Want vintage rack-style atmospherics in a single pedal? The MXR Joshua Ambient Echo recreates those tones through a carefully honed recipe of tones and textures that combine to capture everything from tonal trips out of the ’60s and ’70s to the ethereal ambience of the ’80s and the ambience-infused soundscapes of the modern era.
Adjust tempo and subdivisions and blend in tones and textures from modulation, angelic organ-like effects, and more. It’s all dialed in and ready to go for casual tone tweakers to set as they please, but more advanced sonic seekers will be thrilled to engage with deeper functions such as stereo mode, off-board tap and expression functions, and a host of other customizable parameters.

This is exactly how gear announcement / demo videos should be. Sound, knob twiddle, repeat; cover ever control. Playing a whole ass solo for 45 seconds and not touching a single thing is not helpful! This is the platonic ideal of gear demo.
Dunlop's marketing team is *THE* best in the business. These videos are so enjoyable, you forget they're adverts.

Brilliant blend of analog & digital delay circuitry
Not really a blend though. It's a digital tribute to a digital era. 80s digital rack delays have their own character, which is not the same as tape or BBD. They weren't as sterile or dry as digital delay in the late 90s/early 00s. The multiple taps perform similarly to the multiple playback heads of some tape delays. The technology of the 80s had them resting in a nice place historically---cleaner than tape/BBD, but not overly pristine and glossy like later digital delays that lacked coloration and character.

Mr Jim Dunlop, I have to congratulate you and your team for the best videography for a guitar pedal that I have ever seen. Bam, just amazing. Then the pedal, Bam just amazing. I have different pedals that achieve the same thing.

We need a Harmonizer Pedal from MXR.
This is one of those "stomp boxes" that has to be demonstrated on a table where the player can easily reach all of the controls. Put it down on your pedal board, and you'd best pick one or two settings you like, unless you're okay with stopping to kneel down and twiddle with both hands. Sure, it's "vintage rack-style atmospherics in a single pedal" -- because it's got six knobs that all do two or three different things depending on what button you hold down! It's ridiculous. Also: I FRICKIN' WANT IT SO BADLY!!!

Is the input TRS stereo too? Or strictly mono?
Hello Dunlop, this new pedal should be very amazing ! But I see the input is not in stereo about the output. Because I use 2 amps in stereo and I would have delay pedal like the carbon copy but in full stereo (Input and output) to huge my tone ! I will hope you see my commentary and take care about that ^^ Thank you

Just got lost
Could have easily put the tap tempo switch on the pedal, like everyone else does these days. And put a second output jack on the pedal. But nooooooo, we'll make you buy another separate switch instead. And what if you want to put the stereo MXR reverb after the Joshua? Then you can't split the signal because the MXR M300 is TRS in. Whatever.
