    I don't think people will appreciate this lesson enough. What a fantastic teaching this is. I have for so long been trying to get this sort of teaching and here it is. I have thoroughly enjoyed this. May God bless all who studied this also kept a journal whilst learning. Thank you LORD.

    Job has been the most difficult book to study for me so far. I'm glad I've been able to reach the final chapters after a lot of anger, tears, confusion and frustration because I felt I relate to Job🤦‍♀️ Thank you God for taking me through this beautiful study. Amen

    Thank you so much. I've been reading Job and found verses that Job spoke which made me remember the same feelings that I have felt. It hurt me cuz I thought that God was humiliating him and was afraid to read Job. I closed the book and cried, didn't think I would understand God's purpose and it hurt so much to read. Now I understand that God didn't mean it that way. It's my favorite book now.

    Do I dare say this teaching is my favorite? After every book I say the same. If there was a book that could relate to a christian walk more clearly would be this one. Not every one starts off with a blessed life but there certainly comes a point in our lives where we see ourselves better than before , and we are thankful so we start going to church and honoring The Lord. Than some bad news, loss or sickness comes to our lives and we question God and blame him for our failures. We can be mad at him or decide to turn from him for a while until we realize we can’t keep on life with out him. We surrender and give ourselves to him this time WHOLEHEARTEDLY, not just the surface as before (not jobs case) than God begins to fill us with His presence and speak to us , and we begin to understand, His knowledge and Wisdom is Unimaginable, we repent and realize we’re just dust. And begin doing what He tells us is good for us like love, giving, praying FORGIVING, as His spirit leads us. Forgiveness of those who have hurt used and mistreated us, is actually a blessing that God gives us and it may not be physically, but Spiritually it has been the most fulfilling blessing I have ever received. Thank you Jesus! Thank you pastor Paul.

    13:13 topic of God rebuking people for their pride- would be good to expound on this more because this is touches a massive population of people. It also helps deal with the word of faith movement.
    It’s such a nuanced doctrine would love to hear more about it.

    8 But it is the spirit in a person,

    The whole of God’s Word gives great understanding. I have studied these passages in light of salvation based on works, man’s righteousness and salvation based on righteousness based on Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, the payment for my sin. Is Job righteous in his own righteousness or will he see God based on the salvation of Jesus Christ, born of substitution for me and grace?

    • @martasilva7462
      @martasilva7462 Год назад +1

      Job still sinned. But in the OT it was all about works. How were they saved? I don't know specifically, but I believed it was in their faith in God. Job probably didn't know about Jesus coming, he didn't even had prophecies back then. He just had faith in God. This is one of those things we don't understand, but have to trust God

  • @jerseygirl4917

    Job continued to be unselfish even before God restored his possessions, by praying and asking God to forgive his friends who had been so cruel to him.

    Could this creature be in the second heaven? In the place where satan and the principalities are located. Where only God can fight spitual warfare? To me it seem that we are bing told that there are unseen powers that we cannot fight. That only God can and if we pray he will battle for us in the place where spiritual battles are fought. We must pray that God will fight for us. Keep praying and believing. Thank you Pastor Paul for all you do to help us understand. I am understanding so much that I did not understand before. God is in charge. He has a plan. We must have faith and believe that he knows all.

    Ch.38 v 19&24 about light and what you were saying about it, made me think! God is light! Perhaps that's why we still cannot explain its origins or it's speed? Verse 3 of Genesis 1 is the first day of creation, Let there be light... The sun and moon weren't created till day 4!

    God is omniscient. He knew Job's heart. He knew Job would not curse Him, so why did He accept Satan's challenge? Why did He have to prove anything to Satan in the first place? You mentioned in the last sermon we don't see the whole picture so we don't understand why God does what He does. His ways are not our ways. His thoughts are not our thoughts. So why did God allow all of this to happen to Job? What was His purpose? And where was His compassion for Job in His answer, considering all this poor man had lost and was going through? Did Job deserve what happened to him? Was God just in what He allowed Satan to do? Was it fair? I wish someone could answer those questions. I struggle a great deal with suffering and trying to understand where God is in the midst of it. My faith is hanging by a thread.

    • @samuelross9884
      @samuelross9884 2 года назад +5

      Faith by definition, begins where understanding ends. Your urge to 'understand' cannot be the foundation of your faith. You must first understand that God is bigger than you are, that his thinking is not your thinking.

    • @odonnelldenise
      @odonnelldenise 2 года назад +1

      This story I believe, like the story of Jesus, is the story where no worse sufferring can possibly befall a man, and yet -God. The point being, no one of us will ever suffer as Job has suffered, and yet, in the face of neglect, betrayal, pain, sorrow, endless misery, and more, we are still better off to choose life; to choose humility, to choose forgiveness. To choose suicide is Satans wish. To choose God, is the only way there is yet a possibility of hope in our own life, and in this world. Hold on, because your suffereing may yet lead to the good life.

    • @mlady8137
