I think it’s more about the harsh lines that don’t really fit the very blended less theatrical makeup styles of gen z. Cat eyes still v popular just with pencil or eyeshadow. But I think cancelled is a harsh term for liquid eyeliner
I beg to differ. Gen Z started to experiment with beauty procedures so young as well as injectables such as Botox and fillers (Gen Alpha is on the same path BTW. Shout out to the bratty Sephora kids lol), as a result, a lot of Gen Z'ers look much older than us millennial counterparts. Although I do have respect for this generation for being so bold and daring, but I drew the line when I saw some videos about Gen z'ers saying pearl necklaces are out, stating "it ages the wearer or it's outdated or old lady jewelry". I've always been a firm believer that classics NEVER die. I mean sure one could wear variants or alternatives to an original design but classics are timeless.
Neither of the socks were invented by gen z. Let's be honest, nothing in fashion right now was invented by gen z. In 80s we wore long socks and gen z were not even a fetus beck then. 😒
This is so funny to me because as Gen X, I remember making fun of high-waisted jeans not long ago, calling them “mom” jeans. They were in fashion when I was young but then became uncool quickly. It’s funny how everything comes back around eventually. For now, I will stick with my midrise straight leg jeans and ankle socks 🧦 😊
I think people are wearing mid rise, not low rise or at least 2000s low rise. Also I’m not taking advice from someone who hasn’t lived through multiple trend cycles. But I do see lots of high rise pants still available! So I think we have more options now, which is nice. The super fast fashion places are doing all low rise but brands like Levi’s and stuff still offer every rise
Idk, I prefer gel eyeliner with an angled brush. Looks the same but you don’t have to worry about transfer and stuff. I still can use liquid liner but I’ll only use it if I don’t have an equivalent gel liner.
Gen Z cancels liquid eyeliner? Skill issue.

Socially conscious, but not socially conscious enough to boycott Shein and other fast fashion 🙄

as a millennial, i have always seen pearls as grandma jewellery

Zoomers need to analyze our socks to tell if we're older than them. 😂 Either we're aging really well, or they're aging really poorly.
They are definitely aging poorly. I can barely tell they are younger. Only when they open their mouths.
don’t need to “analyze” it’s outdated and easy to notice. But won’t lie the amount of work being done on gen z is crazy
Meanwhile, everyone in a nursing home wears high socks. So on trend!
@@stuartist it is bc only millennials see it that way and are extremely dramatic about it
@@foreverluvingyou What are you even talking about?

I'm with you Gen X sister! 🧦

Gen Z has bad taste, you can't change my mind lol. They love gaudy, cheap stuff.
These people shit talking high waisted jeans aren’t fat and it shows.
As an elder millennial who stands for many hours a day, forget skinny jeans, compression socks are coming for us all one day
Bootcut jeans 👖 always fit my thighs and hips since i was a teen.
justice for kate moss, by skinny brits mean healthy
Skinny jeans were meant for curvy women. Skinny women thought it was cute and took over. 😂
That makes no sense to me. They feel horrible and overly tight.
I remember being in elementary and middle school and if your socks went even half an inch past your ankle bone you were being made fun of for it.
Defo not correct with the ankle socks. All the kids in my town wear ankle socks with their jeans, birks, and leggings.

🧦🤍
As a genz I don't wear liquid eyeliner.
