I was there ..................................this is in the top 10 experiences of my life !!!!
You are quite the lucky one
I agree
Seeing Massive Attack live has been my #1 bucket list shows for a while. If I had a Time Machine I’d go back to this album’s tour.
Just bought Mezzanine on cd after hearing the band name so many times and saw it at a record shop. What a great blind buy
Word up bro! The same thing, but friend gave me a tape to listem to...
Their masterpiece!
They NEED to start playing Group Four again.
Absolutely!!
right? Antistar or Atlas Air were solid closers but neither topped Group Four.
Now we´re talking RUclips...This is music!!
I WAS THERE you guys blew my mind!
Always relevant, always Massive ❤
Love it!! I will say that Teardrop never sounds right without Liz Fraser singing it. I can imagine that it's a daunting task for anyone else to step up there and tackle it.
Got to love a bit of Horace Andy with Massive Attack saw them in London on this tour still one of the greatest gigs out of the 100s I’ve been too…
I missed them on this tour twice. Was out of my home country the first and only time they ever played there. A few weeks later they played on the same night I flew home from the country I had traveled to. And they were my favourite band at the time.
Thank you so much for this! Massive forever
AMAZING! I WANNA SEE THEM LIVE!
Now this is a MONSTER upload. Thanks!
you don't have a lot of group who can create a atmospher,an erea, like MASSIVE ATTACK,is like your in a different time space,or on drug without tooke anything!
WHAT A GENIUS THE GROUP IS
Really !!
Nice video! I saw them live 10 years later :-) Such a fantastic band, I love all their albums so much.
Omg!!! I have been looking for this concert for maaaaaaaaaany years. Thank you sooooooo much for uploading 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️
Muy bueno.Agradezco por subirlo.

Give it another 10 yrs and each intro will be met with thunderous crowd appreciation/anticipation.

Trip Hop was born from "a" Massive Attack ! Thanks Brits !

My favorite cut of Group Four. Howl yes.
Love you guys
Hypnotic, can't wait to see them LIVE!
Obrigado pelo concerto em Lisboa
massive attackはいつだって最高だ!
Euro Zero Zero is one of the bests songs ever
One of the best Massive's performances!
But I do preffer E. Fraser on Teardrop though.
i had 4 years old when this amazing concert happen :D
I was 1 year old when this happened :3
God, they sound great.
Me ha gustado eso de marcar el nombre e inicio y final de cada canción. Bien realizado el video
obrigado massive attack
Among the many live perfs of Euro Zero Zero, this version still is the best imho
Love her version of Teardrop..bravo
Top!
fue un buen momento que viví en el 99 , una mezcla. de buen rock progresivo
Agreed. I saw them live 2009 in Helsinki, the atmosphere in the venue was amazing. During "Angel" it literally felt like the roof would break from the sheer energy. This is particularly exceptional here in Finland, usually we are a rather reserved crowd... Also, their live version of Atlas Air is so much better than the one on Heligoland, I've been trying to find a similar live version on RUclips but unfortunately the subpar audio quality doesn't do the track any justice.
amazing being there, smoking a doobie and a cold one, heaven
Which venue was it
hymn for the big wheel is 25 years ahead to its time
I like it
3D mentioned in a interview published late last year that he met Mushroom purely by accicdent last Summer in Bristol. It was the first time they had met in over 10 years.
He described their meeting as "It's been like a happy dream communicating with Mush again".
So who knows? Nothing might come of it but at least we know 3D and Mushroom are at least on talking terms again, no matter how brief a time it was.
Did massiveattack.co.uk forums switched off? Thank you and thank you for your work
Name of the singer is Horace Andy on Angel
MAravilhoso!!!!!!!!!
nice
TO LOVE YOU LOVE YOU LOVE YOU LOVE YOU LOVE YOU........................................♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Alright someone remaster this please its a m a z i n g....
🤯
20:30-25:28 Better than the studio version.
good ol 99
TEARDROP IS THE SONG WHO IS THE MOST REPRESENTATIVE OF MASSIVE
Can someone master the quality and reupload this...
Thank you for sharing, on my channel, I created a video from a pirate cd of the 1996 festivals and we really realize the progress of the band on the mezzanine tour. it's unfortunate that this is one of the concert of the end of tour, I had seen a year earlier, in November or December 1998 in Paris and Liz Fraser was in the game. but the progress during stage performances of massive attack between 1996 and 1998 are really interesting, I invite you all the same to use it for your channel because the recording is of very good quality (if you need the photo of the cover, let me know because for some time I put the name of my channel on my own videos) if that's all trouble I would also like to use the soundtrack of this video (when I take the video of a person I always put the link to the original video as well as the channel of its author) thanks again. see you soon.
VISTO CONCERTO ARENA VERONA ITALY. GRANDIOSI.
+maurizio lonardi Si anch'io ma se avessi potuto vederli durante sto tour sarebbe stata tutt'altra storia!
The MELT concert was their best, especially INERTIA CREEPS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i love that Daydreaming version but that broken microphone of Robert spoiled it
you rock like the old site red-lines ;)
Great show! I barely noticed almost one hour and half pasted. (the female singer tho, missed a spot here and there)
see you on the 31st in Portsmouth boys
I miss The Wild Bunch :)
This is the golden age of Massive Attack, and you can say I'm a boomer if you want, in this case, it's pretty true!
Hey guys? Who, here, believes that Robert Nel Naja is actually Banksy?
It’s likely to be Robert Gunningham, another bloke from Bristol. He’s a bit younger than Del Naja, but did say he was inspired by his graffiti work.
great add for bounty the quicker picker upper... who needs it!!!!! because we like massive attack? i really don't grasp the connection...

wir sind von stahl, wir kennen keine liebe, wir träumen von flugzeugen. ziemlich traurig. aber ich finde mich an jedem flughafen zurecht.
They look so fuckin' high.

No Inertia Creeps😓 But there is Group 4 🔥
Is he Horace Andy?
Leave a tag here
what is the name of the singer?
SHUT UP TROLL
Wish Mushroom would rejoin the group, they haven't been the same since he left.
It's only me hearing that hi-hats SO loud?

Contre un arbre... 🌲
Used to be one of my favorite bands until I watched this video. What has happened - none of them seem to be able to carry a tune??
+Lucky Luke Your opinion is the stuff of willful ignorance. Regardless, it doesn't matter if a band is great in the studio but not on a live stage. What matters is the music it produces.
tfw no dissolved girl
Why people don't shout or clap? (Are they stupid?) I'd be screaming at the top of my voice and singing out loud every song!!!
Zad Moon clapping take the public out of the show
Five man army
wir mussten mit MA ein agreement treffen, wie teilen wir den afrikanischen Kontinent auf. pentagon kann uns morgen ein spiegelei braten.
Imagine trying to imitate John Bonham's drumming whilst playing Man Next Door live lol
is the crowd asleep? wtf?
they were high.
They're Dutch. We're known as very calm people during concerts. Musicians call it the Dutch disease.
wir haben so null bock auf krieg, wir basteln uns ein uboot und fliegen das nach melbourne, love u.
Yo! Did anybody pay to get here tonight?
I want five man army
26:35 is that tricky??
he is Andrew "Mushroom" Vowles
once you've heard Shara Nelson, you cannot have a substitute... sorry
five man army...
Was at Melkweg that day on a photo assignment and have to say that this is by far the worst performance I have ever heard them give, specifically 3D and Daddy G. So detached. In all fairness it is harder to appreciate when you are taking pictures. But that didn´t change the fact that they were high as kites, too high to sing..
I believe you :) I've seen them 4 times and they were awsome but this gig is just hard to hear, sorry.
@@alaskie1227 The three other times I saw them they were brilliant. Specifically two of the concerts were some of my all time high lights of enjoying live music. Still one of the most important groups to me after all these years.
Massive heart attack!!! WTF. I LOVE MASSIVE.....but the vocals were horrendous. That can happen to the best of us... and im your biggest fan.!!!
But that nobody else remarked on this is simply astounding.
Please take this down.!! No offence but Its horrible.!!!
Uau ! I was kind of disappointed as i really like their album Mezzanine, and when listening to a couple of tracks played live in this concert, their voices sounded a lot worse and out of tune when compared to what we listen to in studio records. Now i know it's all an excellent work of remastering rather than real ability to sing. Shame to realize such truth ! Should have never got curious to check their live performance, mainly the singers...
i couldnt agree more
wow, i couldnt disagree more, i saw them in concert a couple of years ago, it was AMAZING, if you´re talking about the Mezzanin´s songs in this concert maybe because they usually change their females singers very often you dont get the same feeling but Daddy G´s (Risingson, Mezzanine) and specially Horace Andy´s (Angel) songs are great!
try to watch more recent performances (of the same tracks), they are just perfect ;)
There's way more rapping than singing in massive attack, at least that's for 3D and Daddy G. But I get what you say. Although, I think sometimes they change the pitch on porpose. 3D, for example, seems like he always like to do it higher live, and I seriously doubt he couldn't do it like in the record, since he would have to sing lower, and that's not a problem for anyone. But Horace and the girls always do it great.
Uau! .V
I do like Massive Attack... This isn't very good though, the vocals are pretty bad
Yeah they are really out of tune some times.... Maybe the room is very big and the ear-monitor hard to handle.... i'm disapointed
