In terms of influential, Fugees 'Ready or Not' should have made the list. It was one of the first Hip Hop tracks to top the UK charts and be played on mainstream "pop" UK radio stations without the commercial success of a movie like Gangsta's Paradise. This was super rare back in the mid-90s.
Good list, but I feel it's more mainstream. No Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, Dah Shinin', Aquemini, The Score, Fear of a Black Planet, or Muddy Waters songs just to mention a few on your list, you can throw a dart on a board filled with those albums' songs listed randomly and it would probably be a noteworthy tune from that era, additionally, its hard to condense a rap catalog from the 90s when, there were so many influential albums to choose from.
Would argue this is a list of the most popular rap songs, and also it's missing "Fuck Tha Police". If it had been a list of the most influenctial (gangster) rap songs it should've included Schoolly D's "P.S.K. What Does It Mean?", Ice-T's "6 in the Mornin'", and Eazy-E's "Boyz-N-The-Hood"
Not 1990s but my top ten all time. 10. Boyz in tha Hood 9. Check yo self 8. NY state of Mind 7. Without me 6. Nuthin but a G thang 5. Lose Yourself 4. The Next Episode 3. In da club 2. Straight outta Compton 1. Still D.R.E

C.R.E.A.M !! Wu Tang! Love it!
Mobb deep need so much more appreciation
When we talk about influential, i'm not looking at biggest rap songs, but songs that inspired the most imitations or trends, heres my list, in no particular order:
Protect ya Neck
Nuthing but g thang
Hit'em up (unfortunately)
Organized Konfusion - Stray bullet (inspred Nas - i gave you power, and Pac - me and my gf)
Regulate (everyone wanted Nate Dogg on their song after that)
Dear Mama (inspired rappers doing dedications to their parents)
Common - I used to love H.E.R. (this concept has been continued even until now)
Das Efx (inspiring fast rapping)
Cypress Hill - Hits from the Bong (inspiring the weed songs)
I'm sure I missed a lot but that's off the top of my head
NY State of mind >>>> California love
I thought the first was gonna be changes by 2pac, but c.r.e.a.m is also a good choice
Mobb Deep- shook ones is the 90’s anthem!
I love this list, btw I highly recommend you to make a discord server.
I'mma be honest 'LOVE' Regulate!!!...😍😴
This whole video is a vibe 🔥🔥🔥
Wow these songs are amazing
Would have been so mad if Scenario and Mind playing tricks on me wasn't on the list
Respect to Mobb Deep forever!! Shook ones part ii is at the very essence of 90's hip hop! RIP to the King Prodigy! The teenage 'so called rappers' of today don't have an ounce of substance! Nas, Mobb Deep, Snoop, Dre, Ice cube etc, produced stellar work at the ages of 18 and 19!!! Now who we got 🤦♀️ fs
Great list!
I love the old school 😍
same here
Lol did you just put my name is there 😂
Would argue this is a list of the most popular rap songs, and also it's missing "Fuck Tha Police".
If it had been a list of the most influenctial (gangster) rap songs it should've included Schoolly D's "P.S.K. What Does It Mean?", Ice-T's "6 in the Mornin'", and Eazy-E's "Boyz-N-The-Hood"
i feel like 93 till infinity should be up there aswell
👌
👑🙏🏻
hay quá Phúc ơi, nổi cả da gà luôn nè, thấm vào từng mạch máu
UK Head. Maybe didn't do the numbers but Outkast, Ice T and Cypress were big over here
When I heard regulate in the intro I thought someone was calling me since that’s my ringtone for my phone 😂😂
you have got to be kidding with this order, shook ones, scenario, slim shady, cream, wow!!!!! but thats your list.
Perfect but missing “Back that azz up” 🤯🤯
That was more impactful in the early 2000s😂 that was the start of the crunk era

We were spoilt in the 90's and 🔥🔥🔥
Mannnnnn *CROSSROADS* should be *DIAMOND* by now 💎
the fact that you don't have don't sweat the technique on here and rakim's let the rhythm hit em album. even though that album was supposed to drop in 89 on here shows how little you know. since all these rap dudes you got on the list stole from those two albums to make their entire styles and word patterns
Mobb Deep, Nas, and Wu-Tang Clan dope shit🔝
My name is and the real slim shady was the rap i still remember before i know rap,cuz it was always play in my neighbourhood
Man n y state of mind my mind playing tricks and gangstas paradise and etc are the songs that deserve to be on other list,, beyond level
