- The global shortage of saline is simply because “we can’t manufacture enough”, says The Royal Australasian College of Physicians President Jennifer Martin.
“We can’t manufacture enough for our population,” she told Sky News Australia.
“So what we do is we import from overseas, and in the case of medications, it’s over 90 per cent of our medications are actually imported from overseas.”
