Which Places would you like to visit in Washington State, USA? 😍 Let's get 1000 likes on this video guys! Also, let us know which state would you like us to cover next?
One must learn how to pronounce certain words before attempting to do a travel video. Video was fine, but such words like Leavenworth, San Juan, Puget were mispronounced. Good thing the views in the video was better than the speaking parts.
As mentioned here in previous comments, I wish the folks who make these list videos would do some research on pronunciations before recording their audio. As well as Puget Sound (Pew-jet), Leavenworth (Leven-worth), Rainier (Rain-eer), San Juan (San wawn...c'mon...it's Spanish) and Stehekin (Steh-heek-in)...there're a number of names derived from Native words and names. Like Puyallup (poo-ee-al-up). I can deal with the British presenter style rise and fall of pitch, but the mispronunciations are just maddening.
This video is fantastic! The visuals and tips are so helpful for planning a trip to Washington. I’m curious, which of these places would you recommend for a first-time visitor?
Just get out of the cities and you find beauty everywhere. But the trip across North Cascades is gorgeous! I love Washington. Lived here all my life of 70 years. The eastern side is desert until you reach way east .The climate is more severe in eastern Washington ❤
If you are a tourist that likes cruises where everything is scheduled and commercialized with crowds this is a great list. Johnston Ridge is closed for another year. The road washed out last winter. North Cascades is great but the fish and wildlife just installed grizzly bears in the region against the will of washingtonians. If you like the outdoors, stay away from the trailheads that commonly show up online, parking lots are full with people everywhere. Goat Rocks are worth the hassle of getting there early to get parking if hiking is your thing. I could go on......
Your list is good and you have decent detail but it is doubtful you have ever been anywhere near here. Thank god you did not try to pronounce Puyallup. 😂
You mispronounced almost every place you mentioned in this video… I think you should do a bit more research in the correct pronunciation of the places you talk about.
You missed the whole Eastern side of the state what about Spokane and other small towns yeah you got Leavenworth but that's about it you're missing a lot more culture on the Eastern side
I believe it was a text to speech generator, so it will mispronounce everything that isn't "standard." Also they chose a speaker from the British Commonwealth so glacier will be pronounced glassier. Not a good call, but it's the new way to make content.
This video is ridiculous. So many cities and areas are pronounced wrong making it so distracting for people from Washington. It's disrespectful on the cities and areas. All you need to do is type in the city in Google and it will tell you how to pronounce it. C’mon!
As Seattle natives...this hurt. Literally every location is pronounced wrong ... Nice footage but after the narration I assume it's all stock.?? Did make us miss home though.
@@Farhan-jsj they are honestly very similar - You will find all the sports and adventure activities you could possibly want in both places and both offer breathtaking natural sites. I can't speak to the public transport in Canada though as I'm not all that familiar. Seattle has great transportation choices in the city and from the city you can take busses to just about anywhere you want to go, even up to the mountains. There are good local transportation apps and even Google maps can help you find the correct bus routes and schedules. The "orca" system is a way you can prepay for a card and use it for ferry's, busses and light rail.
@@Farhan-jsj I think as far as sports & nature they are very similar, both absolutely incredible. As far as public transportation I can only speak with experience on Washington - getting around Seattle is easy, lots of choices and you can buy an "Orca" system pass that is a refillable card that works on almost everything including the ferries. Theres easy access to busses that can take you just about anywhere you want to go, even up to the mountains. You can use Google maps to find what busses to take, and the app "one bus away" tells you pretty accurately when they arrive at what stop. If you ski - Definitely try to get to Crystal mountain if there's good snow at the time. Mount Rainier and surrounding areas are amazing for hiking. Hit us up if you go and we'd be happy to suggest places to stay and sites to see and great places to eat.
I wonder why people who do these vids. don't at least do a little research on the correct pronunciation of place names, rather than insult the inhabitances' of said places ????
I don't know who this guy is that's telling us viewers which is all the best places to be here in Washington state. Dude, you need to pronounce the words correctly. Pudget sound doesn't have the the letters that sound like get. San Juan Island isn't pronounced like the way you say it. And it's not hard wherever you're from to say them correctly.
Wow. I lost count of how many things you mispronounced in this video. Here's just a few... Puget, Methow, San Juan, Rainier, Leavenworth. The content itself is accurate enough, but it's obvious no effort was given to saying the names of these places properly. It was almost funny. Was it even a human voice? It may have been some computer app.
Do some basic research on pronunciation before you start reading the script. Pew-jet, no poo-get. Lev-en-worth, not leave-en-worth. Rain-ear, Not rain-ee-aye. San Won, not San Jew-ann. You should also learn the American pronunciation of hurricane and glacier. How could you butcher so many well known names so badly? I gave the video a thumbs down for lack of effort.
Pew-jet Sound, Mount Rain-eer, San-wahn Island. If you are goig to do travel videos you really should do some research on pronounciation. It makes you look foolish and ameteurish getting every other name completely wrong.

Stop saying Puget Sound incorrectly!

Just about everything he said was pronounced wrong. You'd think they would research that.
It's "Levenworth" as in "ELEVEN" :)
P'Ewe JET not poo-get... and Marymere falls was actually Sol Duc falls in case out of state visitors watch this and get confused.

Sounds like British English.
I agree
No crap. Like saying Ore-E-Gone. We just call it the sound anyway.
I love poo get sound 😢😢

This state is very charming in nature.

Not an American… that was a British accent
Good video, but you pronounced several places incorrectly including puget sound, Leavenworth, Chelan, and San Juan…
I was born in Washington State.
Oh wow! This guy mispronounced almost every place. How can you recommend any place if you can’t even say the name correctly?
PEW-JET is how it's pronounced. And LEVV-ENN-WORTH, not LEEE-ven-worth
Oh, lord. And not RAY-NEE-AY! RAY-NEER! Not SAN-JEW-ANN, it's San-WAN!
Your list is good and you have decent detail but it is doubtful you have ever been anywhere near here. Thank god you did not try to pronounce Puyallup. 😂

☺
Perhaps when talking about areas maybe you could enquire of the proper pronunciation of areas it was painful to listen to, but lovely pictures
Would be. nice if the programer learned the correct way of saying the names of places and then key it in correctly. Do better, please.
You missed the whole Eastern side of the state what about Spokane and other small towns yeah you got Leavenworth but that's about it you're missing a lot more culture on the Eastern side
Hearing Puget Sound being pronounced POO-GET SOUND was so infuriating. It’s pronounced PEW-JET SOUND
Ok, I gotta know. Did the author of this video actually visit these sites? How did he/she get the names so messed up?
Poo get Sound. Hmm...where is that? I'm a Washington native. Never heard of it...just sayin'...
11 north
@walkwithmorteza 😍😍

I wonder why people who do these vids. don't at least do a little research on the correct pronunciation of place names, rather than insult the inhabitances' of said places ????
Please learn to pronounce the names of various locations correctly. Very offensive.
I don't appreciate an Australian talking about us
You probably mispronounced five different place names! Grrrr...
I don't know who this guy is that's telling us viewers which is all the best places to be here in Washington state. Dude, you need to pronounce the words correctly.
