Timeless record
This song is straight out of The Bible. The Jewish people had been carried away into captivity by Babylon. The Babylonians tried to get them to assimilate into their culture, even allowing them to some degree to continue their worship of Jehovah. They tried to encourage them to sing their songs of worship to God, but the response of the Jews was to weep as they remembered their home contry refered to as Zion. And the sad lament..."how shall we simg The Lord's song in a strange land?"
