    Rather than tilting the bottom half up as shown (to disconnect the cables), it's better to remove the screen at the hinges. Then you can lift the halves apart and have much more working room.
    By the way, don't just pull flat cables out -- the connectors have various types of clamps that should be unlatched first. There's a lot of clamping pressure; if you just pull you'll score the cable pads.

    good video but I have question why in the video car you only clean and put paster in middle why you dont clean also around the other chip having the video card

    Great video Im sure Im going to get some use out of it I just purchased one, and plan on upgrading a few things like the WiFi card etc. one question though do you have a video or idea of how to pull the back panel on the screen? I cant seem to find anything about it Id appreciate any information anyone may have about it

    "Repasting" (heat sink compound) is a bad idea. There will be nothing wrong with the "old" paste. Chances are you would get some minute dirt particles in with the new paste (unless you are working in a clean room, with a pristine laptop), and the extra thickness is very bad for heat conduction.

    Dear due to a maintenance the flat cable of the power button has been damaged.
    I am in contact with a supplier to purchase a new flat.

    I have the same question the others have. Why not put new thermal paste on the other contacts? Was it just a matter of saving time?

      Buerebista you can use compressed air or replace them with new ones.... they cost 20$

      Xanthro2 you cant cause its embedded into the morherboard... it is possible but with proper knowledge and equipment... my advice... get a new laptop

      Uhhhh, yes you can, and I already did it... This is not a shitbox "Integrated gpu". Want proof? Go to Ebay, type in nivida 670m and see there OFF THE MOBO for like 100-150$ apop.

    When i tried taking off the cable (9:00) the black connector thing came off with it. I can't see if that is supposed to happen from the video, it looks like he just nudges the black plastic connector off with the tweezers.

      Don't just pull flat cables out -- the connectors have various types of clamps that should be unlatched first. There's a lot of clamping pressure; if you just pull you'll score the cable pads (or worse).

    There are many cats in my house. I opened the cd drive once after never opening it and there was a ball of cat fur on the tray. I totally need to open mine, but I will just go as far as 8:30, blow a lot of air and close. This looks like a nightmare! I bet those copper tubes must be jammed with cat fur though... :( edit: ohh I think they aren't tubes, they are just for heat dispersing? That would be better.

      I removed tiny little resistors around the GPU core causing it to simply fu** all the computer 🤣

      @@arnoldgerardy5855 it is ! But i wouldn't have risked paying for nothing if the problem wasn't solved afterward, so i gave up.
      I recently traded my 5 years old desktop for a decent G551jm and i'm happy with it !
      But i am now scared to tear it down for a cleanup even if it would save me some cash. I don't feel secure doing the same error twice

    И ещё, можно ли в VW установить 670 видеокарту с VX?

      Насколько помню, различий не было. Видеокарту установить можно, только она должна быть от Asus с соответствующим биосом

      В чем проблема разобрать свой ноутбук и посмотреть какая у вас система охлаждения?
      Судя по фото, у видеокарт одинаковое расположение отверстий

      Yeah one of mine is on the fritz. It's not spinning properly and making a hell of a lot of noise. We're you able to replace yours?

      Keep in mind that the fan on the right (as you face the laptop during normal use) is for the GPU, and runs far less than the other one (CPUs). I.e., don't expect the both of them to be running.

      +boris1062 зависит от региона\города, уровня сервисного центра. Собственно стоимость услуг на российском рынке я не знаю, в киеве такая процедура обойдется порядка 16,5$

      This was definitely my first and last laptop. It is a nightmare not being able to clean it. The thing isn't even that portable to top it off (my fault choosing such a huge ass screen).

    why you use a brush? you dont know about a pressure air? why only change a thermal paste on video core? you think ram chips dont need this? and what paste you use?dont watch all video but i will be afraid to give you my pc. maybe do somethink else

      +Dmitri Tolbin i used brush because it more simple for viewer, not everyone can has compressed air. Thermal paste don't used on VRAM chips, because it won't work in that case, distance is too big. I recommend to use Zalman ZM-STG2.

      +How-FixIT use arctic mx-4 paste, in it no electrical condition materials, put more paste and all be ok ;) and pressure air now in all shops, cost 3-5 euro
