Thank you for your responses. I wouldn't have known anything about lynching places. I watched the video once I heard the trouble. What I saw was mainly white people doing wrong in the video. They weren't the only ones, but that's what it mainly showed. Let's face it the riots were terrible and destroyed a lot of people's businesses and gave people the excuse to act like animals destroying property and acting in ways they knew were wrong , thus the masks. But unfortunately it took now is part of our history. I think the song is saying that in small towns, everyone knows each other and protects each other, even if they bicker on a normal basis. That's usually why people choose them. It's like a form of family. If you attack one person in a family, they are all going to stand up to defend. I don't think this video was meant to be anti black, I think it was meant to be anti destructive riot and crime. IMO. I wanted to thank you for not just following the fed narrative and instead giving a true opinion unbiased. I don't particularly like country. A couple songs are ok. This wouldn't be one of my favs. But I don't think the song or the man who wrote and sang it, deserves the hate because I don't think he meant it to be racist.
If I'm being honest, and if everyone else was too, they'd admit many rap songs are way more racist than this. I think this song was meant to be anti crime anti destructive rioting. It mostly showed white people acting like idiots.

The thing is, what the big problem is is that in these big cities, with all of the corruption going on, we have corrupt DA's being voted into the system and they choose not to charge these criminals and it's what is making the big cities into hell holes. I don't know the reasoning behind it, but you can bet someone from the top one percent is making a big profit from all of this crime and violence going on in the big cities. I imagine prime real estate is being sold for pennies on the dollar to these big corporations due to the rise in crime and insurance.

Okay, people educate yourself before you speak on the topic. Yes, yes, someone was Lynch there. But you don't know who when and where and what I'm saying at least look up what the site is.
As a person from a small town I completely support this song. It's about unity not racism. For you city dwellers try living in a small town and see how a community will be there to help you whether you are black or white.
I think this song is about communities, and the difference between cold hard city, and small towns where everyone knows and cares about each other. NOT about race, all about communities.
Here in Tennessee there were several black owned businesses destroyed in those riots, it was heartbreaking to hear the stories of people who put their life savings into businesses only to be destroyed by people claiming to make a point. It was idiots from all races. I enjoyed your intelligent reaction ❤
All over the country they did, some were down right heart breaking, like that firefighter in Minneapolis who lost his sports bar, his life’s dream that he just managed to open
It is awful that we have to apologize for everything we say. I thought we were all here in this world trying to just survive and have a happy life. Love y'all
As a dispatcher in a rural county in a western state, I can attest that whenever my deputies have needed backup, the locals often came to their aid before their actual backup got there.
Ma’am it’s bc most of us are in support behind the men who protect and serve we don’t care we won’t need a gun we’d come in fist fighting just to make em sit down and come to there senses we have a sense of community we want everyone to be safe and keep peoples livelihood to be burnt or looted
That's how it is here in Middle Georgia and a great many other areas in different states in the U.S. we've traveled are similar in this community pulls together. I think back to how my mama & daddy told story's of growing up in this same community & everyone watched out for all the "children" no matter who they belonged to. And they knew better than to get in trouble because you would get it again once they got home & knew what went on. No phones convenient in rural areas so it was by word of mouth. Mama said her brothers were "hard headed youngins'" so they stayed in trouble pretty regular. People stopped and took time to check on each other. Someone gets down or sick & the community pitches in the help any way they could. Those types of community's are getting more rare with the times and the fast pace of life.
Disney has also filmed at this location. Thanks for doing a great reaction. All kinds of bad shit has happened in the past and their are greater powers dealing with those responsible. For now, I think this song is about bringing Americans together against the globalism that is pouring money into tearing us apart.
The location was close to his home and chosen by the video company. I did film production for years. I never researched the history of a location. I think they wanted a cool small town look or a courthouse to signify justice and this building was most convenient.
I will never spend another dollar on anything that Disney owns (that I can help). For openers that would be - 1) ANY Disney park regardless of location 2) ESPN and 3) Disney+. Please make me more aware of the other Disney related garbage I should avoid moving forward. Thanks!
Living near Minneapolis the burning of buildings of small store owners and their livelihoods was so hurtful and awful. Innocent people were harmed and all these videos in the music video actually happened. You two are adorable and honest. Thank you❤️
Y'all are a great example of regular people in America who just don't get all the drama that is happening in our country and can be honest about your views and opinions without telling others how to think and feel. I think most Americans feel the same way. The people with all the drama seem to have something to prove or don't seem to be content in their lives to understand people with differing viewpoints. It comes with maturity and life experience. Thanks for sharing.
My wife found this about the courthouse. "On June 15, 1904, the ground was broken for the new building. The cornerstone was set a few months later on October 8th by Dick Porter, a man estimated to be over 120 years of age. As a slave, he worked on the two previous courthouses in 1808 and 1846. Now, as a free man, he was selected to lay the first trowel of mortar on the cornerstone."

The difference between Aldean's song and gangsta rap is that Aldean's song talks about self defense, while gangsta rap songs talk about (and are even awarded for) songs about crime.. Self-defense is a constitutional right. Crime, instead, is illegal.
I grew up in a town of 10k and this video is exactly how a small town is . When a neighbor has a problem we band together and help each other . I can name so many incidents where my community came together to help each other .
Having lived in a small town for decades I can tell you that this song simply means small town folks aren't going to tolerate any violent activism or other violent crimes. That we take care of each other and don't buy into the racial bait bs. We love our community and the people in it and we will protect our communities and each other. That's it.
@@ricosuave5120 true those should be banned and jail time for all period, but protesting/activism is legal, but looting is illegals, and more looters should be arrested
According to Candace Owens, the incident that occurred at that location happened in 1927, her point was they had to search back about a 100 years to find something to complain about in his video.
I appreciate your sincerity and being true to yourselves. The media made me feel like everyone found the song unacceptably racist. That perception never occured to me when I watched it. Patriotism, family, and "love thy neighbor" was what came to mind. It goes to show that you see whats in your heart. I'm sad for those who see racism in everything. What a painful life and tragic because its really just a self built prison.
Where is the footage of Jan 6th Berserker Rednecks accosting policemen with American flag poles - desecrating The Peoples House - and causing the loss of several lives...? Forgot to include that one... Hmmm... INTERESTING... WONDER WHY...
It's not normal what's happening in our America this is what was happening people would go to jail for destroying other property. Good people do the right thing. Taught us all to be more careful who you put in office.
Loved this. I've never seen you two before but will definitely watch again. This song should be bringing us all together, but the media uses it to divide like they always do.
You two are exactly what makes America great! You see the truth and aren’t afraid to speak about it! I salute you both! God Bless you! Red White & Blue are the only colors we should worry about!
It’s directed at anyone who’s thinking about bringing their violence to our town. We’re fed up with it and we’re not gonna put up with it anymore. Stop the violence!!
This song is a massive heap of bigotry and racist dog whistles. It needs to be banned immediately. And your small towns are becoming irrelevant in the new America. You people have obviously never heard of the expression "Dog Whistle." It is a method of saying something without saying it explicitly. And you have not read the lyrics: "Try that in a small town ... Full of Good ol' boys, raised up Right ... Got a Gun that my Granddad gave me ... See how far ya make it down the road ... Around here, We take care of our Own." It doesn't take a genius to connect the dots.
The ones who are making the most negative noise about this song, have NEVER lived in a small town. I have! And I can you for sure...if you try that BS where i live, then brother, you had better think twice. Small towns are BIG families and we take care of our own.

I appreciate you both being very genuine. I am from the Deep South and we are very patriotic here. He took clips from the news coverage for his video so this was things that actually happened. We accept all people and all races but I am really sick of people making things about race. We should all love one another and our country. Thanks for your honest opinion on the video!
A good old boy is some who loves their neighbors, their friends their community and just want love and peace for everyone . Where we want everone to succeed in life and no one left or forgotten . To me that's what being a good old boy is about . Its respect for each other and our familys . How we can grow now as a community and as a family . One race one world
The song is not about Racism...it's about CRIME committed by any colour or creed not being acceptable in communities. He was depicting all the needless Evil crimes that need to be stopped. The song is about what happened with everything that has happened in the last few years that started just before and during Covid 19 thank you for explaining and changing your minds and letting everyone know how you feel about. And then if any one remembers Jason Aldean was performing at the concert in Los Vegas when the guy opened up firing guns into the crowd and killed and injured so many people. I'm pretty sure that it affected him severely.

In small towns, we take care of each other. Our families have known each other for generations and we all know each other and the names of the people in our town. You nailed it! This song is 💯 about getting rid of all of the robbing, fighting, rapes, carjackings, etc & living together peacefully. And as a country girl from WV, in a town of roughly 400 people, we know each other, help out, and just try to be the best people we can be. It’s sad bc in the big cities, they’re so used to seeing this behavior that they become numb to it & everyone (almost) is out for themselves. You come to a small town , whether it be a small black, white, brown, community & find out how fast you’ll regret your decision to try that mess , I promise! Thank you guys for your insight ❤️✌️

Thanks for your review/reaction… The song is about being sick and tired of watching the news and seeing criminality go unpunished…and saying, this seems to be the norm in big cities, but it won’t fly in a close knit, small town… 🦋Lily🦋
It's funny you say that. Unpunished criminality? Check out the backdrop. The courthouse he is in front of has history. Do some research and then let's talk about unpunished criminality...
I live in Polk County, Florida and don't know a single person around here that would be offended by "redneck" or "hillbilly." Me and mine were born and raised in the south and proudly hang on to our heritage. Thanks for being honest!
If we were neighbors, I’d defend your home, as I’d hope you’d defend mine. Why are we not all taking care of each other, anymore? WE all need to rise up as one people, and fight for all OUR RIGHTS! God bless you guys!
If you are not a criminal ,this song is not about you . Some make it normal to burn, steal , loot and attack people . Well it's not and never will be. Thanks for your post.
Love your video!! I am a born and bred southern girl...Try That in a Small Town is about how we take care of our own community. Big towns do not have the sense of community with such large and vast amounts of people coming and going. What this song represents to me is...in MY town...we will take care of our own...black, white, red, orange, yellow, green!!!! You are a part of a community that will stand up for you and protect you!! Small town values. As far as red neck or hillbilly..it seems to envoke a sense of an uneducated, racist person which is FAR from the case in most small towns even in the south! I love my community and ALL of it's diversity!!! But as a community... we take care of our own! I am NOT saying that there is no racism, there definitely are individuals who seem to think that their race is superior on both sides! But this song is about community and having each others back!!
Sound of Freedom just hit $100M at the Box Office. “Try That In A Small Town” is the #1 song on iTunes. Disney lost $900M+ on their last 8 releases. The silent majority is real. This sound is about a community looking out for each other against crime! It's about Justice not racism
They made this song for you. And for me. And for everyone who has had to live through having their community attacked and trashed. I appreciate you I appreciate this song and the message. Thank you father for this day.
Here is the thing; I was born and raised in the south. If my neighbor is black and needs help, everyone will help. If my neighbor is Hispanic, white or purple with pink polka dots, the community comes together to help defend themselves and their property. That’s what this song is about.❤❤

I commented on you listening & reacting in your car today, and I suggested you watch the video. Thanks to both of you for doing so. And thanks for keeping an open mind & being so honest. Love what you said about it being a teachable moment for all of us. After listening to this song many times over, including on headphones this week, the music (instruments & production) itself has grown on me so much that I will use 3 words to describe it: hypnotic, haunting and majestic. On a side note, I don't think many people realize that Aldean did not write the song. Four other people did. The way it works in Nashville, publishing houses submit demos of new songs to subscribing recording artists. The top artists (Aldean has had 24 #1 country records) get to pick & reserve songs first. PS- IMO it has plenty of low end bass. 😊 TTYS
Thank y’all both! ❤ I always refer to myself as a ‘high tech redneck’… lol😅 Mostly today here in Georgia, ‘Good ole boys’ just means they were raised up right with good morals & manners. I don't know the reasoning behind it, but you can bet someone from the top one percent is making a big profit from all of this crime and violence going on in the big cities. I imagine prime real estate is being sold for pennies on the dollar to these big corporations due to the rise in crime and insurance.

Small towns are of ALL race and color! I think this song is PULLING races together - as we already should be. WE ARE ALL HUMANS! 🥰
What a beautiful couple you guys are! Thanks for giving us your perspective. Anyone with two brain cells can see that there is nothing in that song or video that is directed at any race. I haven’t been much of a country fan myself; but, I could listen to this song all day! We need small town values in our big cities, not the other way around!
Thank you for watching 🫶🏽
Okay, people educate yourself before you speak on the topic. Yes, yes, someone was Lynch there. But you don't know who when and where and what I'm saying at least look up what the site is.
As a person from a small town I completely support this song. It's about unity not racism. For you city dwellers try living in a small town and see how a community will be there to help you whether you are black or white.
Facts
You are absolutely right
I think this song is about communities, and the difference between cold hard city, and small towns where everyone knows and cares about each other. NOT about race, all about communities.
Right! When one of their own goes missing, the whole town shuts down and EVERYONE goes looking.
Go down South to a black small town, we're all one in the same.
Here in Tennessee there were several black owned businesses destroyed in those riots, it was heartbreaking to hear the stories of people who put their life savings into businesses only to be destroyed by people claiming to make a point. It was idiots from all races. I enjoyed your intelligent reaction ❤
So True ! I couldn’t agree more . The rights of all .
All over the country they did, some were down right heart breaking, like that firefighter in Minneapolis who lost his sports bar, his life’s dream that he just managed to open
In Kenosha BLM destroyed mostly black and minority owned businesses.
I remember watching the interviews with the victims.

Your responses are exactly the conversations that all of us normal Americans have. We are not as divided as they want us to believe.
The location was close to his home and chosen by the video company. I did film production for years. I never researched the history of a location. I think they wanted a cool small town look or a courthouse to signify justice and this building was most convenient.
We're on a path forward. Look back, and you might trip
Thank you for your thoughtful comment! We appreciate you watching our vid 😊
This, this is the town I know and have lived in for 33 years. Thank you for researching this.

The difference between Aldean's song and gangsta rap is that Aldean's song talks about self defense, while gangsta rap songs talk about (and are even awarded for) songs about crime.. Self-defense is a constitutional right. Crime, instead, is illegal.
@ElizaDolittle great comment! ❤
anf the first violence he shows are antifa thugs, white liberal agitators who only get violent when they have a huge advantage in numbers.
I didn’t not see Jan 6 images or of the parkland shooter or Buffalo mass, shooting it only see to target BLM movement
It’s not the song it’s the video that got me questioning
I grew up in a town of 10k and this video is exactly how a small town is . When a neighbor has a problem we band together and help each other . I can name so many incidents where my community came together to help each other .
You guys are AWESOME. Thanks for the video 👍🏻
White liberals & anarchists torched big urban downtowns. Where is the racism here?
Having lived in a small town for decades I can tell you that this song simply means small town folks aren't going to tolerate any violent activism or other violent crimes. That we take care of each other and don't buy into the racial bait bs. We love our community and the people in it and we will protect our communities and each other. That's it.

Good news ..sensible couple with common sense
I appreciate your sincerity and being true to yourselves. The media made me feel like everyone found the song unacceptably racist. That perception never occured to me when I watched it. Patriotism, family, and "love thy neighbor" was what came to mind.
It goes to show that you see whats in your heart. I'm sad for those who see racism in everything. What a painful life and tragic because its really just a self built prison.

Love your video!! I am a born and bred southern girl...Try That in a Small Town is about how we take care of our own community. Big towns do not have the sense of community with such large and vast amounts of people coming and going. 😊 TTYS
