THIS is thrash Metal!
17:21 holy hell that growl
absolute perfect vocalist for megadeth. amazing growl...
A tip: watch movies at KaldroStream. Me and my gf have been using it for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.
@Lennox Hunter yup, I have been watching on Kaldrostream for months myself :D
Wow
sounds like chuck schuldiner
Dave Mustaine the god of Thrash Metal.
Don't ever think in your heart such a blasphemy.
@@jeffersonaraujoelcristiano He's correct
goddamn gar is such a fucking beast man he blows my mind everytime i listen to psbwb and kimb.. he never seems to play the same thing, he always has tricks up his sleeve and changes it up throughout the whole song depending on what is going on in the song, a true mastermind!
Gar plays a jazz bass drum rhythm on Loved to Death. Every other thrash drummer would play that song straight like Dave Lombardo etc.
@@SPNKr16 Gar samuelson is one of the most unique drummers of all time, he is special, he is unorthodox, he is amazing, I think lombardo is good but gar samuelson is out of this world, one of the greatest drummers ever, RIP
@@SPNKr16 Gar's syncopation on Loved to Deth is crazy! The fact that Gar and Chris had a jazz background really elevated the group.
My favorite metal drummer!
yes me too@@ktw70
This would have blown my mind to see live in 1985. Amazing energy.
I saw them 1987 in Germany with Flotsam and Jetsam and it was mindblowing.
Megadethized my friend, you are a wonderful human being
Great to hear Early versions of tracks from before PSBWB was released. Wake up dead sounds kinda bad ass.
Wake Up Dead always did 🤟
You know that Killing is my business was their first album right? Most of the songs here are taken from that album
Half the setlist were songs that were released on PSBWB. @@leethomas255
5 is not most of 10 :)@@leethomas255

Awesome! Thanks MDized!
great! thanks for this video!
love how he talks about metallica. my dad was at this concert when he was 19
Dave will talk about Metallica until he is six feet under. Metallica is like his ex girlfriend.
@@gustavoalo2986 more like his child, junior.
@@accountemail9712 Not at all, the ex-girlfriend is much better comparision.
@@sadsadasdsadasdsadas nah, child is more accurate
@@confusedai4520 no, not even close.
Gracias MegadethizeD!!
Thanks, Jacob :)
So much energy back then. I miss that very much. I'm happy Dave is still going strong today, I love to watch him perform! 👍❤️
Be sure to catch the awesome intro to Devils island on this live recording. You have to back up a tad to the end of the previous song ( Bad Omen) to catch it but it is much longer and definitely more evil and badass sounding than the recorded version in my opnion!
Megadethized... keep doin' what you're doin.
my last words is so fucking badass
the riffs, the lyrics, the solo, everything is perfect!
Yup. One of my favorites from dave
out his trolley, playing this technical music and singing.... fucking unreal!!!!
I'm surprised at how no one noticed Wake Up Dead in this version was a mix of the song itself along with The Conjuring.
And has different lyrics completely
@@RustInPeace1990 it was called blood and honor
They still wrote the album
He's singing all over wake up dead 😮
I would love to hear this with better sound quality
Im pretty sure its the lyrics to the conjuring?
@@anglesupremacy123 its called blood and honor
:D Thank you~!
i usually do that for the concerts pre-Rust in Peace myself, but actually the times are in the description.
This is right around the time I saw them at La Paloma theater in Encinitas (San Diego)
That Encinitas show was December 1986. The only reason Megadeth played San Diego more then other Speed Metal bands back in the mid 1980s is becuase Dave Mustain grew up and went to high school in La Mesa(suburb of San Diego). Otherwise the Speed/Thrash metal scene in San Diego was pretty dismal in terms of shows. Iguanas nightclub in Tijuana, B.C. Mexico was the ONLY decent place for shows but it did not open until 1989 and it closed in early 1991.
Geoff, if you ever get here, was this the show you were referring to? (gonna see if he finds this on his own). thanks for posting!
Saw Megadeth play live last year with Lamb of God. It was a great show but it would have been killer to see them play back in the 80s.
I did and they were incredible. The Megadeath you see live now, are nothing like they were back then. Great years, first Donington, then Clash of the Titans tour of '88 😊
thx
It's not Wake Up Dead yet, that's Blood and Honor! (It's kind of Wake Up Dead demo)
what lyrics is he singing on wake up dead????
Wake up dead used to be called blood and honor. You can try to look up the lyrics somewhere else because I cannot decipher what he's singing due to the quality of the recording lol.
@@BradBag the demo version is what it sounds like
That theater has been abandoned for decades now, pretty cool Megadeth played at the Old California Theater
FUCK YA!!!!!! Thanks for the upload
"Waoooow i Wonder...will they find out...about the others...others lyrics"
On fire...
Wake up dead sounded way cooler that way!
This version of wake up dead is better than the studio version
Really? It’s blood and honor, the original version and its ok but not great
You’re smoking kidney beans if you think this is better than wake up dead
Is this the show that they played with Exciter and Hirax ?
Megadeath in their prime, the early years ...👍😊☮️
Настоящий мегадет
Wish I got to see this lline up
ME TOO!
The same sound of the album!
Choosen one is so fucking underated song !
Could we get times?
Unwatchable! But I still have my Memories.......................... Rattlehead!
Was that Wake up dead or blood and honor I couldn't hear the vocals
100% Blood and Honor
7:20 HES SINGING WHILE PLAYING THIS CRAZY RIFF THE FACT DAVE SINGS ALL THIS SHIT PLAYING THE SHIT HE PLAYS IS MIND BOGGLING 7:20
Is that Mike Albert on the other guitar?
No, that's Chris Poland for sure
No thats jeff young, unfortunately
Chris poland would never do those pose moves onstage, plus poland has such an original style, hes instantly recognizeable
@@mcsuckalives2302 Nah man, It's Poland trust me. Listen to his solo at 40:24, THAT IS DEFINITELY CHRIS POLAND.
@@mcsuckalives2302 Poland's on the same position almost entirely, pretty sure you're looking at ellefson.
THIS is the Megadeth that I liked and admired as a teen. From '85 to the late 90's they were immense. To see youngsters giving 2023 Megadeth thousands of likes make me sad. To everone who have been there since the beginning, know that todays band are a pale shadow of the Megadeth of the first four albums.
Couldn’t have said it better myself
bro he's in his 60s what the hell would you expect, the stuff they put out these days are more than adequate
@@jaredtbo2075 cheers 👍😊☮️
@Karolosbizos:- who is your reply / comment to?
@@karolosbizos1737 IF you were an original Megadeath fan, with them since the beginning, you'd agree. I'm well aware of his age,and the band's output... My comment still stands...☮️
What lineup was this ?
Should be original
WITH CHRIS POLAND AND GAR SAMUELSON
OMG Wake up dead 1st version.
Necrogirl I wish I could make out the lyrics.
Have you heard the of jump in the fire lyrics? Starts out .... Sitting at home with my hate in my hand, just can't seem to move... Gotta get out,get hot, back in the groove.
look up the 3 piece megadeth one of them has the lyrics, it was called Blood and Honor
Such a good wake up dead OG version.
Pretty sure it's Chris. I think Mike's last show was in September ,85'.
Jefferson Andrés Araujo Mendoza the guy who filled in for Chris when he was in jail.
Jeff young
Yea I read somewhere that Chris got out of jail in October and came back to the band then.
@@gabrielbrouwer , I didn't know that, thanks. This is my newest account; the other account was deleted.
Ah... must have been added after I made the comment.
yeaaaHhhh
The music after the show end?
Van Halen - Panama
Done
Wake up dead sounds like the conjuring lyrics
¡Perú es Megadeth!
37:18 the young boy nuttin for the first time
he said... why do you think that "you" were there?
1986*
its 1985
idiot..
43:04 Dave clearly asks the crowd if they have "our" album (the only one at the time), then plays track #1 on that album. This is 1985. Dave had most of the material from Peace Sells, and some of the material from So Far already written before they recorded the first album because Dave was and still is a music writing machine. Not only were they already written, but Megadeth would regularly play those songs well before they ever entered a recording studio. There is a full concert on youtube from 1984 in which they play a few of these songs.
@@jlopez47 Even crazier than that: There's a tape of dave with Metallica in the old days humming the riff to Rust in peace. Fuckin badass\m/
@@patrickyoung7101 yeah dude, mustaine is on a whole nother level man, hes a fucking beast
Thats not chris poland for those of you wondering, or saying it is cmon, poland would never do those pose onstage moves, plus his style on guitar is unique and distinctive. Thats either jeff young or some other no name.filler guitarist
Nah man, It's Poland trust me. Listen to his solo at 40:24, THAT IS DEFINITELY CHRIS POLAND.
Youre right
You can tell is Chris by those sudden head shakes. Wish I was there.
Yea defo Chris, he got out of jail in the October of 85 and returned to the band then
