Hi Jami. Regarding the feeders. Rather than cement the legs into the ground, what about counter sinking steel tubes of a larger diameter than the feeder legs so they can slot in and out when needed? Anyway, I love you all and continued prayers for our beloved VooDoo and Ernie. 👋🇬🇧❤ xxx
Exactly Dee: Lester & Jami, this is what you really need to consider. So that the legs of the feeders slip into the pipes which are embedded in the concrete. That way the feeders can be lifted straight up and out of the pipes and can be cleaned. Then those feeders are not permanently secured in the concrete. ****** Longhorn Lester
I am glad that up till now, no one got hurt, when the feeders fell over. If an animal was in the wrong place at the time those feeders fell, it could injure, or even kill a fur baby. Your garden looks wonderful. I know the feeders for the hay can be tied in place by sticking a t post at either end and zip tie the posts to the feeders. Cogg Hill had the same issue with hay feeders at their place. Two t post per feed station. You can fasten them to the t post with the hay string too. Know that’s better than having them knocked down. Ya pig Trudy is a major destructor. But we all love her. ❤She’ll keep on trying, it’s what they do.
That is a great Idea I had thought bungee cords or something, I just don't think concreting them in is a good idea. On another channel I saw a goat get her head stuck under one of these they had it tied down so untied it and she got out (or something like that).

The drama just happens. You didn’t cause the spillway to almost collapse and lose your pond. You didn’t make voodoo get injured. You didn’t make Ernie and Okey ill. And then there was the whole Storm pregnant or not pregnant. Floods and much I haven’t thought of. . You had the ABCs and the double D invade your area so it’s not like you create the drama that’s in your life. It’s just your life and I’m glad to be coming along watching

Just adding in all the babies born and the worries along with all the storms and trees falling, the big Fire behind LHL, and the Goats escaping at front gate, and all the Floods! The Drama keeps coming to them but they take it in stride and keep their Faith, Love, happiness, and Positivity in the Lord, each other, and the animals! If you can't get more gravel in before the rain, round up some old fence posts, like from where you feed the wild kittens, and place them where gravel would go. Anything to deflect the water and spread it over a larger area. Even laying plastic or garden cloth would help.

Pig Trudy a new wrecking ball created when she decided she can't reach into the new feed bins so she figures best thing to turn them on their sides, which don't help one bit. Jami...You should check out some Rain Chains in addition to the Gutter they have beautiful ones and will help direct water flow from your drain where you can use the water collected in the rain catch bottom...They have so many different kind it would be difficult to choose!

Jami, you can investigate the French drain ... and always install it by pulling back the rock, install the drain tile and then pull the rock back over top.
Good Morning beautiful Jami 🌻. Drama? It's called LIFE. I woke up Monday with a horrible toothache, got an emergency appt with the intention of a quick extraction and be done. 😮Noooo. A full on oral surgery That took over an hour😢. My tooth grinding, jaw clenching self snapped a bridge in half and broke two roots. Bone grafts and all. So two days off work and my stitches stay in until October 2! Finally went to work yesterday and the guys said "You're always dramatic" 😂 I thought of you, Instantly, with your "Boring video" and had to laugh. My oral stuff wasn't near as bad as yours, but HOLY SHITAKE MUSHROOMS. I Don't want to ever feel the pain you had. I wish you a great day. Love ya'll from St Louis.
Hope you're feeling better. I was supposed to be moving house today but on Monday I fell on to my face on to a concrete floor . I have a wonderful black eye and very sore knee and arm as well as face. So I've had to spend my days in bed watching the Morrow family. So I guess it could be worse.

Drama to me, is when people don’t take accountability for their own behavior and actions. When everything is someone else’s fault, because you’re the one creating it. In my time of being a follower, this doesn’t describe y’all whatsoever. The things that happen with you, are simply called LIFE. Knowing your future plans for the JL property I can't imagine how hard it would be for you to have to leave all the beauty you created behind. Watching the horses in the pond is the most peaceful image. I know why you bought JL but as far as beauty it can't hold a candle to LHL. I'd love to hear your thoughts on a move in the future.
Jami, on a metal roof you can use large pvc pipe capped on one end and make a single cut length wise all the way down your pipe. Slide it over your metal then use metal strapping to hold it to the roof. Take a blur barrell and put it under the open end. It could work until you can get an appointment.
Jamie you are amazing in a lot of ways but right now I am thinking about all the projects you can get accomplished in a days time and by yourself. AMAZING!! Oh and by the way you should have left the goat yard to Lester, he needed a project too. Please take care of yourself lifting all those heavy bags.
Jami, it would be "bester" to get a truck load of rock delivered and dumped right next to your project area. You would have better control if you shovel it into place and it would be a lot easier than carrying those bags. Not to mention more cost effective after all said and done. Just a suggestion. Careful putting rock all the way through the garden bed because it will get very hot in the summer and affect your plants Jami but at the back is a good idea until you get the gutters done and that’s won’t get too much sun on them there. 😊

Trudy is the princess of the paddock. I’m sure with some eng, you’ll fig a way to keep the troughs down without the ability to exchange for ruined feeders. Maybe metal loops into the concrete and chains on the feeders?
Maybe you can talk to Jason at Cog Hill. I think before they had the barn built when they used feeders like they he put in a post & zipped tied or something the feeder to the post. It worked wonderfully. I hope you get that figured out. The yard looks great!
Yeah back in the day I used to hear that you had to have compatible trees to pollinate. But to my surprise five years ago when I started growing citrus on my patio, I found self pollinating trees! And they have done very well. But I didn't know they were self pollinating until I was taking a small paintbrush when it bloomed and pollen the trees with a paintbrush instead of the bees. And I went to my surprise with my seedless tangerines came out full of seeds and I contacted the company they said well you Musta had a tree with seeds next to it because these are self pollinating they don't need to have other trees pollinate them shocking!

If you can't get more gravel in before the rain, round up some old fence posts, like from where you feed the wild kittens, and place them where gravel would go. Anything to deflect the water and spread it over a larger area. Even laying plastic or garden cloth would help.

What were the flowers called that you mentioned they are the most beautiful. Never seen anything like those before here. They sure were pretty. Pig Trudy a new wrecking ball created when she decided she can't reach into the new feed bins so she figures best thing to turn them on their sides, which don't help one bit. Jami...You should check out some Rain Chains in addition to the Gutter they have beautiful ones and will help direct water flow from your drain where you can use the water collected in the rain catch bottom...They have so many different kind it would be difficult to choose!

Jami, you can investigate the French drain ... and always install it by pulling back the rock, install the drain tile and then pull the rock back over top.
Good Morning beautiful Jami 🌻. Drama? It's called LIFE. I woke up Monday with a horrible toothache, got an emergency appt with the intention of a quick extraction and be done. 😮Noooo. A full on oral surgery That took over an hour😢. My tooth grinding, jaw clenching self snapped a bridge in half and broke two roots. Bone grafts and all. So two days off work and my stitches stay in until October 2! Finally went to work yesterday and the guys said "You're always dramatic" 😂 I thought of you, Instantly, with your "Boring video" and had to laugh. My oral stuff wasn't near as bad as yours, but HOLY SHITAKE MUSHROOMS. I Don't want to ever feel the pain you had.

Hope you're feeling better. I was supposed to be moving house today but on Monday I fell on to my face on to a concrete floor . I have a wonderful black eye and very sore knee and arm as well as face. So I've had to spend my days in bed watching the Morrow family. So I guess it could be worse.

Knowing your future plans for the JL property I can't imagine how hard it would be for you to have to leave all the beauty you created behind. Watching the horses in the pond is the most peaceful image. I know why you bought JL but as far as beauty it can't hold a candle to LHL. I'd love to hear your thoughts on a move in the future.

Jami, on a metal roof you can use large pvc pipe capped on one end and make a single cut length wise all the way down your pipe. Slide it over your metal then use metal strapping to hold it to the roof. Take a blur barrell and put it under the open end. It could work until you can get an appointment.
Jamie you are amazing in a lot of ways but right now I am thinking about all the projects you can get accomplished in a days time and by yourself. AMAZING!! Oh and by the way you should have left the goat yard to Lester, he needed a project too. Please take care of yourself lifting all those heavy bags.
Jami, it would be "bester" to get a truck load of rock delivered and dumped right next to your project area. You would have better control if you shovel it into place and it would be a lot easier than carrying those bags. Not to mention more cost effective after all said and done. Just a suggestion.

Careful putting rock all the way through the garden bed because it will get very hot in the summer and affect your plants Jami but at the back is a good idea until you get the gutters done and that’s won’t get too much sun on them there. 😊

WELL they have 3 properties with over 100 babies to take care of.
This kind of thing happens when you have as many babies.
It's not that they have too many to take care of.

Trudy is the princess of the paddock. I’m sure with some eng, you’ll fig a way to keep the troughs down without the ability to exchange for ruined feeders. Maybe metal loops into the concrete and chains on the feeders?
Maybe you can talk to Jason at Cog Hill. I think before they had the barn built when they used feeders like they he put in a post & zipped tied or something the feeder to the post. It worked wonderfully. I hope you get that figured out. The yard looks great!

Yeah back in the day I used to hear that you had to have compatible trees to pollinate. But to my surprise five years ago when I started growing citrus on my patio, I found self pollinating trees! And they have done very well. But I didn't know they were self pollinating until I was taking a small paintbrush when it bloomed and pollen the trees with a paintbrush instead of the bees. And I went to my surprise with my seedless tangerines came out full of seeds and I contacted the company they said well you Musta had a tree with seeds next to it because these are self pollinating they don't need to have other trees pollinate them shocking!
