Appreciate the details on the sound customization features. I noticed you spent more time on this topic in this video than you did for the Alesis Strike Pro Se. How would you compare the two?
I do believe that Nick DiVirgilio is every bit as good as the best drummer in history. Joe Morello. The drums style from both drummers is smooth, contains innate and tons of secondary rhythm traces and is never overplayed. Both drummers never boast about their "chops, ability, or accenture", basically, their egos are not the driving force of their abilities. It is secondary to their ability. It is absolutely a pleasure to watch Nick and "The Dave Brubeck Quartet" every chance you get.
did you notice any thing with the bass drum and on your beats it would almost double kick thud thud. I just bought the kit and getting familiar with it and any suggestion please. also Ill have to look more in the the USB card and what I can do with that sounds promising.
Me neither. You have to work hard at it, messing with the settings. But I have done recordings on earlier versions of the V-Drums and the snare was acceptable. Roland can definitely do better. That said, these drums are meant to play out in places you have to be quiet, or for practicing and demo recording. They are great for those situations.
Important question let’s say if I wrote my own music using my MPCX Drum Machine and my BPM is 200 will it lock in the Wav or MP3 Just like protools will recognize my tempo? Also. Has it been updated to use AS A VST PLUG IN? Meaning if I’m recording in MIDI can I drag midi down and turn it into audio fils without having to Re record it in protools? Example 2 just like Protools VST instruments you write it and then you can drag and drop and AUDIO FILES.
Hi, thanks for your interest! If you're composing music on the MPCX and then transferring those files to your DAW - yes, the DAW should recognize the tempo you set on the MPC. With regard to using this Roland kit with Pro Tools, the TD-17 module doesn't include a plug-in of any kind as far as I'm aware, but you can use it to control just about any drum VST plug-in.
