    The flower pot with the face is cute! I never knew about waiting a week to replant must be some plants are sensitive to new environments

    • @CristheGirl
      @CristheGirl  2 года назад +1

      Yeah some people just replant them right away and I've done that myself a few times and theyve been fine. I'm not sure how much it reallllllllly matters, I just give myself a week so they have some time to adjust. Thank you for watching!!

    I love your plant videos! I have a lot of succulents on my patio as they are drought tolerant out here in CA but I also have a pot of bearded irises that is breaking through the plastic pot. I get plastic because they are cheaper, I need to look for a place that has discount ceramic pots. Maybe I’ll check Ross and Marshall’s. I have a yard but the soil is rock hard so I just use pots. My mother in law has dozens of Italian ceramic pots, or at least they look like it with the colorful painting on them but they are mostly empty! I don’t feel comfortable asking for some of them, LOL! But I would love to plant them for her!

    • @CristheGirl
      @CristheGirl  2 года назад

      Oh that sounds beautiful!! I get my planters on discount usually. I love Ross, Marshalls, Homegoods, stuff like that for them. At Home has a bunch too and right now mine has a TON because they are trying to get rid of them. I have also found that terracotta pots are usually quite inexpensive. So glad you enjoy the plant videos LeeAnne! Thank you for watching!!!

    What is the key to keeping them alive? Every time I try with plants, indoor or outdoor, they always die.

    • @CristheGirl
      @CristheGirl  2 года назад +1

      Haha well that is the question isn't it?? For me, the key was just educating myself. Once I learned more about the basics of plants and how to be a plant parent, it all clicked for me. If you're serious about being a plant parent, I would start by reading a book about the basics! Thank you for watching!!

    Hey Cris! Thanks for the tip about leaving the new plants in the pot for a while. I didn't know that and I've always gotten on to my mom for NOT repotting asap 😆 🤦. I have trimmed off some of the roots before when im repotting a root bound plant... should I not do that 🤔??? They seem to still do fine.
    Ps. Did you layer/Cut your hair? It's Soo pretty!!! How do you keep your hair from frizzing in this FL humidity???

    • @CristheGirl
      @CristheGirl  2 года назад +1

      Ok first of all thank you for noticing my hair cut! lol! I got it cut last week, it's what the kids these days are calling a "wolf cut". I LOVE it. Honestly, I just put a little product in the hair now and because of the cut, it looks ok when it's all frizzy and messy! I'm sure it would look better in a non-humid state but thats ok haha. I think it's ok to trim the roots, sometimes you have to when it's super root bound! I know I've broken off tons of them in the past. And honestly, not sure if it reallllllly matters if you replant them right away or not. I have done both and all the plants have been fine regardless lol. Plus sometimes if I don't do it right away, it never gets done. Like all of these plants in the video lol! Thank you for watching Dara! Sorry for the super long response! :D

    • @lastFLnative
      @lastFLnative 2 года назад

      You're so welcome! I've always thought your hair was pretty and now layering it takes it to a whole-nuva-level. Oh yes, I'm familiar with wolf cut. I follow Brad mondo on YT.
      Both my sister and I ( your twin 😉)...LoL, have always had long curly hair. I think we fall around "3a" on the chart of hair type and we just give up in the spring/ summer. My first time out West it rained in Montana and my hair DIDN'T frizz!! (💕 The West). Thank you again for hair and plant advice and you never need to apologize for writing a "long response" too me. I always feel bad when I write a long comment because I know you have a lot of people / a life to get back to. 😊 ✌️ 🎃 🌵
