Truly, this song has some hidden treasure in it. I searched RUclips for this song, saw and tried hearing many versions. They're ofcourse good. No doubt!! But I personally scrolled back to "top" and listened to this version peacefully. Raghu has matured into a wonderful musician already! Stunning ease of rendering and his vocal chords have grown in strength!. He has so much of future in pure carnatic singing. But as usual, the purity of VGP is in conveying the devotional aspect of it. The melody will never be the same when I hear the same keerthanas on other channels where all these awesome kids sing.. it could be due to a lot of dominating background music or filmi style of singing mandated by producers or too many gimmicks that do not deliver the rasa and bhava in the end.
