Attention: BEFORE attempting to follow the Wim Hof breathing exercise, please view this safety information - • Wim Hof Method | Safet...
    - Don't take the method and techniques too lightly, they go deep and the effects can have a huge impact.
    - Don't do the breathing exercises in a swimming pool, before going underwater, beneath the shower or piloting any vehicle, without proper supervision. Always practice in a safe environment.
    - Keep in mind to do the exercises without forcing them, gradually build-up, and don't exceed your limits.

@Dalej Lama I'd lean more to articulate than eloquent. You can tell the man thinks of a thousand things a second. He'll often say something, then branch off into something else mid-point.. Then pause to think and so on. It makes his speech a little disjointed at times.

There is a concept similar I learned at church that works just like they're describing. The way I learned was we all have negative spiritual ties we have to renounce and give to Christ. These can be Patterns of behavior(sin); thoughts(beliefs); or just old commitments(vows/oaths). They also taught that these can traverse generations ("sins of the father..." ect...).
    voluntary stresses:
    1)Public praying
    2)confession of wrongness
    effects:
    1)pain relief
    2)improved self control
    3)permanent change of beliefs
People would become peaceful and have healing from pain. What was even more interesting was it was incredibly efficacious against addiction and self destructive habits. I think it is the same idea. Originally when I encountered this I was skeptical that the multi generational thing was explicitly true. This certainly provides another view of this, because I saw people renounce sins/beliefs/vows they never had personally held and be extremely positively impacted. Protein expression eh?

    • @Unexcelled
      @Unexcelled 3 года назад

Bruce Lee said you must fight your father's demons. Studies have shown, like the awful one where they harassed a pregnant monkey, her children came out nervous and agitated where the other mother was cared for the children were calm. They found a gene that expressed this. Genes have on and off switches, they call this gene expression.
As far as prayer goes, in my opinion, Prayer>>Meditation>>Hypnosis all are forms of focus. Personally I believe Prayer to be most powerful, yet I also feel like I bla bla to some powerful entity. Sometimes I feel silly asking about small things. Meditation is prayer without words. Focus with good intention. Hypnosis is a form of faith. Faith in the practitioner, whether that be yourself, or another. Once again intention is key. Focus with intention. Intention can also be bad thus "black magic". But remember it is only what we believe, that has power over us.
Freedom based apon a bedrock of virtue. This is the only way it can survive.
Control based apon a bedrock of sin. This is the only way it can survive.
      One reaches out, to eternity.
The other collapses into a dark hole.
The energy of freedom is love.
The energy of control is fear.
Think not of the fear. In reality it is illusion. God is. Everywhere, everything.
He who loves the most, becomes most powerful.
      Sin is invalid.
      Virtue is truth

Thanks so much Mikhaila for making this happen! I can't imagine how hard you have to work to be able to bring people such as Wim on your show! Massive respect to you! Listen Mikhalia, whilst watching this podcast, whenever your Dad would ask Wim about doing the 30 second cold shower and the 30 breaths, I want to emphasize that Wim was trying to make clear that the 30 breaths is just 1 ROUND. As Wim said, and as I have been practising for two life-changing years now, you must do 4 CONSECUTIVE ROUNDS. So do 30 breaths, then exhale for 90 secs ish (that's ROUND 1 completed), and then go IMMEDIATELY into ROUND 2 (again, do 30 breaths and exhale for as long as you can, which will probably be slightly longer than 90 secs this time) and then do ROUND 3, and so on, until you've completed 4 CONSECUTIVE ROUNDS. Do 4 ROUNDS every single day, and do this lying down on your back with your legs and arms in a starfish position, as this optimises the oxygen intake. Put a cushion underneath your head. I hope that helps! Please pass this on to your Dad! Keep doing what you are doing Mikhalia, you are doing an amazing job. Big Love from the UK.

One of the most attractive skills you have Jordan, is to verbalise in a very articulate and precise manner, the thoughts of people you are speaking with......in a manner that I can understand and resonate with....... So glad to see and hear you again, after this long period of time without you be "present". Having said that, I need to say that you are constantly present as ALL of your talks are not associated with a time dynamic and thus the are truths of truths and not just truths of the moment in which they are spoken.

I can relate to the idea of the breathing goes deeper into the mind than 4 hours of daily mindfulness. I’ve been doing this technique for 14 days now, and i feel...”feel”.... my stress is almost non-existent compared to a mindfulness approach. FYI I’ve tried the mindfulness approach for 5 years+ and never had same results. I’m not sure why, but the deliberateness of facing stress during the breathing and acknowledging I’m doing consciously doing is the key. Much love to Jordan and Wim, there is deep wisdom shared here freely. The world has hope! 😊

Wim totally got me hooked. I’ve been doing it for about 2 weeks now and I improved so much. My average has gone above 2 minutes and the record over 3 minutes today. It feels so great I love it.
It’s like the perfect drug: does what I expected and better without any negative side effects. The catch is that it is really uncomfortable to administer
I do it 5 to 10 times a day. It helps me and that’s worth all the discomfort. Actually I’m starting to enjoy that little pressure in my chest that used to be a breathing reflex. I sit with it, I fly light like a feather and overcome it.
I breathe when the tunnel vision sets in.

      @naufrago7676 3 года назад +2

@@manfrummt I think you don't really know what it means to be a true intelectual. It doesn't relates to logic only. Logic itself is just a "tool" of the mind wich creates the process to detect not the truth, but what most likely might be true. Mathmaticians, cientists, physicists, they are in the field of logic and they need to accept a lot of premisses for that. These premisses are always related to the objective topic of their interest. The intelectual is not on this same category, because he wants to experiente reality itself, directly and then articulate it (with lenguage) as best as possible for the audience. In that manner, they are like in-between the poet and the cientist (the poetic and the logician). It is well explained in the dicotomy that Jordan P. himself wrote on his "Maps of Meaning" book: the world as a place of things X the world as forum for action. For this he'll need not only "logic" but sincerity, inner confessions, dialectual confrontation of hypothesis, etc. Within that "way of being", logic is just a tool that comes later to reenforce that direct experiene wich relates to reality and the individual. For Jordan to be only a "logical mind", would imply that all he talked about came from abstractions of reality and not that will to understand reality itself (the individual immersed in the world and his subjective experiences).

This is very weird, I always focused on pain and disease when i was sick or injured, and i always healed very fast, never sick more than one day, never felt pain more than one day. And has he says, I focus my intention on the wound or my sick body (intestines, lungs etc.) and I breathe deeply. I've also learned when I started dancing, to connect my intentions to my body and movements.
It's a thing I very much liked to develop but don't talk about it much, cause obviously I can't tell people "oh just heal your body with your mind!", I have no proof of causality and also it's weird.
Also when I massage injured people they get better and say "omg you have magic hands" but I think they just don't tend to their wounds, I don't think my thoughts can influence other bodies xD

"We modulate our breathing and so it's also associated with the voice."
And to that point, "Music is in the gaps between the notes." "God" is the fabric on/through which consciousness can emerge, through the "breath" of living and the "pause" of dying. Music sings to this cyclical nature by having a structure that seems archetypal-ly significant in that it has beginnings, refrains, and endings throughout the overarching ritual of the Mass or other religious ceremonies, etc. All of that seems tied together to me, at some level. I'm very grateful that this podcast occurred, and thank you so much to the three of you. I am very thankful for the love that you are sharing amongst each other and with us.
