I always find it interesting when, depending on the writer, some of Batman's rogues gallery can be written to be either unstable enough to be institutionalized in Arkham, or their stable enough to just be sent to Blackgate. Bane in this adaptation is a great example of this (as most other versions of Bane are normally sent to Blackgate).
@@jakelawliet3584i like her. She is a paradox A smart psychologist but follows an insane clown. Yet she has shown to be very useful alot and even in her own spin offs is the unspoken leader. All she usually has is a melee weapon a bat or a mallet. Sadly always is the butt end of a joke or punchline
The most humorous part of the entire scene is having Joker, a normal human who has to use weapons to hurt people and is of lesser than average strength, in a straightjacket and armored cell, while Bane, who is naturally strong enough to bend steel and can probably smash through the glass, in a normal cell with everyone else.
There’s a reason for the Joker He is unpredictable and with his insanity he is even more unpredictable, the Joker would tear down an entire city to get Batman’s attention and he is Batman’s most feared and respected enemy, and he also understands Bruce as well so that makes him even more dangerous
I think it is because of their drive to get out. Bane isn't dumb, he knows that without a solid plan he's gonna get kicked by the Bat and sent back into a cell. Joker on the other hand has enough confidence to just get out of Arkham and roll with whatever. He does not need to be prepared to escape.
@@tomaskaila But Joker can't even break the basic glass wall, that's my point. The cells are PHYSICAL restraints, not mental restraints. Joker could want to break out all he wants, but can't bend bars or break acrylic glass. Thus the straightjacket is completely redundant unless people are entering his cell. Bane might not want to break out, but in some incarnations he's straight-up immune to small arms fire and is one of the few enemies that can consistently give Batman a run for his money, at least when writers don't forget he ISN'T a big dumb brute and is actually quite smart. He could probably smash his entire cell apart with ease and then break through the wall to escape.
@@OGXenos Well that's the point, even if you tried, Bane is strong enough to break free anyway, so why bother with expensive measures to keep him locked ? Just put him in a standard cell, and let him be. Joker on the other hand, you can bind him physically and you absolutely should do so. Even without being able to get out of his cell with brute force or special abilities, he is the criminal that has escaped from Arkham the most, so there must be some kind of wisdom in keeping him triple secured.
How accommodating the Arkham Staff are to leave the significant accessories and recognizable parts of each inmate's costumes for them to wear and use in their cells.
Can we take a moment to appreciate how badass Harley was in this movie? Her relationship with the Joker doesn't seem abusive She's actually just crazy and having fun instead of obsessed and strung along She sees a man like Shredder (who just killed his way into the asylum) and thinks to use him as a mirror She corrects Joker when he calls her a nurse: she's a doctor with a degree This might be my favorite version of her since Mad Love, honestly
I feel the opposite. The abuse if part of her character, her tragedy, which is what makes her compelling as both a companion and a counter to the joker.
@@Nikolaj11 I just enjoy them as animal characters. Harley looks derpy most of the time but its an interesting twist. I like her insisting on being a doctor too. As for the way she is in this vs. other movies/shows. I hated joker mostly for what he does to her but its also part of who they are. She needs him and cant get away. Her not being his punshing bag for once seems nice. I really dont want her in that situation but when he betrays or abuses her as she finally snaps out of it in some episodes of the old shows it has so much impact. In that regards they are both more played for a joke but im always happy for more Harley yeen (if that ever happens).
@@Nikolaj11 Your right about the abuse being a part of her character. But sometimes I feel like people focus on it too much. I really enjoy those rare moments in the old cartoon where it showed Harley did have a line for joker and if he crossed it he was the one in trouble.
How crazy, lackthereof or crazy, but is getting reasonably better with that bubbly charm depends on which universe you're in. Like in Justice League: Gods and Monsters, Harley is that kind of crazy that I won't even touch. In Suicide Squad (the extended version that makes more sense) she is crazy, but she can call out bullshit and be there for others when need be. In Injustice 1 she's that type that is the way she needs to be and in 2 she's bubbly, but typically the ones who truly are have some inner demons that have not been resolved, especially when Harley had a daughter named Lucy in that time line. Once again, it strongly depends
This one scene literally shows everything that's wrong with modern writers. Look when you have them open the door and there's a figure cloaked and Shadow and you see that smile cut the damn scene there. You don't need to show his face the smiles enough for anyone who's actually enjoying this type of content.

She is evil. Plain and simple. Ready to kill people if it means fulfilling her selfish desires.
There interesting thing between Ral Al Ghoul and Shredderx is that both are skilled marshall artists, are both ruthless, both are leaders of there own respective factions, and don't like failure. But they both know that threatening each other wont matter
Well to be honest if Shredder killed everyone in Gotham he didn’t like them there’d be no Arkham inmates at all. Though sadly these freaks are needed for the plan to distract Batman so as long as they serve a purpose he lets them live. Not unlike the freaks back home in New York that work for or with Shredder
In hindsight, being able to actually leave his cell without the temperature restraints he had to obey no matter the cost must have really turned him around. That, and maybe his new found aggression curtesy of his transformation.
Ok, seriously now, how is Joker more useful than Bane and Poison Ivy? Bane literally earned the respect of Ras‘ al‘ Ghul in the comics, was actually a challenge in chess for Ras‘ and he and Talia had a flick going on. Not to mention, Bane has a near-genius level intellect, is in peak physical condition and actually mastered multiple fighting styles. And on the other hand, Poison Ivy controls the Plants, she is literally the most powerful one from all of the Villains in there. If she would use her powers from afar while the Foot Clan and the League of Assassins go up close, that would be a guarantee win. So instead of pickibg either the Genius tactitian with an Iron Body, the super powered Plant user, or both, they take Joker because........... reasons? Yeah, sure, i get it, it‘s because it‘s a kids cartoon movie and etc. But still, come on guys...
Did you not actually watch the movie? They need the formula for the Joker Venom which Joker has. All the villains get infected with the ooze and play a part later. The Joker Venom combined with Ooze turned people into literal mindless monsters unlike those who turn into animal hybrids with still the cognitive thought and reasoning.
If I had to guess, its because while she is powerful, there is no way Poison Ivy would work for men to accomplish their objectives. Bane may be a genius tactician, but only really cares about fighting the one who took him down. Joker however, would tear down the city just to get Batman's attention.
Because joker is the most dangerous one there due to his insanity and the fact that'd he'd burn down the city and call it fun all for batman's attention

I also remember one comic where Scarecrow had all of Gotham under his control without even a bit of his toxin and one (if not the same) where he kept talking to other inmates in Arkham into making them move killed themselves to get free, besides he manipulated the guards into releasing him without even realizing it. So he can do a lot without his fear toxin.
(Sorry if there are any mistakes with the English, it's not my native language and I'm still learning.)
I like how Bane made a bone-breaking gesture when he mentioned Batman.

He was probably curios why an innocent looking girl like her would be in a place like this
Shredder: The foot has no need of these...FREAKS.
Heath Ledger Joker: FREEEEEEEAK!
(Joker appears out of the shadows)
Shredder: ....🤨...Really?...a clown?...you’re telling me this guy can destroy Gotham??!!...I tried to take over New York City In a giant tank ball and worked for a guy who’s brain was in his stomach...and you’re telling me this is the best you have??!!

Well to be fair.
Shredder has actual Powerful people as Henchmens.
While Gotham Villains are Lokey Weak.
I like how Shredder was played by Harleen quinzel. Shredder comes from a place of order and honor, and Gotham is chaotic without rules. Shredder naively thinks that Harley quinn has some information that will help him and is willing to share it and naively fell for the manipulation tricks.
Harley Quinn making a fool out of Shredder... Insanely awesome.
She'll be eating his blades in the next movie considering he essentially turns into a Jokerized version of himself by the end of the film...
Im surprised the shredder even entertain Harley by seeing what she wanted.
pff
she's overrated
@@jakelawliet3584i like her.
She is a paradox
A smart psychologist but follows an insane clown. Yet she has shown to be very useful alot and even in her own spin offs is the unspoken leader. All she usually has is a melee weapon a bat or a mallet.
Sadly always is the butt end of a joke or punchline
Shredder can't even deal with 4 teenagers and their dad, i don't think he's in any position to question the quality of batman's rouge gallery.
I love how each of the prisoners are still themselves and haven’t changed in prison...still the distinctive characters they are
Harvey really do be wearin' a tailored *prison jumpsuit*
The most humorous part of the entire scene is having Joker, a normal human who has to use weapons to hurt people and is of lesser than average strength, in a straightjacket and armored cell, while Bane, who is naturally strong enough to bend steel and can probably smash through the glass, in a normal cell with everyone else.
Joker is overrated
There’s a reason for the Joker
He is unpredictable and with his insanity he is even more unpredictable, the Joker would tear down an entire city to get Batman’s attention and he is Batman’s most feared and respected enemy, and he also understands Bruce as well so that makes him even more dangerous
1:10-1:11 I love Tara strong

Shredder tolerating Harley is wild lmao
Why..
How accommodating the Arkham Staff are to leave the significant accessories and recognizable parts of each inmate's costumes for them to wear and use in their cells.
"Aah bunch of useless characters and Joker."
"No, if you want to destroy Justice League we need the most useless ones"
Shredder was the best character of that movie
Can we take a moment to appreciate how badass Harley was in this movie?
Her relationship with the Joker doesn't seem abusive
She's actually just crazy and having fun instead of obsessed and strung along
She sees a man like Shredder (who just killed his way into the asylum) and thinks to use him as a mirror
She corrects Joker when he calls her a nurse: she's a doctor with a degree
This might be my favorite version of her since Mad Love, honestly
@@Nikolaj11 it stopped being a tragedy when she starts willingly kill people without a thought
Freeze was the only one smart enough to say he wanted to be left out of it. Props to mr. Freeze. I applaud him

First time i see Mr freeze with a beard
Wow, TMNT does Harley better than most Batman content in the past two years!
Didn’t some people try to make her some empowerment symbol? She’s a joker fan girl and abuse victim.
Yup. It goes with trying to make her a complete victim these days and trying to excuse all her terrible crimes as "Joker manipulation" when in fact the extent of Joker's manipulation was making Harley fall in love with him, but SHE is the one ready to murder people and help mass murderers if it means someone loving her back.
I'm suprised he didn't gut her. Shredder doesn't like when someone makes mockery out of him.

*10 minutes later*
Freeze: IMMA POLAR BEAR!
Heather Feathersong nah, i literaly found out about the movie an hour sgo and was only watching a few clips
