First day we were fading with shears we couldn’t touch our clips until we could fade with shears all plug-in joints in tht caliber had nice power I started in03 aswell

Ive been telling you about the Super Taper or Taper 2000 for a while. That old shit works just as well if not better than the new shit.
Some of it does
From what I can see, the motor in that clipper is the V5000 Electromagnetic motor, same as the corded Super Taper. The corded Senior, Icon and Legend have a more powerful V9000, but that’s a pretty badass first clipper! Mine was not nearly as nice.

I mean I had the taper 2000s and these are pretty damn good they were really powerful and people dropped them all the time and they always works well afterwards so they could take a hit! And the blade was one of my favorites! It was just heavy and had a short cord was my only issue those ac trimmers were so bad for line ups tho hahaha

taper 2000 still in production .. outstanding strength.. but most barbers prefer the Cordless freedom.

Yessah!!!! Taper 2000 with AC trimmer. These are the same clippers I mentioned when Rum Barber asked “ what was your first clippers” and came out with the #firstclipperchallenge . I believe I still have them in my closet somewhere . I’m sure the blades needs to be replaced but I still do have them. Awesome challenge. I hope more barbers participate. 🙏🏽🙌🏽🤙🏾💈

@@BigAlsShoppableReviews So are the legends like the Wahl Magic Clips & Seniors? I currently have the Taper 2000, Andis MBA Select Cut 21455 & Some cordless Ceenwes which are similar to Surker & Limural clippers.
I plan to Zero Gap the Andis MBA which has a Steel blade, guess some came with Ceramic ones. The Wahl Taper 2000 I got second hand & it worked for a while but now pulls hair, I did zero gap them but that didn't help.
I was thinking about trying to sharpen the blades but I am thinking a better blade swap might do the trick, do you have a blade suggestion?
Also I recently purchased the Andis Slimline Pro Li got a great deal as it was only $40 ish shipped new. I also purchased the Philips Norelco 7000 multigroom for my beard on fb marketplace for $30, then I purchased the Philip's 7000/7500 Cordless Electric Shaver w/cleaning pod Gently used for $30 on FB too but I might try flipping em for more on ebay as person paid $200 at bed, bath & beyond.
Good thing is the Andis MBA & WAhl Taper 2000 were both free & Cordless Gold Ceenwes with Adj lever only $16 😂 I haven't had my beard or hair cut in 6 months now & I am rough. Maybe I should make a video showing off products. Guess I am having some OCD watching videos & reading reviews for just cutting hair at home 😂 lol O yeah I also have the Wahl Mini Pro corded that I used to use for trimming hair and beard, etc. That was only $15 & surprising works very well.
I do have some cheaper Visage trimmers that I got at Aldi but they are pretty much junk & I just usually use them to trim below the Belt line aka Junk as they won't Nick the Olde Coin Purse/Jewels. But I may still buy the Philips Bodygroom 7000 as I heard great things about it.
I was still thinking about getting the Wahl Detailer and or Peanut but maybe I already have enough lol. Do you think my setup is good now just for home use & learning? It would be for me & 3 boys. I even have one of those cheap $10 Ceenwes Ceramic clippers that got decent reviews. Wife & kids are now telling me I am crazy. Wife says just go to the barber & pay $20 lol 😂

I just enrolled in cosmo too there’s no nearby barber schools :( what should I do what did u do after cosmo school.
Get job . Start thinking of what shop your gonna work . Once you get haircutting experience go ask for weekend job . Ask to work on Saturday or Sundays to get experience behind the chair .

The machine is good the trimmer is not very good. Perfect for home self use. But for professional its not tgat great. Although the machine it's self is good I used it many times. It's great kit if your learning and can't spend alot . It's better than any Walmart machine .

Taper 2000 was my first machine over 31 years ago so its Bern around for a while
@Tu Mundo Androide Mania as a hairdresser it worked for me for many years but I struggled with fades. It didn't cut short zero & I also didn't know what else to buy so I kept using this set.
