Does this Anschütz put an indent at 12 o'clock on the chamber mouth when dry fired like later Anschütz do? Eg needs to have a dummy round when dry firing to prevent that damage?

I just had my early 70’s match 64 bolt apart and I was considering getting a new firing pin. Then I noticed that the new and the old part is different and there is grinding required. This grinding makes me a bit nervous. What’s the recourse if I grind too much off?
