Okay, WB Animation now make an animated show where Wonder Woman is the star so she can have the same impact as Batman and Superman in animation like in live-action Hollywood films
I would love an animated Wonder Woman tv show. Can't believe we never got one so far (yes, she was in JLA and JLU but she was part of an ensemble in those shows).
Somehow Batman TAS came out 32 years ago has better animation quality than modern DC animation. All these current DC animated shows and movies have that low budget feel to it that just stopped impress me like they used to like before.
@@Mrnook.1 You think it "looks great" because you have low standards, the animation is just "fine", not awful but also nothing to be impressed about, it's mostly just flat camera angle and basic action. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just go watch the Batman TAS Batman vs Clayface clip, the animation quality is still better than anything from DC nowadays.
The animation quality of the 1992 show is great but by the time we had The New Batman Adventures, the style had completely changed and wasn't nearly as smooth or detailed but we accepted it and we've been living with that ever since and that was not a big deal. This show has its own style and is doing its own thing and I can respect that. I like it for what it is. We've seen Batman the Brave and the Bold and that didn't have outstanding animation either but it did some very unique things with Batman. Great animation costs a lot of money and takes a lot of time. Part of why so many animated tv shows were cancelled in the 90s was that it cost more money to animate these shows than the networks were willing to pay and so they'd decide to show sports instead, for instance.
I don't get the hate, its just another iteration of the Penguin. I saw the old live action with the iconic voice and performance by Burges Meredith. Circus odd ball from the live movie by Danny devito. Mob boss. The fallen noble both in The Batman and the Tell Tale Games. A crook who owns a ice/penguin themed restaurant, or what ever building it was.

Love the new penguin. Heroes seriously need more female villains and they should be well written. There’s really not many female villains in pop culture and most of them are written as a joke while others work for idiots when they should be in charge like Shego from Kim Possible. Female Penguin is a very rare treasure and I hope she makes a significant return in season two

This reminds me so much of the animated series. I'm talking back the time when they had to have black paper to animate it so that they could save money on ink. You can see it in some of the fight choreography that they drew from the animated series possibly even as a tribute. I honestly believe that there's a lot of thought given to Kevin Conroy when they were animating this particular bit. I am okay with what I see so far
I don't know how to feel about this new show but the voice for Batman is fairly ok with me. I'll need some more time to watch and process to see if it lives up to Kevin Conroy's legacy.
It's definitely not Kevin. But then, Kevin wasn't Kevin straight out of the gate. It's interesting to see how forced he sounded in the earliest episodes. At least, compared to how utterly natural and effortless his delivery became. We'll see how this guy works out.
it should be remembered that in the 90s cartoon there was a lot of micromanagement surrounding Penguin due to the recent movie and it made those on the show resent the characters. Going this route feels like them doing it out of spite and I can appreciate spite, even if I feel they accidentally struck gold with a nasty but sympathetic villain who doesn’t fit in anywhere
Everything else about the show I like, just the female Penguin wasn't executed the best....It's not just the fact that it's a gender swap, she's almost taller then Batman and doesn't talk and act like the Penguin character.....I hope that changes as the series continues or they make a brother Penguin character who's voiced by Tom Kenny ❤
I thought it was done to make those watching the video think that she said a different, cooler swear word. Of course, that wouldn't work with those who saw the original cartoon. Oh well.
I haven’t seen the show and don’t know if it’s any good but why would they make Penguin a woman? It makes the character much less believable and just seems jarring, also she has no accent either…
To the people hatung on Fat Alfred when Alfred was first introduced in the 1940s he was a Fat private detecive and i dont think he was British, and he actually discovered that Bruce Wayne was Batman so Wayne hired him to keep the secret., a female version of Penguin was ok not that big a change for that character, Now the one change they goofed on was making Gordon a black man , in all honesty i dont think the 1940 society would except a high ranking black officer, remember what a hard time the,,blacks had in WW2 think it was Muskagee Airman or something like that. ,, Bullock always been a crook look at M.Keatons Batman Now for Batmans 1940 fighting style at that time he would not been able to travel to other countries to train in multiple martial arts so like the Batman of Earth 2 he could only train in Boxing , wrestling, Zorro style fencing, and possibly French Savate. He learned stealth from studing the methods used by burglars, and theatherical makeup techniques from University drama school. This is a great reboot to the DCAU
Sleeping gasses a guy then throws him into the ocean.
Batman has many female enemies they can find. I hope there is a back story for Oswalda we know nothing about?
Okay, WB Animation now make an animated show where Wonder Woman is the star so she can have the same impact as Batman and Superman in animation like in live-action Hollywood films
Honestly, I feel like Wonder Woman needs more moments
@@redshot5403 Couldn't agree more. Alas, that 1984 film squandered its moment rather spectacularly.
Green Lantern or Flash. Wonder Woman is dull

This animation looks great, dont know what your talking about
@@Mrnook.1 You think it "looks great" because you have low standards, the animation is just "fine", not awful but also nothing to be impressed about, it's mostly just flat camera angle and basic action. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just go watch the Batman TAS Batman vs Clayface clip, the animation quality is still better than anything from DC nowadays.
@@ryantheanimator1156Basic ass nostalgic turd talk. Clearly, you have no life and you're just looking for ways to bitch about things.
That was a pretty epic battle honestly
It really looks like the 90s show
3:33 Looks like The Penguin is now a caged bird for Arkham Asylum (or Blackgate).
I don't get the hate, its just another iteration of the Penguin.

Don’t forget the upcoming creature commandos tv show

How?
Taking gender out of the equation here, what makes this a bad penguin?
@@itsgab5745 First of all gender is important because that's a known trait of the character and secondly this penguin is a tall brute instead of being short. Also she speaks normally instead of having either a british accent or talking like a gentleman
I really like how the hits feel like they have impact
Batman’s gloves are a bit too short honestly.
It's based on the original look for Batman in the earliest comics, back in 1939. I kinda dig it.
@@rottensquid Oh, thanks!
He had purple gloves though
Love the new penguin. Heroes seriously need more female villains and they should be well written. There’s really not many female villains in pop culture and most of them are written as a joke while others work for idiots when they should be in charge like Shego from Kim Possible. Female Penguin is a very rare treasure and I hope she makes a significant return in season two
Batman had tons they could use, female villains.
It also funny the fact they made her the tallest person in the room when usually penguin is the shortest
Bullock is dirty in this world?
Yes and half of Gotham P.D
@@raulbetancourt5795no surprise lol only those who work with Gordon personally are the only good cops
Eh, he's like fifty-fifty in others. Look at Arkham Origins the season two of the Telltale series.
In all of the multivere this version of bullock has to be the worst one yet except for the in the batman animated series and the one in gotham and I'm really taking about the live action series that was once in Fox you know what I mean.

Penguin is not iconic dude he's the most forgettable guy ever
@@JoelMcCary are you serious, So you are saying that you remember characters like Hugo Strange, Clock King, Polka-Dot Man and ALL of those more forgettable villains….MORE THAN THE PENGUIN, ONE OF BATMAN’S MOST WELL KNOWN AND HEAVILY USED VILLAINS
Yes! We need a character actress to voice act her. Maybe a grand dame, Ursula type vibe.

@@JoelMcCary Nah, you are stupid dude
This is a Bold Departure.
not for me,tnx anyway.

Oh well.
3:06 clever girl.
I haven’t seen the show and don’t know if it’s any good but why would they make Penguin a woman? It makes the character much less believable and just seems jarring, also she has no accent either…
Believe me, this Penguin is Devito levels of evil. Reminded me a lot of his Penguin, actually.
To the people hatung on Fat Alfred when Alfred was first introduced in the 1940s he was a Fat private detecive and i dont think he was British, and he actually discovered that Bruce Wayne was Batman so Wayne hired him to keep the secret., a female version of Penguin was ok not that big a change for that character, Now the one change they goofed on was making Gordon a black man , in all honesty i dont think the 1940 society would except a high ranking black officer, remember what a hard time the,,blacks had in WW2 think it was Muskagee Airman or something like that. ,, Bullock always been a crook look at M.Keatons Batman
Now for Batmans 1940 fighting style at that time he would not been able to travel to other countries to train in multiple martial arts so like the Batman of Earth 2 he could only train in Boxing , wrestling, Zorro style fencing, and possibly French Savate. He learned stealth from studing the methods used by burglars, and theatherical makeup techniques from University drama school. His Batmobile needs to be alittle less high tech and not sure he would have thought to make a submarine., also if your only going to fight crime in Gotham city dont see the need for a Batplane .
I think hollywood will never learn its lesson.
Why?
@@kaijureaper61 because gender bending a character isn't gonna make the show better. "Batman doesn't have any good villians" is what the writers of the show said.
This didn't stop the show from doing well
