Whoooo against most odds, Unsainted is here. this was the hardest learning process I’ve had in years. I’m gonna def keep playing this one, I think I did a decent enough job but there’s still room for improvement. that intro seems simple enough but literally melted my right arm, I felt like I needed a miracle to finish it strong enough and still be able to pull off the first big fill of the song. altogether I was able to play this song about 3 times in a row before messing up every fill do to extreme exhaustion lol. But all that really means is that I need MORE practice.
Meanwhile IT’S MY BIRTHDAY and also happens to be my 5 year anniversary to my first original album, ALCHEMY. Funded by you on kickstarter and having a major life altering effect. had it not been successful I probably would have went to school to become a Veterinarian. the one thing I like more than drums is animals, but honestly seeing them in pain would have spiraled me out of control and I’m pretty sure I would have made for one terrible doctor.. so lucky for me and the pets of the word I was able to continue doing my thing.
I consider myself incredibly lucky to STILL have you guys around. After all these years. I’m so excited to see how many girls are now uploading videos and growing a following, when I first started out there were barely any. I’ve been getting some amazing messages telling me how following my path has been a source of inspiration, so you see YOUR support has had a ripple effect on the entire world. and that’s pretty damn cool to consider.

@@Popwarner-x1w Why do people judge genres of music like this? Anytime someone says they hate any particular genre of music, I just assume they are closed minded. Hating a whole genre just means you’re limiting the great music out there that could potentially move you or make you feel that “spiritual” awe that great music can make us feel. There’s PHENOMENAL Hip Hop out there. Illmatic by Nas is literally a PERFECT album, as is Daytona by Pusha T (IMO) and about 25 more. There’s nothing about Metal that makes it inherently better than Hip Hop or any other genre.

Wait, I guess there was a ton of effort in the years of practicing her craft in order to get this good. Meytal's practice routines (from what I remember of Maximum Meytal) are incredibly rigorous. Huge inspiration. Love the joy you radiate even while playing monstrously difficult parts!

1) The sound is indeed awesome.
2) Did you switch up your setup or am I imagining things? The tomes seem a bit further from you compared to how they usually are (and I have no idea how you're capable of playing the fills so quickly reaching out so far lol but your techinque has always been a bit of a mystery to me).
3) Would be totally happy to see more playthroughs off The WItness, I'm still listening to that album on a daily basis, and it's definitely up there among my absolute favorites of all time.
4) Your bright smile is exactly what we need in these dark times, it's always nice to see it and see you having fun doing what you love (: Happy Birthday Meytal!

I generally dislike covers where the artist just copies exactly the original track and doesn't add any of their personality to it. There's really no point in doing that other than just practicing on your own.

another amazing cover. I've been a die-hard slipknot fan since their beginning basically. I know many people will disagree with me but I think Unsainted and the We Are Not Your Kind album is definitely some of the best shit Slipknot has ever done. I love all of their albums tho
