Yes we will and thank you for continuing to watch!
In order to use your phones here in Philippines make sure it is unlock, if I am not mistaken t mobile phones are lock, with unlock phones you can use them all around the world. Or you can use esims which are virtual Sim cards
We use our T-Mobile service and phones just about anywhere in the PI. We bought phones when we returned to the PI to use locally for Grab and Gcash.
I have been here for 3 year and have been using my phone I purchase in Guam and used it here in Philippines and state side, europe without having to purchase any phones here Un philippines or state side or Europe, if you use t mobile here your bill must be expensive.
If your phone is paid off, they will automatically unlock it.
Thank you!
@@kiku671i phones and galaxy phones are usually good to go as i also came from Guam
Pets need a certain amount on time for medical and shots, not too far out and not too soon
WOW!! All that planning and anticipation coming to reality.
I hope it all goes better than planned and you two just love it, congratulations guys!! So excited for y’all.

How exciting but lots to think about and do.
Absolutely!
Good luck Scott, your real knowledge of living in the phillipines will come after 2 Year's,3years and you'll know it all,4 year's maybe you'll want us back.youll find out.
I learn a little more each visit and you never know what the future may hold.
Great Video. New Subscribers from Australia here
Thanks and welcome! We're happy you found us.
I love your intro music
Thanks!
Good video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi Steve 👋
It's nearly 2 years we been here in Philippines. We just bought a sim card and load it when we want or monthly for 300 pesos with data .. it works .. but our overseas phone we are planning to end it soon coz we never use .❤
We will probably end up doing the same. Thanks for watching!
Hello Scott & Cecile! Been waiting patiently for your video; understand the MOVE is quite an undertaking and involves a lot of planning and preparation. Are you dropping pounds Scott, maybe good editing? Hahahahahaha! Never be so trusting, caution and patience goes a long way. I can see that you're both good God-fearing people. How's Liam, didn't see him in the video? I agree with you on keeping your bank accounts in the U.S. The credit cards should only require a change of address while retaining the accounts with the same card numbers. Good luck on your transition and move to the Philippines. Stay healthy and safe!
Thank you! Liam is doing very well. We appreciate the comment!
Forget about getting mail here in the Philippines!!😂 I’m still waiting for my Christmas cards from my family they mailed back last December!!🤣
Yes I know the mail system is a real concern there. Hope you get those cards!
We started selling stuff like 8 months before we left US, that worked out well for us, We donated clothes and things we didn't want any more. We shipped a lot of stuff Balikbayan as well. Good luck on the eventual move
Thank you! Been catching a few of your Japan videos. We hope to travel there one day also. Take care!
@@Marker44 Thanks 4 watching!
Re TV. It used to be more expensive in the Philippines. Not anymore. In the US, you can get the Samsung The Frame 65” without bezel for $1,499. The same size tv with bezel retails for Php 76,000 ($1,300) in the Philippines.
Good to know Tony. Thank you!
Great news with everything. Carvana is a good choice to sell your car they pay good. I have a 2021 Highlander not even paid off yet and they want to give enough to pay off loan and also keep 10k still owe 2 years on it. Not bad. And the dealerships won’t give anything. Wife was wondering were you got the laundry basket on wheels she likes it thanks take care! Forgot we got a P.O. Box at the post office when we went to Cebu for 6 months maybe have family check on it every few weeks!
The laundry basket came from Amazon and we really like it also.
Been following your channel for awhile now Scott and Cecile. We are currently in New Zealand although our home is in provincial Cebu where we both resided for several years. We came back here in 2015 and our plan is to return permanently to Cebu in 18 months from now. One thing we found since leaving our home (been back a few times) is the termites have destroyed some of our furniture, which we are in the process of replacing for our return. There is available a hard wood which you can have furniture made from which the termites cannot destroy FYI? We have friends who took their small pooch, (something like yours) when they went back to Ca, they had their fur baby in the aircraft cabin with them for the flight in a travel pouch type of thing. Hope this helps guys. Regards, Bob and Lina.
Yes we plan to take Chanel in a travel crate that goes near our feet in the cabin. I think she will do fine. We had in issue with termites in our dirty kitchen last year. Had an exterminator come out and treat the whole property. Wiped them out right away and no more ants! We will continue to have him come out and inspect or treat our place in the future.
@@Marker44 The hardwood timber furniture is Molave, Lina tells me.
When I left Canada for Thailand years ago my bank allows the non-resident account along with debit and credit cards. The mail new cards directly to my home but it always takes about a month.
Thanks for the information!
Yes the bank will send you replacement credit cards to the Philippines prior to expiry, as we had this service from our NZ Bank when we were in Cebu. I guess its the same for all countries. Bob.
Thanks for the input! We appreciate it.
Hello Scott and Cecille. Congratulations on your recent decision to make the move full time to the PI. I don’t recall if you posted any content on healthcare options for you and family but what options, if any, are you going to take for your healthcare needs. Thanks!
One thing we have done is bought a share in a new hospital being constructed in our city. This will give us big discounts on many procedures and free private rooms up to a certain number of days. We will also look into purchasing a health insurance policy.
This company handles all the pet requirements needed. Across the pond they do international pet travel
We may look into that option.
I am over here in Yukon Oklahoma. I am getting ready to put the house on the market next week. Then go to Galveston Texas for a few months then on to The Philippines.
We hope everything goes just as planned. Good luck and safe travels!
They make you jump through hoops for the dog but they let the dogs run wild here. 😂😂
Funny how that works!
I was in Guam, but balikbayan boxes large 3'X 3' were only $80 a box by LBC
Not a bad deal.
Great channel. We've been watching regular. Was wondering what will you do for a USA physical address not just a mailing address?? Reason I'm asking is several foreigners have USA investments, brokers, mutual funds that require a USA physical address. If no USA physical address can no longer use USA investment accounts the same.
We will likely close any US investment accounts that we have before moving. Also we are looking into a mail service that provides a street address, receives, and forwards our mail as needed.
I've had good luck with traveling mailbox.
Will check it out thanks!
So how much did you spend on building the house and renovations? I am looking to build.
We are somewhere just under 8 million php for the purchase and renovation. We did not build.
The things that you want to keep you might want to think about how much it costs to send it over to the Philippines compared to how much it costs to buy them there in the Philippines. Also if you could sell it you could add that to the cost of buying there and cutting down on the shipping cost. Have you checked with the airlines that you want to fly with if they allow pets and if they do can you keep your dog in the cabin with you. I know that when I took my dog to the Philippines that they had restrictions on different breeds because some dogs don't have as good of an ability to pant to cool themselves down because they probably had dogs die going to the Philippines since those dogs couldn't cool themselves down. So please check with the airlines and ask your vet about if your dog has a good ability to cool itself down. Usually dogs with flat snots are those who can't cool down and I know there are companies who will take care of the paperwork, flying your pet to the Philippines and delivery your dog to your house in the Philippines. I know that it's not cheap but sometimes there's no choice on bringing your dog to the Philippines. With me I had a medium sized dog and she was in a kennel made for transportation on a plane and she was put in the luggage area which was temperature controlled. Again check with the airlines and there might be some that don't allow pets. Best to check on that now while you have a chance before you book your flight. I did this back in 2019 so I'm sure things have changed. Also make sure that you have all the correct paperwork so that you don't have to go back twice like I did. You can also watch RUclips videos to get up to date information about bringing a pet into the Philippines and possibly what airlines allow pets. When I brought my dog it was on PAL. One other thing DO NOT put your dog in the overhead luggage area because I either read or saw a video of where a lady and her children had a small dog and they were told to put it i the overhead luggage area and it died from not being able to breathe. Sorry for such a long comment but I am just trying to help with what I remember doing back in 2019.
Thanks for the advice!
Shipped 2 cats from Japan to PI. The online BAI system is unforgiving and you need to pay attention,to online submission dates, vaccination dates and keeping with the flight dates. Very stressful as it’s done on a strict timeline and if anything is wrong or missing it is extremely difficult to speak with anyone in the BAI and they are not flexible. We almost got screwed for a missing deworming certificate. Never required for pet travel to US, Germany or Japan but required there. Good luck!
We're sure hoping it all goes well. Hope youre cats are safe and sound.
Hello. New subscriber here. Can you tell us who shipped your TV console? Just looking for a good balikbayan company to ship our oversized furnitures. Thanks!
That was sent thru Atlas balikbayan box shipping service
Oh Wow !Please let me know how to process to bring the dog ,And how much ? thank you .
We will be sure to share that.
I hear T-Mobile with an international plan is the best you can do to get bank codes, still $50 a month I hear
Thanks for the info!
Hey guys, as far as your cell phone service goes, you need to keep an American phone number that is attached to your American banks. No matter what else you do. Make sure you keep an American phone number that is attached to your American banks. Otherwise you’re going to have problems getting money From Social Security from retirement investments, and whatever else you have…
As for mail service, you want to keep an American address, even if it is that UPS or USPS. These two things are going to help you avoid financial problems in the future. When you move to the Philippines, I am moving to the Philippines in the near future, and I have a whole list of things that I plan to do but those two are at the top of my list , Andrew, Nashville Tennessee
Thanks for the good advice Andrew! Much appreciated.
Hi Scott, Your Chanel is bradycephalic so she can't ride in the cargo area of the plane. We am in the same situation I have 2 french bulldogs, Chanel & Louis, And I am researching how to get them over there. Not bring ing them is not an option. Most airlines won't ;let dogs travel in the cabin unless they are service dogs. Just a heads up and lmk what You figure out, Thanks
So far we have found Korean airlines will accept Shih Tzu in the cabin. We bought her a carrier and trying to get her used to being in it. Good luck to you and your dogs!
Hi Scott, Really like your videos. I watch several youtube channels. Here and almost all recommend keeping a US phonne number for dealing with banks. Tmobile will charge .25 cents per minute from the philippines. On top of your monthly service fee. We also will be returning to the philippines next year. We have a large dog coming with us and would really appreciate any info on the process involved. Keep up the good work, best to you and your family hope you have safe and smooth relocation. Best Regards, John
Glad youre enjoying the videos John! We will certainly share all that we learn about our experience bringing Chanel over to the Philippines. Good luck with your pet and hope all goes well for you too.
Where in the Philippines? I am in Naga City, Camarines Sur
Balanga, Bataan
Hi Cecile and Scott if you need an architech me i recommend my son mheljune Reyes to do your house 🏠 renovation
Great! He can email us at Marker44k@gmail.com
I am sending about 8 or 9 balikbayan boxes and also my 75'' TV, they are expensive in the Philippines. I am bringing 2 dogs, can't replace them. I used Air Animal for their health certificates. Still trying to figure out how to get their import license without a Filipino address, may have to use my hotels address. I have also bought a backup laptop and iPhone. I will use one for my American number and one for my Filipino number. I have also bought lots of clothes, I'm a double XX, and food that is hard or expensive to get. I made the mistake of telling my bank (Charles Schwab) that I was moving to the Philippines and they told me that even if I used my brothers address, that I could not have and account with them, I said using my brothers address should not be illegal and would do that. I received and email an hour later telling my my account was closed. That hurt and I had to open a Wells Fargo account and transfer everything over to that. No matter how much you plan and prepare, you are always going to miss something, but that is part of the adventure. Good luck on your move and hope you enjoy the Philippines.
Not sure if we will keep our Schwab accounts also. May end up using one of those mail service companies to maintain a US address which would work for those cards.
@@Marker44 Whatever you do, don't tell them you are living in the Philippines.
Oh wow!! You guys actually made the decision to go back in Philippines. Yes, finally I’m leaving this coming Friday to go back home for good. I got rid of my car, tools, etc. only keeping my BANK account here in Arizona . Good luck to you guys & hope to meet you all there in Mabalacat area. Take care guys🇺🇸🇵🇭
Have a safe trip! Good luck to you!
@@Marker44 thank you Scott. I can’t wait.🇺🇸🇵🇭
Are you not scared someone will squat in your house when your gone.
No we have security cameras, good neighbors, and family that check on the house weekly.
Can you tell me what the best way to send stuff to my Filipina girlfriend ? Thank you
Balikbayan box service, hands down the best way to ship to the Philippines.
@@Marker44 Is that place here in California ??

We will continue our youtube channel in the Philippines. Thanks for watching.
I haven't had a problem getting mail from my US Bank......ofcourse I gave them my Philippines address as my main mailing address...and just got a new credit and debit card last week.....lol I've tried getting my direct deposit switched over, but BDO seemed to have issues receiving it.....I am not married yet( will be in June) so once I get my marriage certificate from PSA here...I'll try different banks to see if I have better luck...lol would kind of like not getting raped on overseas transactions....lol
Thanks for the information! Take care
