There are some really bright planes in the japanese techtree outside of the zero.
Well the J2M2 at 4.3 is basically the same plane just slightly worse high alt performance and 2x 7.7s + 2x 20s so I guess that’s their rationale
i grinded out the entire japenese tech tree with the j2m5 its op af
Yeah, it's excellent, basically there's no way to counter it other than hoping it'll happily compress to hell while diving after you. For broken techtree experience, there's J2M2 - bad high alt performance and way less guns, but a bit better handling (250kg lighter) and 1 BR step lower.

@@Bobspineable I think it’s just that turn fighting is broken. Since you can track when a enemy is gonna dive on you, you can just pull into there turn. Super props against jets seem to win every time just because they can turn better I.E. the p51H at least that’s what I think
@@SaucyTUX the jets dieing to super propa seems like the player’s fault. Unless in a super slow jet then you should be able to outrun props most of the time
@@wauwau-21st maybe. its been awhile since I've flown super props maybe they balanced it.
The first two ki-84s are also really good fun and I recommend them. Only downside is the BR which is too close to the 288c, and the elevators tend to compress quite heavily above 650. I prefer the otsu since the br change is only .3, but the ko might be better pound for pound.

Energy trapping people with this is unbelievably easy. I got to test drive this and oh lord I’m getting it next sale. Only prop where I can get an ace without rtb or taking any damage (besides occasional flap breaking)

I was describing air RB to a guy I work with the other day. I now realize that fighting is a huge factor in the game... just not as huge as the psychological warfare component of the game. I'm top 1k playing "casually," and I can honestly say that 2/3rds of my kills come from tricking or mentally defeating the reds. Reverse BnZ, fake target fixation, camouflaged energy state... these things are more important than dogfighting in terms of "prosecuting the war."

Lmao that's where I suck playing Japanese 30mils too. I'm a me262 God with those low velocity 108s but when it comes to Japan my brain goes oh 30mm oh 262, ok if I think I'm Leading enough lead a lot more.

Do not got the A-10 it's not worth 60$ I got it when it was 30$ and it's still not worth it.. in air rb it's crap.. get the su25k instead you'll have a lot more fun.

doesn't mater what I fly Spitfires Mustangs 109's (any variant), F-4U's, YAK-3's and 9's I can't beat these bricks at anything, I swear Japanese planes at the mid tier are over tuned to high heaven. I mean A6M's don't die when you shoot them with a 37mm cannon, the zero was designed with reduced survivability in mind to increase range and performance. SO WHY DON'T THE DIE!!!!!??!?!??!??!?!?!?!?!!????!?!!!

When playing the yaks I turn with zeroes they get confident and think they got me as soon as they loose all their energy trying to get into my tail that's when I straighten off and out accelerate them and climb then boom and zoom them to death
I stopped playing low to mid tier props because of the bomber/ground attack spam (not just the Ju-288 (fuck that thing(had to say it))). teams will be filled with brain dead shits who ground strike because they couldn't be bothered learning how to dog fight, resulting in A: everyone is down low so gameplay is dull, B: tickets are always low leading to a frantic ground striking spree and C: games are so short because of the some what new 25 min game limit (fuck I've been playing so long I remember when games lasted an hour) which leads to far more rushed climbing and engagements.
Also on the topic of tickets, why do some maps have only "medium tanks: and "light pillboxes" as the priority targets, I have lost games because one guy on the enemy team killed one ground unit giving them lead, but because my squad only had Spitfire MK1's with 8x 7.7mm guns and no trucks appeared for us to kill and the last guy was in a bomber flying to high for us to reach in time
Day 30 of asking to play the yak4 at 2.0
Start by a dive directly at q base that has another base clise to it ( 2 bases beside each other) 4 bombs for each
Go straight to your base killing some ai on the way with your 7.62
Some planes will come on your back going in a straigh line with minimal evading is recommended and try to hit their engines with ur turret since they have weak engines a damaged one will lead them to crash i return to the airfield with 2 bases with 4 to 5 ai kills and 1 or 2 planes after taking off i go for bases if left but if not i will focus on ground targets cuz aa is the bain of this plane so bombing airfields is not recommended
Bonus:do not forget to have smoke always on to piss the enemies 🤣

besides, the J2m2 is in the tech tree, and that's an even BETTER plane at a LOWER BR. I have a video on that one as well where I get 17 kills in only two games :)
