    I simply removed 1 adjusting nut. Perfect and drop safe.

    As long as the T/C compass is on the first or second safety it wont fire if dropped. I don't have an issue with that.

    Anyone considering buying these springs I HIGHLY recommend them. I made a video below where I tested them out in all of my Thompson Center varieties....308, 270, and 22-250. Basically cut my trigger pulls by around 3 lbs and in one case slightly more! For the price its a no brainer.....I will be doing more testings in the future but so far so very good.

    Can the spring be used on all calibers like 308 ,6.5 creedmoor and 300wm?

    • @oldbeavergunsmith5313
      @oldbeavergunsmith5313  6 лет назад +3

      Yes, there is no difference for using any other calibers, but the trigger system is exactly the same on all T/C Compass

    I don't believe that trigger pull guage was being used correctly.

      Lol and how should it be used?

      Well, most TC compass rifles come from the factory around 6 pounds.

    Did it pass the drop test?

      I bumped it in various areas and sides of the gun and everything went fine, but I didn't throw it. Too sorrowful for it.

      Put the safety in fire position and drop it on the recoil pad from about 3ft. I bet you’re trigger goes off.

      @pball98 5 лет назад +2

      No matter how soft a spring you put in, with the safety on it won’t go off, the trigger is disengaged. It will go off if you drop it while the safety is off though

    Just don't be trekking around with a rifle like this. If it were this simple AND safe, T/C would do it for us as part of their recall. Fact is, it isn't safe for applications like hunting. Now, bench rest/ target shooting where you're in a controlled environment (Minimal risk tripping and dropping it)... it would be okay. Just be VERY careful and follow the 4 rules of firearm safety.

      It doesn't fail when in either of the two saftey modes. Your safety shouldn't come off until you're ready to shoot. Plenty safe for hunting IMO.

    Just ordered this from you and will be installing on my TC Compass in 6.5 CM.

      The new spring is installed, from what I can tell trigger pull is about half what it was before. Easy install and a noticeable difference.
      I like that I didn’t have to tinker with the jam nuts, install this spring and put the rifle back together. From tear down to reassembly and function testing it took maybe 10 minutes.
      I’m just starting out in local PR matches and want to see how far I can push this cheap rifle with a good optic and hand loads. It will also serve double duty as my new deer rifle.
      Thank you 👍🏻

    How about some narration next time?
    You can also adjust the trigger without buying a $10.00 spring.

      Hangfire-13
      I can read so the lack of narration didn’t stop me from buying this.
      The t/c compass trigger can be adjusted although from the videos I’ve seen it takes a thinner jam nut or requires material to be removed from the OE jam nut to get a barely noticeable difference in trigger pull.
      With this if I decide I want to go back to the original pull weight all I have to do is drive out a roll pin and reinstall the original spring.
      This is a decent part and for just $10 it’s an easy decision. No fiddling with two jam nuts and no need to borrow the wife’s fingernail polish.
