What I like about thefutur is not always talk about design, I don’t know what to say, I think I always comment ‘thank you’ in every video I watch.
    Thank you !

This content is absolutely evergreen. That's the one thing about this channel that I really love and hope to emulate in my own way. Already started with the exercise of telling people why i'm grateful for them and I'll end with you. I spent the thanksgiving break hundreds of miles away from any friends or family and the only thing I have to look forward to is one day starting a business like yours. Most of the time I was on break was spent digesting yours and other designers' content and I found my work quality improve almost overnight. I learned much more here than I have in over a year in the graphic design program at my school. (I've explained my school before, lol)
I'm a very late bloomer, some health issues regarding my back held me down for a few years but I am choosing to power through the pain and be an adult. I am 27 next month and haven't even finished an Associate degree. As I've seen, degrees and conventional school seem to be unimportant because school isn't built to give people drive to do better, only to pass. It's only those who crave to be better that can ever manage to break from that. But I am stuck down in NC until I get that "fancy" foil stamped piece of paper for my dad.
Were it not for this channel, I would never have considered anything more than my current state. Which is that I'm approached very rarely to do a $300 logo job for friends of friends. So thank you to Chris and to everyone who plays a role in making these videos happen. Hoping for the best.

Today I had a good day in the office, but somehow I just felt bad about myself, and I literally was thinking about me disappointing people, not being enough, and thinking why I just can't be as good as I'd want. I opened this video and right from the beginning I knew it was going to be helpful. After Chris finished talking, I wrote down what I was grateful for about today, one lesson I've learned and send a message to the people who I was grateful for. Just wanted to say thanks guys. You are the best. 💯

Premium content, deserves a lot of thumbs up!
This touches my struggles moving to another country and getting depressed then having to rebuild myself and my dreams. Somehow I made it but I never really gave credits to little achievements I've made. I was focused and determined because I was afraid of going down the path of depression. I'm happy to have made progress but somehow sometimes I still feel like things get so much easier that I don't see challenge anymore and it makes me quite lazy.
I found out that fear is one of the great motivations for me.

14:00 on the question of how to change the voices in your head from negative to positive, one of the most powerful tools I’ve used is to listen to meditation/affirmations while I sleep. It’s crazy how much it has re-wired my thought patterns, and the extent to which that has directly resulted in positive behavioral changes. My favorites are on a channel called Live the Life You Love. She has two different versions of affirmations on each topic - everything from social anxiety to procrastination to simply loving yourself. If you feel stuck in a holding pattern or like you’re not crushing life, I really encourage you to give them a shot for a week or so. They have completely changed my life in a matter of just a few months.
(Obviously, I’ve been using the videos in conjunction with lots of other work on myself, including learning a ton from Chris.)
(Oh, and Marissa Peer’s videos on this topic are also quite profound.)

Hey guys! First of all THANK YOU for producing such amazing content that is so helpful for us to grow as designers. I make sure to watch atleast one or two videos everyday even though I am an industrial designer , the stuff you make is sort of universally useful.
This video does help a lot and it is excatly what I needed to know at this point of time. I have been having a hard time retaining focus on my work. It's like I always start a new project with full enthusiasm but then somewhere along the mid way analysing what will work and what won't, I loose all that spirit and almost always feel like giving up. I really want to overcome this problem that I have. I will start celebrating small successes and keep trying.
I love these videos so much I make sure my friends struggling with the same thing watch them too
    Once again, thank you!

I would suggest reading about Clare Graves Spiral Dynamics. It explanes how because we have a constant need to make sense of our surroundings, we start to seek more or less when we have achieved understanding the world we see right now. I agree with it 100%. When I got to a place where I could do things "in my sleep" I started to get the urge to go further. It's a natural feeling for a healthy person who develope. Thats how we evolve as a species. The key to continue for me has always to get going on the next thing while finishing up with the earlier one, it keeps the ball rolling.

I thought that "no way do I want to stay as I am right now, I want to do more. It was a click in my mind. I took a goal and went after it for next 18 years. Anyone can do it. Just search for a deep enough reason.

I'm 26 and I still don't have a fucking clue on what to do with my life. I make 50k in retail cell phone sales, but after doing this for the past 3 years.
