@Parker Dacchille how accurate is ohms law equation for tuning amplifiers? Ohms law is power times ohms and square root that equals voltage output at speaker terminals is close to what that amp should put out for that subwoofer. Ok so I have a Rockville rxd-m3 amp which is true rms at 1000 watts at 1 ohm so I took ohms law and got 31.62 volts at speaker terminals for 1000 watts power output to subwoofer and I'm just wondering how accurate that law is I used a 40 hz test tone

Size of wire doesn't mean a whole lot if you don't have the "big 3 or big 4 done" Ofc 4Gauge is plenty for a ap1500 Just means your box is wack to have that much movement on MAYBE 1000 1200W Takes electrical to make power

Mike Cuev oh ok cool I remember now. And a DVC 4 ohm can be wired down to 2 ohms and a DVC 2 ohm can be wired down to 1 ohm. Some amps aren’t stable at 1 ohm however. 0 AWG is a good choice. Unfortunately oxygen shielded wire is more expensive but takes a beating. For $50.. I'm upgrading my "Big 3" to 0 AWG. A single 8 AWG heats up on bass drops on a system like what we have.
OFC bud OFC and 8 gauge what you trying to burn your car down or what?? Never ever less than 4 gauge 8 gauge for your subs!! Dude you bought sky high cca, you absolutely should have gotten ofc, especially since you are using it as RUclips content.. that wire is a mistske, go RUclips cca vs ofc and you'll understand.. cca is for budget, but I promise you won't get near as good of voltage as u would with ofc pure copper.. cca is aluminum wire tinned with copper.. so basically that cca is equal to using 4ga ofc wire, actually I'd rather run 4ga ofc than that junk cca, but u will learn. I understand your a beginner, but when people leave u comments that says to buy ofc u should listen
I notice you're in the comment section a bunch critiquing/ bashing guys set ups while always saying what u have for your system (which tends to change weekly...) I checked your channel couldn't find any uploads from you tho. Give me a link to your setup (ig. RUclips, Facebook, etc), I'd love to see what a PRO like you has to offer.
Yes doing this build in steps. Maybe the voltage won’t be quite as good but the cca 0 gauge will be safer than what I have now and definitely good enough for my needs at the moment. The point of this build isn’t to make a 150db+ competition system but to be a fun project and put smiles on people faces. Appreciate your support
i would of gone with welding cable compare to cca. steve meade did a video weeks ago regarding this and on his video the amp lost 300w using cca compare to ofc. he asked a valid question, would you throw 300w away, you lost 300w with 15ft of cca wire. building steps is ok but build it the right way so the people who are new to the game arent confused by something so simple. whats next youre gonna put a duralast battery in the back because agm is too expensive then have it blow up inside the car. c'mon bro you got subscribers following your footstep dont do them dirty like that

I got a Wolfram 4500 and the thing is quite underrated IT'S A BEAST I'm on this page trying to review some subs I can afford that will handle the power
if you want to push 2000 watts you will need to run another battery preferably an AGM battery because of the current draws. you will have to get 2 AGM batteries, one for the engine and one for the system, 0 gauge wires, and big 3. if you run stock the car can shut off while driving or idle, you can blow your alternator from too much draw or you could blow your amp because youre starving it or blow the sub because the amp sent a clipped signal when it was starve for power. hope this helps
Rowboyto Thank you sm this helped a lot. Now ik that I can’t be pushing 2000w Bc I’m not spending 400$ on two new batteries but I’ll find something else.
@@ParkerTheBasshead hey man I know that you say it's 30 mm I'm not questioning that part I am questioning rather if it is 30 mm and one direction or is that in both directions??? @@ParkerTheBasshead hey if it's only in one direction that's not as good as other subwoofers that will go 30 mm and go 30 mm in both directions that means it will reach out 30 mm and also return to pump air out of your ported box 30 mm so a big part of 30 mm out in one direction is great but it may not return that same 30mm
Hey bro u said u wanna upgrade ur amp? I would try the power accoustic bamf 5000 series. The one with 5- 40 amp fuse. It makes at least 2000rms and it doesn't need as much power because it's a digital and I believe. They're cheap.
@@juliomendoza2013 A v12 1000? He needs something a bit bigger. I've had those 1000s and they are good for a 1000-1200 rms sub. It wouldn't have enough power for that destroyer sub.
I've been asked quite a few times about the comparison of this model against the Audiopipe BD412, it may offer a nice video for you if you choose to do so.
You need a better box. Using the same one for all subwoofers is useless. But I will give it to you, that box seems like it will do okay with any subwoofer. But it won't make any of them sound as good as they can sound.
For the channel it makes more sense to have a single sub system since I have to pay for everything I get. But if it wasn’t for that I would totally get two subs.
Newer subs travel twice as far as they did ten years ago add better enclosure design and cheap power one sub can put in work. Granted there's no replacement for displacement and two would be way better .

Btw bro I’m not hating AT ALL. Just what I felt like was good advice. You look like you genuinely love bass bro, keep on keeping on. I watch your videos whenever I get the time man. Bass on!
Appreciate you man! Got a new amp and ran all new wire. Video will be uploaded as soon as I have time to edit it. I may build a box this summer if I have time
Cut the inside port wall out of it and screw a board over the port opening to make it a sealed box. Than get a 4 or 6 inch diameter aeroport or pvc pipe and cut it to length to make it 31hz, it will sound better.
The skar rp2000 would be a good option! Especially for 200$ I think it is
Rp china, budget amps suck. And you will realize that once you own a good Korean amp like my deaf bonce 4k..
I actually had a rp2k for 2 months and returned it for a skv2.2500, now I have deaf bonce 4k and realize skar is budget friendly but not as good quality at all.. there skv2 line is a Korean board but still built in China
@@tankdog03ify never tried dead bounce so i can't really say much lol but I own the skar rp800 as well as the 1500 and there nothing but hard working amps!
Just purchased a RP-2000 from a buddy yesterday! Should be hooked up tomorrow
Absolutely agree skar rp amps are crap almost bought one myself and had owners of audio shops tell me nothing but bad..its not clean power it's just power..I would look into upgrading your electrical system first...need power to make power..
Wolfram has their ag-12 on preorder for $189 and free shipping
Hook up on one for a future testing
I really want to try one out! Will try to do that ones they are actually out
I want the ag-12s but I'm too impatient. Can't wait 1/4 year for it to get here.

Listen Parker I'm about to run 8-Rockville 12d1s powered by 8-Taramp MD 8000.1s in my 1984 Oldsmobile delta88 real soon. ut I've been seeing a lot
of bashing on those subs on social media.
Did You have any Heat issues with this sub when playing it after 15mins at a time? Been thinking about buying this sub. I cant decide between These 3 Subs.
1) This Rockville Destroyer
2) Skar Vfx
3) SQ HDX3
I have a NVX 5400watt/2700watt rms Amp. So ima be buying 2 12s. What do you think is better between those 3 Subs? I want something that wont have heat issues & need them to be Reliable as possible. I Want YOUR Opinion bro. Plz be honest an just tell me what You'd go with.
In your honest opinion would you purchase 4 to replace 4 existing Rockville Subs. 12 cube enclosure with 10in Aero port turned at 38. Or use the money for a different sub at a close caliber
I’d probably get the American Bass HDs. You can find them close to the same price and they are proven to be good subs where as this Rockville has barely been tested by anyone
@@ParkerTheBasshead 10-4 my friend. I trust your opinion. I was kind of leaning the same direction on that sub being so new and to what we're going to put them through , guess I just needed to hear it said out loud
Aj Sportsman yeah man! Let me know what you end up getting
id run these 4 since its that new and make videos about it but id tune the port at 32-34
Just curious to how this Destroyer has held up over past months. Really considering putting 1 on a Taramps Smart 3 amp. All input is helpful
I have that setup with a 15inch destroyer at 2ohms with a 3000 taramp .
I have it hooked up at 4ohms and the bass is still load yet extremely clear ....of course ... get the right box .
I have my box at 34 ... and the speaker I believe is 33
Would you please do a video on comparing your dB meter with the phone app called "Decibel X" to see how accurate it is compared to your actual SPL meter. I bet viewers would like to know because we don't want to buy an SPL meter just to test our one system ($199-$500)
Hey Brandon, have you ever considered the Epicenter by Audio Control? They have an in dash unit that displays voltage or SPL. I've read different reports, some say the meter isn't very accurate, others say it's very accurate. Plus, the epicenter generates some awesome tones. If u like bass.
Wow the destroyer seems to be next to get killed on RUclips by people I'm hoping you can do another video as well on it someday just to see your views on it as time goes by.
Haha yeah I saw EXOs video. Hope he makes one.
Mine has done really well but I’ve only had it on a 2k amp so after box rise it isn’t seeing 2k. And for $260 there are definitely other subs I could have gotten that would probably be better
@@ParkerTheBasshead Yeah he can burn it haa but yeah that's still good in my book that it's handling your 2k.

I see you broke it in. Nice.
Im thinking about getting one of these, how is it holding up right now? Any issues? Thank you
what about the wolfram c2400 amp. it has a clip light too or the brutal sounds bs2.1
Good channel.... keep it up
Appreciate it! New videos coming soon
Size of wire doesn't mean a whole lot if you don't have the "big 3 or big 4 done"
Ofc 4Gauge is plenty for a ap1500
Just means your box is wack to have that much movement on MAYBE 1000 1200W
Takes electrical to make power
So how did this compare to the other budget subs u tested? I'm talking as far as sq and spl.
Get a wolfram c 2400. To run this sub
Found a good deal on a RP-2000 but once the Wolframs are actually available I might pick one up
Another good cheap amp is the Rockville db16 dynoes out at over 2k @2 ohms, the phenoms are stable to 1ohm. I grabbed a ppi ice7000.1 cause it's .5 ohm stable and dynoes out at 3800 rms. I will be starting my new build very soon, can't wait. No one has reviewed the American bass shallow subs yet so I will ( 2 es1244's on about 2800rms) , hope it slams cause there isn't room in my new truck for my xfl
Or get a. Orion 2500.1dz put it to the test . to see of it really handles power
Do you happen to have 2 sundown sa-12’s?
@@ParkerTheBasshead or just get dual Rockville destroyers on dual RP-2000's and really kill it also upgrade the alt & battery

Is there any chance you could review the mofo 12 or 15 ?
That would be cool to see.

Parker Dacchille ok, thanks
Seal the box and face it towards your front winshield n you'll get that mirror comin off bud
sealed enclosures are not as loud as ported subs???
Maybe with some shitty kicker comps
What's up Parker? Cool video! What did you do with your K9 d4 10"?
I have it in my Subaru. Probably not looking to sell it unless you’re in the area. Shipping on it is quite expensive haha
@@ParkerTheBasshead yeah, this is your bud in Gibsonville, I have the d6 10 in dual 2 ohm in a q bomb vented box. Running it on a small 450 watt amp and I feel like it can do more with a better amp cause I'm running it on 4 ohms bridged. Should I have gotten the 4 ohm dvc so I can run at 1 ohm mono? Don't know if I have the crossover set at the right frequency either. Not real sure about the adjustments on it to get the lowest bass response. Love the sub though but am really contemplating on the d9 or the destroyer.
Mike Cuev oh ok cool I remember now. And a DVC 4 ohm can be wired down to 2 ohms and a DVC 2 ohm can be wired down to 1 ohm. Some amps aren’t stable at 1 ohm however. And when a 2 channel is bridged it often isn’t only stable at 4 ohms and not 2 ohms.
If you wanted to make the drive I’d sell you the Rockville. Follow me on Instagram @parkerdacch and shoot me a message. Easier to talk there than on here
Ya I got the 15 inch and dam it slaps
I bet the 15 is insane!
What have you got pushing that thing?
4000watt Rockville amp right now but about to buy the 6000 watt amp in a couple weeks
@@kevinpiche9437 Awesome. how's that Rockville amp treating you?
How long did this Rockville destroyer last you?
It could be just me but the American Bass sounded a little cleaner
This one rattles the car a little more and so the camera picks that up more than you would in person. That being said the American Bass is incredible and I bet the HD would out due this Rockville
My question to you buddy are these subs good for a half chambered sealed box?
Sounds fine til it goes up in smoke like all of their other products.
Fantastic. One day I will have Earth shattering bass. One day. 600 for an alt though 🥺
I just subscribe to this page and I have never liked or subscribed to any page before. But yo Parker my man I like what you doing keep it up, and could you recommend any subwoofer up to $350 that will handle a Wolfram 4500 or anybody out there
Well i am flattered! It will be hard to find something that can continuously handle the 4500 for $350. However, so long as you don’t go full tilt 24/7 you should be able to find some decent subs. Look up Fi Audio. Also EM Audio. I think they make a 3k sub around that price
@@ParkerTheBasshead I'm only going to be running 4 ohms so about 1300 RMS watts is all I'll be doing do you think 4 Rockville destroyers will work or are the Audiopipe or American bass more highly recommended right now I'm running 4 Champion series Pro and they don't come close!!!! The Rockville phenom 1500.1 does rated @1ohm. I have it on my 15s
Parker, do you think this sub can truly handle 2000 rms?
I just came across these subs on Amazon like an hour ago. I've since then been looking into em and I gotta say, they definitely seem like some monsters for the price tag. I was an Audiopipe guy forever BD3's then a single BD4 and that mf hit hard... This sub is only $80 more than a single BD4 15 and will handle 600 more watts. I also like how fat that lip is. These mfs are extra beefy 💪🏻💪🏻.. I'm definitely lookin forward to gettin one of these houndin in the trunk of my Lucerne this Spring/Summer. Gonna put it an on a Taramps 3000 2 ohm. Should definitely be gettin rowdy.

@@2013HotNewMusic Well Said Davis, you can tell by the video Parker is going to be doing a lot more work on this build.

Would this sub require an aftermarket battery or can I just use my stick battery I don’t want my headlights dimming.
if you want to push 2000 watts you will need to run another battery preferably an AGM battery because of the current draws. you will have to get 2 AGM batteries, one for the engine and one for the system, 0 gauge wires, and big 3.
if you run stock the car can shut off while driving or idle, you can blow your alternator from too much draw or you could blow your amp because youre starving it or blow the sub because the amp sent a clipped signal when it was starve for power. hope this helps
Rowboyto Thank you sm this helped a lot. Now ik that I can’t be pushing 2000w Bc I’m not spending 400$ on two new batteries but I’ll find something else.

Q&A time just how much do you know about this subwoofer is the x-max just one way 30 mm???????
Yes xmax is 30mm according to Rockville
@@ParkerTheBasshead hey man I know that you say it's 30 mm I'm not questioning that part I am questioning rather if it is 30 mm and one direction or is that in both directions??? Some subwoofers can ReachOut 30 mm but they do not go in the opposite direction 30mm and then again some do that was the question is that in both directions or only one direction????
@@ParkerTheBasshead hey if it's only in one direction that's not as good as other subwoofers that will go 30 mm and go 30 mm in both directions that means it will reach out 30 mm and also return to pump air out of your ported box 30 mm so a big part of 30 mm out in one direction is great but it may not return that same 30mm
JD DD shoot! I misunderstood you first comment. It will go 30mm in and 30mm out so total xmax would be 60

Hey bro u said u wanna upgrade ur amp? I would try the power accoustic bamf 5000 series. The one with 5- 40 amp fuse. It makes at least 2000rms and it doesn't need as much power because it's a digital and I believe. They're cheap.

@@juliomendoza2013
A v12 1000? He needs something a bit bigger. I've had those 1000s and they are good for a 1000-1200 rms sub. It wouldn't have enough power for that destroyer sub.

I've been asked quite a few times about the comparison of this model against the Audiopipe BD412, it may offer a nice video for you if you choose to do so.
You need a better box. Using the same one for all subwoofers is useless. But I will give it to you, that box seems like it will do okay with any subwoofer. But it won't make any of them sound as good as they can sound.
I'm thinking about building a wall with 4 of these in my truck.
Do the EVL skar 12 or the Eatherquake dbi series it has 88 30mm of peak to peak linear excursion thats damn near 4" of p-p xmax
