I got one with a heavy Milwaukee 3 plane laser on it. It works great even with thr tripod
The Tripod legs do not have a way to lock them and it allows it to wobble. There should have been away to lock the legs in place when you have to use the tripod outside. I got this unit to use outside where you can not lock the top of the pole to the sky. This would also be the same indoor with a high ceiling. They did such a good job on the laser mount and should have done a better job on the tripod.
I think the tripod is for areas with no ceiling, or I use it to not Mar the ceiling
