Fun fact: poison actually can go away by its own but it take serially long and mostly not worth waiting for it going away by its own
Get the 2 doydoy together (just possible in night time) and breed them. Go to the volcano and offer their feathers to the altar in summer, so you have a few days of peace
after you do shipwrecked you gotta do hamlet. surviving on the pugalisk island, pinacle, permanent aporkalypse, gas rainforest, calendar island, mant hill. maybe make cave clefts or pig ruins work. hopefully theres a hamlet mod
The creators of Island Adventures are actually working on a Hamlet mod! Though it's in the VERY early stages right now. I think they just started importing crafting recipes, last I saw in the Discord?
Right now there's also technically Tropical Experience, but it's quite buggy. (Many post-rework character features are at least a little broken - there's also a good chance that you and the crashed balloon will spawn in the ocean, so you'll drown immediately + be unable to grab the starting machete.)

19:53 if people are questioning why there’s a seal leg on the ground, if you leave the proximity of the seal it disappears and drops the item you would’ve gotten. If they did kill the seal it would’ve spawned krampus.
Since you like the Slot Machine so much, you might enjoy the Casino Mode mod.
On top of allowing you to craft Slot Machines (Configurably, I think), it gives basically everything in the world a chance to drop Dubloons!
It's also entirely compatible with Island Adventures, so no worries there. If the crafting is not configurable and you don't like it, you could just not craft them and use the other mechanics of the mod.
I think if you cover a puddle with sandbags while it's still small, you can stop it from spreading.

Do note, in the volcano theres a altar of snackrafice, which will delay volcanic eruptions, and if you use it alot it can even stop the eruptions... also will you make a video about the uncompromising mod on normal dst?
Giving the volcano nitre is a bad idea. It really likes dubloons, orange soda, and the One Ring.
Uncompromising mode would be so cool! Please everyone suggest this(don’t spam ofc)
Your videos are better than 80% of other dst content ive seen, please make more videos like this they are a genuenly essential aspect of my day to day life now (also i hope you can get better equipment and stuff so you can make the best videos you can) love your content!

If you do more Shipwrecked you should make fish farms! Great source of food once you find the roe
Also there is a fish called a Purple Grouper I believe, that makes you and your boat immune to wetness from waves! Sound useful for any chicken kraken fights perhaps?
Also perhaps appease the volcano next time : P What a great ending

I dont know how. But ever since i saw that lunar island video. I got hooked on DST and binged all your videos. This one was a great surprise to see. Your content is great and i think the editing and humour is spot on. Maybe you’ll convince me to buy the game for myself!
(also i’d love to see different challenges that aren’t specified to a location. Such as banning certain items or ennemies. And so on. Congrats on 4k)
here's my (current) Island Adventures character tier list.
S:
Wurt: there is a lot of water in SW, Wurt doesn't care about it. doesn't die if boat breaks, basically gets a free telltale heart revive (you do loose max hp)
Walter: Slingshot is a easy anti monkey tool and can be used as a cheep 'hand cannon' on any ship. you also only loose boat durability when attacked on a boat, so sanity should be a bit better
A:
Wigfrid: Meats are plentiful, as you can farm them (fish farms), got combatant
Wormwood: worse Wurt interms of water ignoring, grows crops without using up hoes.
B:
Woodlegs: free boat, but loose sanity on land.
Wailani: has the worse free boat (but better than the yee a-- wood rafts), but is basically the basic character of SW.
C:
(Most other characters)
D:
WX: best dodge the water, has his upgrades though, so he's not terrible.
F:
Wes: obvious reasons.

The Island Adventures devs are actually working on a update that completely reworks flooding code, making it less buggy and act more like flooding in classic DS. This new flooding also makes spiderwebs look normal again.
That art should be in a museum.
It's so cool to see Shipwrecked in DST. I absolutely love Shipwrecked and it's aesthetic. I never completely understood the flack it recieved. I always had a stellar time playing it. I'll have to give it a go in DST! Great playthough and loved the picture storytelling haha!

There is a mod that gives each player a dubloom every day. Alternatively, seeing as it’s a “themed playthrough” there’s nothing wrong with spawning a dubloom each daily. Otherwise you’re just playing shipwrecked while basing on a small island…..

Oh yea, in the Volcano if it is like Shipwrecked there is the "Altar of Snackcrifice" you can put stuff in there to delay eruptions for up to 4 days. So if you are active on that, not a single explosion.

Hate gathering wood in shipwrecked? Make a couple pig houses, plant trees around them, and hire them to do the work for you.
They’ll even kill the snakes, and tank the damage from falling coconuts.
Shipwreck seasons always were deadly 💀
At solo I just use shipwreck worlds to collect resources and save them on main Rog world

If you do another shipwrecked challenge, then you should use the speargun. It's made with a live jellyfish and three bamboo and can shoot spears at things. It also can be loaded with venom spears to poison enemies at a distance.

@@AberrantKoala This would also be happening during bosses and stuff, so might be more difficult then it seems at first!
Would be too easy since there are too many ways to overcome a simple 3.33 sanity/min drain. Playing as Maxwell alone overcomes that drain. There's also tam o'shanter, cooked cactus flesh, glommer, Wurt fish sanity, numerous other methods, and also the fact that being insane is not a death sentence.

With the right provisions before going you can for a very long time on PS4, I survived on the slot island for just about a year in game with almost no struggles other than meteorites.

Parrots will drop doubloons on jungle turf, but you don’t have enough of it and what you do have doesn’t have much room for them to land. You should just cover the island with it. Also, if you entirely enclose a section of your base with sandbags and that section has all man made flooring, puddles cannot form there or seep in. You can get in and out by leaving an opening at the shore, provide you build the sandbag walls all the way down, then hop on a boat to exit.

The challenge was NOT to camp on the slot island. The challenge was to to THAT fight in dry season while the vulcano eruption.
I feel like next time you can just give yourself 1 gold per day you've survived then do them all at the end of a season or when you get board

If you did this challenge again, it'll be cool if your run finished if you didn't spin within a certain amount of time.

I'm not sure where you got that. There's no bug disabling tidal flooding, it never existed in the mod to begin with. It's a _very_ tricky thing to get right, especially with how much normal puddles in Monsoon Season lag. Imagine that, but on every edge of the entire world?
So, they haven't disabled it, the entire feature just hasn't been added yet.
Might've gotten mixed up with Arti saying our current flooding is buggy.

As a casino dealer the slot machine drains 5 sanity the first 12 pulls then 13-99 it does 5 times 0.4 so 2 then 4 then 6 then 8 etc up to 40 then 40 every time after 100
