Okay so I've played a bit more after making this video, and here are the results of the matchmaker. My luck hasn't been as good as the first 10 games, but still good.
RESULTS AFTER 25 GAMES:
Uptiers to 11.7: 1
11.0-11.3: 9
Downtiers to 9.7: 15
I find the tech tree J35D at 10.7 gets more up-tears

Interesting stats there nonetheless. My stats after 25 games were:
Uptiers to 11.7: 17
10.3-11.3 games: 8
Downtiers to 9.7: 0
Though as far as I can tell compared to my friends, I get some pretty garbage MM regardless of what I fly.
J35D is also 10.7, has no flares, and has two less RB24Js.
This is literally the definition of a pay to win.
I don’t think it’s necessarily pay to win, it’s just gaijin logic, however something like the Harrier GR.1 at 9.3 is true P2W
pay t win is the Mig 23 ML, same performance as mig 23 mla, but u cant carry an rb24t and rb24r at the same time. radar is virtually the same.

For DCS the 70 bucks given you a study sim worthy highly detailed representation, the War Thunder one gets you less pixels than the gear wheel of some DCS jets.
That being said I am waiting for a sale to put the two MIG-23MF coupons I have to good use.

The fact that the J35XS and the J35D are the same BR tells how this game is beyond broken.
J35d needs to be like 10.0 but then it would be op in a downtier, except for the aim9L that a10 and r60m of su25
@@Miles26545 the old compression problem, the BR ceiling needs to be at least 12.0 so these jets that are same BR but are clearly better than other same BR planes go up at least one step.
@@Miles26545 Even at 10.0 it would be shit. The thing has no flares when su25 a10 and now the a6E are at 10.0. Avoiding Aim9Ls is fking hard with flares and without flares just J out.

@@NineSeptimsit's 10.3 now. I've spaded it recently(80 kills 30 deaths) and it's honestly really good. In the beginning of the game you have to avoid a-10s and in the late game when you can 1v1 them, you have to head on, avoid the 9L (yes you can, most easily on head on but you have to not screw up) and then just turn and you got a free kill. Same process with su25.
This is absolutely outrageous. It has more hardpoints including the extra missiles and flares, yet it is the same br as the inferior d variant. This opens the flood gates for gaijin selling the more powerfull version of planes as premiums.
Anyone serious about flight combat and who hasn’t swapped to dcs deserves it to be honest.
@@user-iu6sd8su3e the thing is... DCS is like getting married in each match, whilst War thunder is summer dating. One is a commitment other is just fun for a short period of time. I play war thunder for a decent air to air combat mostly sim and occasionally RB but playing DCS is when I really have that 2-4 hours free time which is rarely.

You see, in DCS I get it. It takes ages and a big team to make one plane. And DCS has likely way less players than WT.
Also, DCS is a flight SIM, WT is sort of a battle arena with war machines.
It sits at the same BR as the tech tree one, gets two more missiles, and flares. Genuinely a moment of pay to win here.
I'm surprised you didn't use the IRST. It's one of the main upgrades over the D along with more missiles and, albeit, a small amount of flares. The IRST really helps slave the missiles, can be very useful.

And u wholly miss the point of them being two different games.
First of all skins dont give u advantage/faster grind in CS unlike some premiums in WT.
Then CS was never as predatory to consumers as WT is.
Someone may have spend way more time in one game and be more willing to buy something. Theres also possibility of getting knife in few cases, winning it, being gifted it etc.

All the drakens in the game are absolutely amazing to play, it's just that on paper their performance seems very lacking

It's so fun to master it, and some people are unaware how you can stall fight with it if you managed to isolated a target.
@@Whiteghost785 the 35a is amazing tho, in 1v1 you will win if you play right. Against the all aspects you have plenty of missiles to use as flares and the guns, atleast to me, feel very natural to use despite having to tracers
and i feel like it doesnt bleed that much energy if you just turn at a normal non delta wing turn rate, only using the delta wing biplane level turnrate when necessary, however that is tough to do in AIR RB with mouse control, this is where it's easier with sim controls
I've played the j35 since release and one way I've noticed when in a flat spin is that if you pop airbrake, there's a better chance of recovery
Air brake, throttle down and spam WASD. It's sad how the pilot slams the rudder to one side and you can't control it anymore.
Never touch the rudder in flat spin Andy put nose down

The drakens airbrakes are designed to get you out of flat spins and work in game. It hurt me to watch you flat spin and not use them lol
I had a friend try the j35xs in test drive and on the premium it doesn't work this update... I don't know if they also changed the tech-tree draken..

Yeah 10.7 seems like a sweetspot right now. I talisman'd my F-104S and have been getting consistent downtiers. The thing is even nastier than the J35 - you get even more flares and can run away from literally anything at its BR.
Hearing how this draken has a favorable match maker is definitely not what i expected coming from a sim perspective where no matter what rotating bracket we have, it'll always be paired against F-16s or mig29s, glad it's not totally useless
Before a match starts, check if you're in an uptier, if not take only flares so they will last longer, if an uptier then take flare and chaff, just be conservative of them.
i never take chaff anymore as i rarely climb(search radar out of the equation, if i have a search radar i can just nose up to the people above me) and if you notice pd early enough its decently easy to dodge(plus chaff doesnt help much anyways vs a PD radar)
i take reinforced flares if i have small caliber and standard if large calibre
no one talks about it because its just another draken and there is little to no reason to grind out sweden...
3:36 gaijin fucked up the draken's flight model like a year ago and it just keeps getting into these flatspins that you cannot recover from. this pretty much ruins its slow speed maneuverability because you always risk dying
Plus can't forget about the "new" copy and paste JA37C with its proper load out and just rename it JA37D.
just cut the throttle and pop airbrake, its easily recoverable

if you get into a proper flatspin, it is not recoverable. no amount of airbrake and throttle cutting and altitude will ever recover a full flatspin

From trying to fly J35D which is same br I fucking despite Draken for how they ruined its fly model, constant flatspinning and ripping wing.
And full down tiers? I was lucky when I got one in 15 battles. For that im calling you on the RUclipsr bias XD
Carrying 12 contermeasures and still choose mixed is indeed a huge balls move.

Anyone watching make sure you have a keybind to change your control mode real quick because you can change to full realistic where your mouse is not to aim, but your stick, also full realistic drops the instructor, you’ll need this to get out of a flat spin

The J35 is probably one of the most fun planes to fly in my opinion. It is pretty fast and its turnrate is just funny, compared to other deltawings like the mirage 3 or mig 21 it seems to lose less speed, but that might be only imagination. It's just a lovely kite.
It has a similar wing setup to j7E after all. The double delta. And yeah it keeps its speed fantastically if you make it.

People forget that when more players get 11.7s 10.7 br will become like 10.3 used to be before the patch. The Kfir C.2 is also really fun now.
Also i topped out Sweden and US and I fly all aircraft almost the same, climb to a bit above 20k feet where even F-14s and J-7s aren’t paying attention and nose down above the center map merge, you can use that altitude to drop your RB24s onto unsuspecting enemy and let gravity do most of the work
this is how the draken felt for me before 9Ls came into the matchmaker sucks to dump all your speed to dodge a single missile
Snail did the draken dirty. The tech-tree variants are just in permanent irrelevancy because none of them get countermeasures. Then a variant with countermeasures appears, "$70 thank you very much".
I only got this as a Christmas gift to myself, yet it was the most fun I've had. It was also fun to duel my friend's MiG-23 and get a gun kill.
Quick Tip on spin control: If you get into a flat spin, full downwards elevator, and yaw against the spin. I like to roll against the spin once I recover as well. This works with almost all planes. For the J35, extend your airbrake, this was placed in a way to make spin recovery much easier.
An actually decent draken? HERESY DETECTED
5:48 One of my favorite strats in these cases where I'm close and in a scissors but pull allot of AOA is to use said AOA to yeet a missile at a high angle off. Most people do not expect a missile to connect from that close at that kind of tangent. Next time you're in a situation like that, try it out. It's really funny
Pro tip, if youre ever in a spin in the j35 you need to deploy the airbrake. It helps push the nose down and if you have enough alt you will recover.
Small correction.
RB24J is the Swedish designation for the AIM-9P3. This is better than the J, with better range, aerodynamics, maneuverability, and a smokeless rocket.
I bought this plane maybe 4 days ago, it is broken as hell. I played 100 matches and not one single match was I facing F-16 or MiG29's. One really big plus point to the plane is also it's speed, I don't know any plane other than the F104's that could keep up with this thing. The only hard thing is dodging Aim9 L's coming imfront of you after you run out of flares. Thanks to the speed tho you can outrun Aim9 L's by far.
If you flat spin with the draken put the airbrake out. It's designed to recover flat spins and it does work at least on the j35A
the f104S the standard S now has countermeasures, i dont know if its a bug or not but has made the aircraft somewhat capable now.
they announced it would be receiving them like a week ago or so, or whenever was just before the patch dropped, not a bug

I’ve been playing this thing since the first day it came out. Before this last patch a few days ago, this jet would constantly get uptiered to 11.7, but after the small patch it seems they’ve made that close to impossible now. I might get one game a day at 11.7 but most are down tiers and some are 11.3. Pretty good overall
The way I see it is this: I have fun in this game and the more money I spend on it the better it can be for all of us. Or maybe that's just me being hopeful lol.

Premiums should be no more than $40. WT has multiple ways of monitoring, like premium time, battle pass, other GE, the user marketplace. They are charging criminal amounts for top tier premiums

So not only premium planes are under tiered, they're also getting a ton of full down tiers. That's absolutely disgusting. They're basically setting up a food chain with the players who spend 70 bucks at the top, and pure tech tree players at the bottom.

Aircraft in DCS are definitely worth their price tag. Each module is like a separate game. They don't even take long to learn. It's mostly just getting used to the controls. You don't even have to pay that much if you wait for a sale or are a first time buyer. There's a pretty big discount that gets applied to your checkout total if you make your first purchases through the popup window that opens in the main menu. I recommend the F-16 or F-18.
There are PVE servers that are specifically there for casuals and new players.
Ask for more information if you're interested.

Joob, if you ever flatspin in this thing, pitch down and rudder against the turn. You were ruddering against the turn which was good, but you still need speed to break the spin. 🤙
It’s one of the worst planes to try to recover from. I still need a couple kilometers below me to recover from a flat spin in any of the J-35s.

J35XS can also do cobra and flat spin very easily.
If you bring the rockets and 6 rb24js you have makeshift flares!
Something to note, you can recover from the death spiral by turning throttle off, put landing gear down, put on airbrakes and rocking the nose up and down until you get into a nose dive. Also, I haven't played this jet yet but can you switch the chaff part of the flares to just flares as at this BR not many people use radar missiles? Get some extra countermeasures?

Hey joob if this thing's gun is anything like the other Swedish delta wings then I got a tip for shooting planes, you're most likely overestimating your leading of targets, I've had so many time where I put my cursor right on the plane and hit one burst kills from 1km+. Idk if the rounds fly incredibly fast, but that's how I've learned to use the Ja37c and j35d. Hope this helps.

I’m grinding the event tornado and I’ll hoping it’ll sell for a high enough price for a nice discount on this thing
it won't go for high, this type of event vs the crafting always ends up with them being 20-30 bucks for the first few months, then rising. Especially the planes tend to go for less, but you'll still get a decent discount.

9.7 br is a joke now. The starfighter for us has been completely nullified by this beast due to lack of flares. The br compression is just murdering old aircraft and if you want to play in that br you'll need to dole out money
Honestly what sucks about this thing is the amount of flares u get 😭 as well as cannon ammo because once you run out of your AAM you either gotta rearm or fight with cannons and thats what sucks about it i wish they added all the finland vehicles in sweden that would expand the tech tree

Day 48 of asking to play the yak4 at 2.0
Start by a dive directly at q base that has another base clise to it ( 2 bases beside each other) 4 bombs for each
Go straight to your base killing some ai on the way with your 7.62
Some planes will come on your back going in a straigh line with minimal evading is recommended and try to hit their engines with ur turret since they have weak engines a damaged one will lead them to crash i return to the airfield with 2 bases with 4 to 5 ai kills and 1 or 2 planes after taking off i go for bases if left but if not i will focus on ground targets cuz aa is the bain of this plane so bombing airfields is not recommended
Bonus:do not forget to have smoke always on to piss the enemies 🤣
I kinda wish they would add a later version to the tech tree, maybe with the R-13m1s it used irl and the data link upgrade, it just is kinda annoying that a unique finnish model won't go in a finnish subtree but copypaste can
Talisman on the Finnish MiG-21Bis is a solid choice, tho the better Finnish variant MiG-21Bis MGBT is likely coming.

i get mostly 11.7 in the xs wtf! edit i still love the xs
just gotta say, i personally dont care about the j35xs, the j35A is a unique plane if compared to the j35d, due to better center of mass and -500kg of weight, handles very differently.
where as the j35xs is just a j35d essentially.
albeit, the different handling is most noticable in simulator controls.
thing is a different beast there.
can pretty much dogfight any jet in the whole game.
as a bonus, it doesnt cost a leg to buy, ''just'' 50, compared to the 70 that is the xs, which is essentially just a carbon copy of the 35D.
flares arent even needed in that thing, so its even more pointless🗿
