- Here's an easy tutorial to shading in pixel art. Actually, this works outside of pixel art as well.
1. Have a random shape with a flat color (single color).
2. Create a layer for the shading and set it to "Multiply" and 50% opacity. Depends on how dark you want your shadows.
3. Draw the shadow area on the shading layer with a blue / violet color.
4. (optional) Merge the shading layer and the base layer to avoid drawing on the wrong layers.
5. Get a color between the shadow color and the flat color, by drawing on top of the flat color with around 50% brush opacity.
6. Fill in the areas with the lighter shadow color.
7. (optional) Add details.
8. (optional) Add a cast shadow.
9. (optional) Add outlines

Simple, useful and straight to the point. I'm new to Aseprite and currently practicing shading on textures so that helped me alot! Also, great job on the sprite too.
I am glad you like it!
What program are you using?
I’m using Aseprite
