesn’t have to save her career, she’s fine. Blake did nothing illegal…or even morally wrong. Sexual harrasment however is a crime. Aligning yourself with the criminal act of defamation doesn’t make you morally correct or superior it just reveals you as a protector of sexual predators like Baldoni.
Blake Lively bullied Princess Catherine who was battling cancer, a journalist, Leighton Meester, and many more. She is awful The jury it out on Baldoni let's see what happens in a law suit

I’m sure Lively was frustrated when she went through this, but she clearly got great advice from a lawyer. Keeping contemporaneous records is very powerful legally. Her husband Ryan Reynolds is no slouch either and they have lots of $$ from his business ventures. This lawsuit can be a game changer to shut down this approach to libel. Good luck to her!
Um, it's not a lawsuit. It is a file of complaints. Maybe you should do some research before commenting. Or are you the type who watches entertainment media for "truth?"

Blake herself said there were no problems after that because everyone was walking on eggshells around her and bowing to her every demand and whim, yet she then spitefully ostracized him from the group during PR and made it clear the cast was either with him or her, and of course they didn't want the same thing done to them so they did what she wanted.
Justin had every right to be scared of her and every right to be angry and every right to protect himself from her.

I would say that Blake Lively is not a reliable source and if she was really concerned with being walked in on, since she claims it was happening repeatedly, when she was naked, as someone who works on movie sets pointed out, she would have locked her door when she was going to unclothe herself because some people don't care and people are in and out of the trailers all the time.

NYT is claiming they "reveal what really happened" -but first we all must agree on the definitions of the words "reveal", "really" & "happened" …

People CANNOT UNSEE that viral Blake Lively interview & reading many other supporting testimonials from others who have experienced the unsavoury side of her character.

Shameless publication.
The evidence shows contrary to what she claims. It will all come out. False accusations of sexual misconduct deserves harsh consequences
You fell for it, Elena. Baldoni is cute but doesnt make him nice.
In the movie, she has bite marks just below her collarbone from her "lovely" husband... That's why she had her top off for makeup.
Also there are so so many interviews where male celebrities give single word answers, where is the outrage there.
lol you obviously swallow whatever media story without any scrutiny 😂
Question overt narratives that _seem_ damning.

There's speculation also her husband has his own whose client is Reynolds and seems that Jones may be working with blake to vindicate for there needs Justin and the publicist

You defend the indefensible for your own personal, psychologically, impaired reasons😢

Rather, it is revealing of your intent to insulate a sexual predator from prosecution by continuing to harass his survivor in the attempt that she will be intimidated and oppressed. Baldoni is criminal. Sexual harassment is a crime. Blake did nothing illegal. She has the legal right to hold him accountable for abusing her. She’s full of morally correct to do so also, as it protects others from him.
@Micsq4lv i guess we will all find out won't we.
Journalism is dead.
Perhaps Baldoni and Lively should team up again for a remake of The Sweet Smell of Success.
We don't know the truth, however whoever I was was, however wealthy or famous[ if one of those acts (described) was committed upon me, I would walk out - it seems that the film was completed???
Lol... Ridiculous, she tries to save her career and reputation after basically the whole internet pointed out her disgusting, arrogant and tone-deaf behaviour during the PR campaign for the movie - not to mention some shameful old interviews where she was simply mean to the interviewer for no valid reason. Her PR team knows very well that sexual harassment allegations are still hot stuff that works with masses and ... few months later ... VOILA! She is suddenly a victim ... Such a shameless person
You're more shameless than she could ever be, lol
@@FishareFriendsNotFood972 interesting how somebody shows their opinion that is not in agreement with supporting this problematic Actress and you attack the person personally. It’s as if you are a bot or work for the PR team with that kind of attitude as I would hate to think this is just how you are on the Internet in the world. People have different opinions, and the truth is still coming out from all sides, so to attack a person who has an opinion that is different than yours is immature and ignorant.
@@HandsomeMalcolmcats They are going after her personally. And I'm merely going after their comments, sweetie. You can tell a lot about their lack of character by how gleefully they tear down a woman. Goes for you too, you would rather defend a creep than believe a woman.
@@FishareFriendsNotFood972
Eww, some mouthy old guy calling you sweetie to put you in your place. Creepy guys on the internet name calling and making allegations not based on facts because he can't argue from facts because the facts are that Blake is an awful person who did this to herself.
She is awful
The jury it out on Baldoni let's see what happens in a law suit
Having a poor taste of humour, or being rude , Doesn’t make her a criminal. Sexual harassment is a crime. Buy your own logic, Blake lively is innocent. Baldoni is not. Using the tactics of her abuser to suppress her complaint and insight further harassment toward her, doesn’t make you correct or morally superior. It reveals you as being someone who is Assisting a sexual predator.
Blake and the princess are both trash.
TeArInG a WoMaN dOwN...these people use that phrase when it's convenient and will always side with the one with more privilege. They're hypocrites.
Yes, those poor one percenters. How will they ever manage this?😂😂😂😂
Um, it's not a lawsuit. It is a file of complaints. Maybe you should do some research before commenting. Or are you the type who watches entertainment media for "truth?"
