Congrats on finishing! I wanted to know what that black layer that you wore was. it looked versatile for both cold/winter/sun and looked like the hood was fitted. I'd like to look into that. . .thanks and congrats!
Outdoor Research Echo hoodie, black with blue highlights to start but wore through on the shoulders 2/3 of the way, then switched to a white one that I summited in. I highly recommend them.
I've immensely enjoyed your adventures on the AT - so much so that I took last week off work and hiked a few short sections in Maine and New Hampshire myself! Your advice makes perfect sense, especially when it comes to self-care, and it resonates even more based on your experiences on trail. Will we have the chance to follow you on the CDT for your triple crown?
I have plans to finish the Arizona Trail (Pine to Utah Border - stopped because of record snow last year) and the PCT in three sections (NorCal, Oregon, Washington). One thing I realized on this hike is I don't want to spend that much time away from my wife again :-)
Thanks for all the tips
Sound advice. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
