- The M1 Garand, also known as the M1 rifle, is a .30-caliber, gas-operated, semi-automatic rifle that was the standard infantry weapon of the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War.
#m1 #garandthumb
Probably the most iconic American rifle.
Designed by a french-canadian.
@@vincentlefebvre9255😂 You beat me to it.
A true beauty
It's Canadian...
That ping gave me goosebumps
same lol
It's very satisfying to hear that's for sure😊😊
"The M1 rifle is the greatest battle implement ever devised". Gen. George S. Patton😮
Not really the russians already had the modern SVT-40. magazine fed compact big calibre rifle
While 7/10 german soldiers used a bolt action rifle lmao
@@AbuHajarAlBugattithe M1 was adopted into service before the SVT-40 also yes they had it but you talked about the Germans still using bolt actions here’s some more numbers for you There were only a little over 1 million SVT-40s made compared to almost 6 million M1s. Who knows maybe the SVT 40 was better but like Kanye said “I guess we’ll never know.”
@@vicv7075 The Garand is without a doubt better as it is more accurate and fires a rimless somewhat more powerful round.Speaking from personal experience.
The Swedish Ljungman, Egyptian Hakim, or the Belgian SAFN are easily a match for the M1 Garand, if not better.
@@AbuHajarAlBugatti And the main battle rifle of the Soviet army was the 1891Mosin Nagant bolt action .
I carried this rifle for 2 and 1/2 years while in the Marine Corps. I think it’s a great weapon.
How old are you?
The most American battle rifle that I've ever seen
It is cool
Invented by a Canadian… lol
oui c'est de la merde américaine
A relic from a long ago era, when women were ladies, rifles were of blued steel and walnut, and men were of iron.
Truth
For damn sure on both counts
Yeah, and no men bed with other men! And if you don’t like ‘Meeica, you can git awt!
As a woman, I can confirm I am a lady
When you hear the ding noise out of context: 😀
When you hear the ding noise in an actual fight: 💀 (quite literally)
You’re not gonna hear it past 15 feet or in a combat engagement with dozens of other guns going off.
@Dr.KarlowTheOctoling im talking about your own gun running out of ammo
It was an ass joke anyways
@@MeNneonNvm then
That was the only draw back enemy knew that you were out of ammo
@@clairheld957no they didn't because there was a battle going on where a tiny ping will not be heard by anyone
I would still carry into battle !
Me too ✋️
It's about the oldest rifle that, with proper training, could still be used as a mainline infantry rifle for irregulars.
Hell no@--------123
@--------123 not at all because it's a bolt action rifle. Bolt actions are 1000% obsolete as standard infantry rifles and are only worth being used as sniper rifles
@@derkyderk9526ignorant. It is still being used along with the ppsh-41 in a lot of conflicts. Including ukraine. Same with dps-28.
Mine is all tuned up, bore sighted, and ready.
MAGA.
M1 Party Foul. The top round in the clip always goes on the right. It is tradition.
operates fine on either side
That rifle cares not which way the top round is
@donwyoming1936, the party foul is how he’s loading the en-bloc into the Garand
Wicked video! Holy congrats on 200k
Thanks a ton!
That "ping" is the most iconic feature of this weapon. The M1 Garand was one of the best rifles of WW2.
@@ЗоригтоЦыденов-е3пthere’s no way someone is heading that over the sound of a firefight, especially with the lack of proper hearing protection back then
Old beauty 😍
Excellent trigger control. I can clearly hear the trigger reset.
Right on
I loved it. The rifle that won the war.
I've always wanted a M1 great rifle, takes a beatin and keeps on tickin
Remember using the m1 in USMC boot camp, we also called it the thumb buster.
Always love the Ping Sound
It's insane how many videos have been on the Garand
Every Japanese, and German Soldier was at quite a disadvantage.
They had bolt action rifles.
Beautiful specimen of the m-1 Garand 😊 That’s a keeper ❤
That wonderful ping ! 👏👏👏
The best
that ding never fails to be satisfying
Love this rifle 😊
Excellent weapon for sure
Let’s all take a moment to appreciate the ping of the m1.
The greatest battlefield implement ever designed
TUVE UN M1...EXELENTE ❤😢
I have always wanted to shoot that rifle... I owned a 30.06 back in the day for hunting... devastating round... War is hell...
I love the sound of the grand
Very Good Weapons
The 6th shot is the one that makes me scared of shooting
DAMN THATS POWERFUL !!!
That's a Bad ass rifle
The most popular and classic weapon in ww2 and the ping sound never gets old
An American Beauty! ❤🪖
Beautiful M-1!
Indeed it is!
I carried the M1 riffle when I took the reserve official training for college students. In my memory, it's much more powerfull than the M16 riffle. Its bullets can get to a very long distance.
When I competed I used the M1 and the Mauser. Both are great rifles excet the M1 obviously was faster. In the service I used the Argentinian Mauser and the Belgian FAL.
A very powerful rifle
Yeper 30.06 cal..
Thats a beautiful rifle, and pretty well maintained. Where did u purchase it?
Not mine
@@Bullets4Bucks bummer, still i love the rifle one of my top i would buy at some point down the road

*likes video*
Such a beautiful piece of a rifle....was the M1 only semi-automatic or did it have a selector for full automatic?
How. do. you. expect. to. shoot. in
Automatic , with. an. eight. (8). Rounds. Clip ? Besides , with. a
Large. Caliber. like. Springfield. 30.06
you. would. need. a. Bipod. or. Fixed. Stand , to. hold. the. Recoil !
In 61 no ear protection on the range tinnitus
Badass m1 garand
🗣️Pling🔥
The only thing that worries me /drawback to this weapon is that "ping" sound when the last round is fired and it autoejects , that tells me and anyone else "he's empty 😳.....now's your chance while he'd reloading!"
Besides you can reload faster then a mag fed weapon
What happened to my comment
This one is a post-war manufacture
Yes
1.5 mil serial puts it at 1943. so ww2 mfg rifle.
Miss my m1
Me gusta mucho ese rifle m1❤
I got one that has a ten round box magazine
.308? Is it the Italian conversion?
It has quite a kick!

Like the range used tires filled with dirt by the way I own three of them will never let them go
It's the best one ever
The scourge of the Axis.
Yeah I don't ever C clamp with my support hand when shooting with this rifle.

What's some distance there? That thing can really reach out
So what your shooting at sees when you are out of ammo?

yours is from April 1943
How you get your stock like that
Not only do you load it like a child, you’re only shooting it like 25 yards. What’s the point?
To have fun, that's the point.
