- Uncle Larry strums one for all you night owls after a long day of sessioneering and a couple “reebs” (as Brad Pitt once said in that great old movie "Kalifornia")
had a blissful day today creating with your typical four piece band, except every guy in it is a record producer...
#tim lauer #john shanks #shannon forrest
Ok I been listening to In Stereo everyday since it’s release and never get tired of it. My wife hears it all the time now and she asked me the other day. What’s that cool music your listening to? She’s Diggin’ it! I added your other two albums and GTs albums for one big mix to listen to while driving. Lovin’ it!!!!
Man that’s awesome thank you
Me too, just can't get enough of this. I listen on a loop when I make my breakfast. Puts me in a great head space to start my day. I appreciate your channel very much!
If you haven’t Trip the Witch album with Dean DeLeo is worth a listen.
Yes Trip the Witch has been added to my playlist.
Uncle Tommy....I know you can play a million notes a millisecond...but what I love about your playing is the touch, tone and phrasing you demonstrate here. I am so glad your videos are in my life....
I definitely second that !
Ditto !!!
Well said.
Well put well said!!
No pick and no compressor, so nice, and full of expressive dynamics.
This isn't listening to someone play guitar. This is listening to music...on a single guitar. Quite the difference. Beautiful!
Very good comment! There's a million really good guitar players out there, but Tom's stuff touches me in a way that few others can.
What an incredible exercise of improvised harmonic motion in just 4 minutes.
There is never a moment when your playing isn't leading the listener somewhere, I think this is what I really need to learn how to do
Now that's a great comment. Well put. This is how I have described Darrell Scott's music and playing. Take care.
And with this, I'll call it a day. Perfect Tom.
That hit the spot just before going on up to bed. Thanks for that man
Plain and simple Uncle Larry....just a gorgeous song, that is so evocative that it makes me want to cry for all the right reasons. Thank you.
❤️ this guitar is an angel and this guitar player has a halo ❤️
Hey Tom. I am 68 and inspired to start playing guitar again after a 10 plus year hiatus. Thank you for the inspiration.
Perfect start of the day here in Sweden ❤️
So sweet, and dreamy. Smooth and soft, like a pillow made with clouds. Perfectly chill. Great music!
I spent a week in hospital with this on repeat ❤
Its been a while since we had one of Uncle Larry's midnight beauties. I had high hopes when I saw he had the Gretsch out and it did not disappoint. This is the guitar playing that puts Tom well above other players out there.
Sweet & smooth. Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed day.
Amazing. Usually it’s a welcome the morning thing. Tonight it’s a lullaby. Good for the soul either way. Thank you.
«I came in like a wrecking ball!…..»
Beautiful playing, Tom!
Closed my eyes and immersed myself in that, it calmed a COPD flair up and relaxed me.
Simply awesome as always.
My only remaining dream is to play lake that before I die.
I think I'll listen to it again. 🎸
Man, that gave me chills! Thanks so much for another round of inspirational playing!
Beautiful.
Literally every time i watch, I’m blown away by your ability to tell a story with the simplest movement and timing. So much creativity around seemingly simple inversions and arpeggiated melody.
Yeah Tom, hit me right in the feels. I love the band stuff but the world needs a solo record like this. One Quiet Night of Unkle Larry.
Amen.
That song is a keeper Larry.
This made me cry. The touch, the feel, note choice, everything perfect ❤
Woke up in the middle of the night. Listened to this wonderful piece of music. Eased my mind back into a state of bliss and tranquility. Thank you ❤Uncle Larry.
I went back to an old dock I built maybe twenty years ago, to wax the tops of the piles. It's lays back in a swamp behind a wall of woods, the trail through the trees is like a tunnel to the river. As soon as the shade of the trees covered me the relief came, the breath away from the traffic and noise. Just passing among the old oaks was a balm, like this lovely music. So nice, so excellent, same relief from the storm of life. Don't stop young brother, don't stop. thanks a million,
That one gotta go on the next album for sure
Beautiful piece beautifully played which makes it even more beautiful and moving.
Never has a piece of music moved me so much
Perfect wind down tune to mellow out to before bed after a long and hectic day...tks
Your jams are like those classic tracks I can’t stop listening to for the guitar rather than anything else.
Thanx for that Uncle Larry, South Africa doesn't look so dark this morning after listening that tune 😂 greetings from SA. 🤘🤘
Dude I've just got to malta . Turned my phone on to local and this is what I get whilst thunderstorms crack above. Dogs dear . Thank you for all you do to all of us. Main guy . And you do doit to us . X
Beautiful…LOVE that one!!! 👍
Right before sleep takes me,Uncle Larry sets the mood perfectly. Thank you. 😊
this is one of the best jams ive ever seen you do. soooo good thanks dude!
Taking one on a journey…is what music does…you Sir…take it to another galaxy! Thx Unc
So beautiful. I don’t know that I’ve ever heard someone who has more to say with a guitar than this man
What a beautiful way to end a bad day. Thank you very much Tom.
The king of the notes!! I really wanna hear uncle shred some stuff we have had glimpses of his picking but would love to see him all out!!
This song speaks to me, to my soul. So beautiful Tom.
Damn, what a beautiful tune, and the guitar sounds so amazing.. Episode 303 also another beauty..
The low lighting . The mellifluous, melodic ,melancholic meanderings of the soul coming through the guitar. I,m sat here with a beer and a bar of dark choclate and this is about as close to having a good woman as it gets , if not better! 😆Thanks uncle Larry for keeping it real as always 🎵♥
That “metronome-like” foot tap...gotta love it!
Listening to this while my coffee perks in the background. It's a good morning. Thanks Tom.
I’m on my first cup, listening ☕️
Pure beauty in them strungs.
Larry, I like hearing you describe people as "tough guys" and "sweethearts". Just from watching these videos it seems like Tom and Larry have a little of both, how can a man be a tough guy and a sweetheart in this modern world we live in?
Nuther one that moves the heart n soul. Splendid!
Very relaxing before going to sleep 😊 Sleep well Uncle Larry,
Who possess the tech knowledge to gather these gems up in one place? Thru these episodes, he has several solo albums worth of stellar material. Just my humble opinion.
What is there to say but listen in admiration of what this man can do with the guitar!
Absolute magic Tommy👌🏻
I hear a little bit of wrecking ball in the melody lol great composition Tom!
High Lonesome Larry is my favorite. You blow me away brother with your feel and incredible touch. Thank you for the inspiration. Just listening to you makes my ear improve and drives me to pick up my guitar. God Bless you Uncle Larry
Mr. Bukovac,
Good morning to you sir. I want to thank you for your site here. I had never heard of you until just this year. Yes, 2024. Man am I glad I found you. Me and my girlfriend were getting ready to go to a Heart concert. I started just thumbing through videos on here and found Ann Wilson performing at Wacken. That's the first time I ever heard you play. I started playing guitar when I was about 10. I played until I was about 22. Then marriage came along and I gave it up. Years later and many regrets for putting it down I find myself at 65 years old but just by hearing you and finding your site I am sitting here holding my Les Paul and yearning for your videos. Thanks sir for such tone, passion and kindness to everyday people and new musicians like myself eager to sit at your feet and learn. Yes I'm now a subscriber. To the future young man. God bless!
Absolutely beautiful piece, Uncle Larry! Please get that on a future album!
Direct line from heart to hands right here...
God, why haven't I come across this channel before? Amazing performance, tears in my eyes from listening, amazing
great wa y to end the day. cold drink and great music thanks
Beautiful. I can listen to this on repeat.
You give that feeling of drinking the right number of beers and taking the cute girl home and life's gonna work out somehow
The right number is so important and tricky at the same time
My new favorite song , Doublewide. You played what I was feeling.
Doctor, that one has the sauce. ALWAYS appreciated!
Just beautiful, nothing but honesty and emotion in these gems you bestow upon us. Heartfelt thanks
Larry do you sometimes cry after playing a piece? The notes that flow from your fingers must come from your soul. Beautiful baby!
No, but I sometimes cry for humanity when I read the stuff people write on the gear page
😂
@@501chorusecho 😆😅🤣😂
Why?
Gear page is one of the best comedy sites in the world!
@@501chorusecho 🤣
I stand by my comment on another video, Uncle Larry is THE most tasteful player in Nashville
Not Nashville. Planet Earth!!!
You were really digging deep. Just beautiful.
Sweet the White Falcon...Ala Stephen Stills...
Absolutely killer Unc'.
Feeling that! You captured so many emotions in that piece. Introspective, sad, and ended hopeful. That was really well done.
I always wait until I have some headphones available to listen to you playing.. it’s a little treat when I get home from work.. one of life’s simple pleasures.. thanks!
Perfect note & melody selection! Thanks for sharing you wisdom & soul.
Damn that was beautiful. You tell a good story.
Very beautiful ! Cheers
Thanks for sharing Uncle Larry. Didn't know how badly I needed this today.
As well as know, every instrument inspires the player to draw out the unique messages within. There is something about that Gretch. Everything you play on it gives me a calm feeling. All the way back to "The OK Card". Just lovely. And yes, it makes people cry. Oh, not me, of course. Ok, yes me. Every time I listen.
Could listen to an album of this on repeat for days! Beautiful, Thanks!!
Hey Uncle Larry, you are the Master of Beautiful Emotive Improvs (MBEI). There is always such richness and heart-feel in your Homeskoolin' noodlings. I have been playing along with a few here (inside Logic). It's great fun for me to play with all my Strymon and UA pedals and lay down sonic landscapes behind you. You have such a great feel. Please keep'em coming. Peace and regards from Stratford, Ontario, Canada.
At around 2:40 and again at 3:50; that descending progression is sublime. It’s also slow enough I have a chance of learning it. 👍
That was so beautiful…thank you Tom.
That’s a great composition! Love that.
Tom, that was gorgeous man. I'm sure it's intentional, but some of your compositions inspire immediate lyrics because you write and play perfect vocal melodies. Thanks again for your music.
You're fucking brilliant! I just marvel at your talent. BTW, Cascade Park is an incredible song 🎸
That guitar talks to me. Perfect intonation
Beautiful my friend. Just beautiful.
Another lovely piece! Thanks Tom!
Real nice
I watched this last night shortly after it came out. I was lulled to sleep by it. It felt like a warm blanket was being tucked around my. Sorry if that got weird.😐
fantastic touch and feel....best 4 minutes of my day. Thanks Tom.
Touch, tone, space, and something to say. The real deal . . .
And seriously though this is one of your all time best. Real tears.
Beautiful playing. You never cease to amaze. Thanks once again.
I love the sound you get out of that Gretsch
Just beautiful, so pleasing to the ears and evokes such emotion.
Thank you!!! I watched this at 1am, i got up and started playing my guitar. Not too many people do that to me. Thank you so much for your music!
Loved sound from the white falcon
Your melodic sense is unsurpassed, Tom. Thanks for doing what you do so well. Beauty, eh?
Early Grace! such a great movie reference and some awesome picking.
Wonderful, in a world full of hatred & morons your channel is a beacon of joy. Thank you.
