Probably my favorite scene in any Wes Anderson film. It strikes such an extremely raw, visceral, and emotional core from deep within my soul. It's a startlingly somber moment that was so beautifully built up to. Everything that had happened to the three brothers has led all three of them to this point of deep and humbling realization that they've been living this spiritual journey (that was supposed to be a healing experience for all of them) completely the wrong way. Beautiful, beautiful stuff that I couldn't even begin to truly describe how it affects me even if I tried
They tried so hard to MAKE a spiritual awakening happen, never realizing that's not how it works. Then, what happens? Their most profound experience finds THEM. This movie is so rich in spiritual references and symbolism. I've watched it several times and perceived it a different way, every time. Harold and Maude is also like that for me. Two entirely different movies, but with similar components.
Where are you going, I don't mind I've killed my world and I've killed my time So where do I go? What will I see? I see many people coming after me So where are you going to, I don't mind If I live too long I'm afraid I'll die So I will follow you wherever you go If your offered hand is still open to me Strangers on this road we are on We are not two, we are one So you've been where I've just come From the land that brings losers on So we will share this road we walk And mind our mouths and beware our talk 'Til peace we find, tell you what I'll do All the things I own I will share with you And, if I feel tomorrow like I feel today We'll take what we want and give the rest away... It also happens to be the name of the long-distance train on which they were traveling, and which happens to be the namesake for the movie. The point is the title of this video is referencing the name of the movie, not the location of the video.

the only scene that makes me cry and I don't feel embarrassed about it
why would you?

we are on the same wavelength
I love that each lyric is fitting to each situation. Every bit of Wes Anderson is well put.
This scene and the one preceding choke me up everytime and make my cry.
Cinematic brilliance
He could not save him …...One amazing movie indeed
I love this scene.
They painted the autorickshaw from its original colors (yellow-black) in order to match the color palette. Now that's Wes Anderson!!

@@BAGA-fy1kd Yup
Jejus this is not Darjeeling...
What? This song was played during this scene in the movie "Darjeeling Limited" so... I'm confused by your statement.
