Ilythia I like the way you curate a small collection of fragrances and put them together in the frame at the end when you summarize the round up. The visual is very beautiful and helpful. BTW I also like Gris Charnel sometimes and am turned off by it sometimes. I like the top notes better than the drydown.

I am noticing that ones with musk have this weird quality that gives me a headache too - actually a bit more nauseous. Good girl, alien, even delina have this same weird smell that i ‘think’ is the musk

I have that same issue with Tiziana Terenzi fragrances I love the scents but headache inducing and synthetic smelling. Same for Mancera and Montale for me it's the heliotropes and aldehydes I stay away from them.

Although I purchased Tabit from a discount site, I thought it may have been that. It has a muskiness to it I just can’t overcome. I haven’t tried anymore from their house just because of that! Everyone raves about it but I really didn’t like at all. If you haven’t and can ever get your nose on Guerlain Gourmand Coquin, that is a gorgeous scent!!!
I love Loubirouge as well. It is a safe blind buy. All of them in that line are good. I wear Loubidoo and Loubifunk together and they are magic (although some might find them a bit screechy or strong)

I’ve already tried Santal complet and gris charnel and really like Gris charnel but just like you said it’s little masculine for me with those spices on top but I love the dry down. How would you compare it to santal blanc, seems like notes are similar. Would you say it’s more feminine but still creamy and cozy? Which one would you pick?

I’m almost totally anosmic to BR540. On the tester strip I definitely can’t smell it. On my skin, it smells like something burnt and watery. Not at all what people describe. It might be the saffron? I can’t taste saffron much either tbh.
Have you tried Nest Indigo? I feel like I recall you trying it in the past, but it features fig and cardamom as well as tea and bergamot and it's one of my absolute favorites! It's like the cozy expensive scents you mention here but make them like a warm summer night! That's the vibe it gives me at least. I adore it.
Smelled all Roja essence perfumes and they are indeed very well blended, but to me they all smelled like you need to be at least in your 40s to like this. It s not a fragrance for young women in my opinion

Santal complet is way sweeter! Gris charnel is better but longevity is not great
