      It's ok to lose, but a loser become a real loser when he/she quits ! :)

      Unfortunately her best chance was last game was against Linda. However, hopefully the pressure was lifted after that game. She played a WGM today and is gonna play another tomorrow. No shame in losing against players of that caliber. In fact, it’s expected. But I’m hoping she gets the win against Nemo tomorrow!

    Alex's form has been amazing recently. However, hearing her interviews, it feels like they won't be doing another tournament like this anytime soon, she's not even enjoying her wins.

      This game was mediocre. Played below her rating.

      Yes Alex' end game was not up to her usual dominance but Jules has played very tough and above her rating throughout the tournament and her 1.5 record is not indicative of how she has played.

    The right side is stronger in all 4 matchups imo.
    Alexandra's is closest.

    It has been an amazing week and I thank everyone for the exhibitions. These players have shown their evolution to powerful positions and then also devolve into a losing position due to the abandonment of representative heuristics, prototypical positions, into available heuristics. The availability of heuristics leaves players making shortcuts and mistakes that are often overlooked. Activation of a prototypical memory is the key to overcoming their time constraints, but chess positions can also be seen in very similar positions and thus experience is everything and I understand the need to camp!

    Nemo's playing worse as she gets healthier haha. Kinda crazy that she looks to rank 5th after likely being the only player to deny Jen a win. It's been a fantastic and interesting tournament. Everyone has done a lot to be proud of. Even Andrea - she's had some fantastic openings, just needs to work on the second half of her games ;) But Alex is probably the biggest surprise. Definitely looks underrated after this performance. Normally I'd expect Dina to crush her, but now I'm expecting a tough game tomorrow.

    Fun tournament! Just a fyi your producer / camerman needs to work on his camera awareness. He was constantly blocking the cameras of other players' streams. It was really irritating and pretty unprofessional. Other than that kudos!

    Next year, invite Anna-Maja and have Andrea do commentary instead. I'm sure both would be happier to switch places.

    hey, since folks are all in house. how about a round of drunk chess after the proper stuff. like, who can play straight after a few, okay many shots. use whisky and/or vodka and/or tequila to speed things up a little. why? for more crazy content of course. those that join drunk chess gets invited back for the next tourney with a bigger prize? papa botez is around so nothing can go wrong, no worries.

    it's crazy that an average female player can earn more than a top 100 men's player! That's just stupid. Jennifer has won 40k for beating a load of other average female players, Hammer, who has been top 20 in the world doesn't even get invited to the elite tournaments. If the situation were reversed, all the feminists would be crying about sexism!

      Complaining about people bringing more money and eyes to chess… Also this isn’t zero-sum game it’s not like the Botez’s holding a fun event like this is somehow hurting the men’s game. They’re just actively supporting women’s chess and trying to help boost the games popularity as a whole, which will help bring more money to men’s chess in the long run. Embarrassing comment bro.

    • @JezzBowden
      @JezzBowden Месяц назад +3

      @@FleaKobain It’s not brining it to chess, it’s bringing it to female only tournaments, which is asymmetric because they are much weaker. I don’t mind decent tournament earning, overall. I think it’s positive that people can earn a living from chess, like anything else, it’s just that almost no men can do this, and you don’t even need to reach IM level as a female to earn a living. They should really scrap female only tournaments, and just increase overall tournament prizes so that more people can earn money from tournament performances. The reason they don’t is because very few women, if any could compete.

      Like, how would that work? Why would anyone wanna invest more into men's game after seeing this tournament? 😲 It makes no sense. I think you should be reminded, like attracts like mate.
      Also, how about Botezs social media? Which for anyone with a brain watching those does appear to bring a once great game of chess into disrepute!
