There's only a few goons who had CTE where fighting is blamed but they don't take into account hard hits to the head that actually cause concussions or how they played with concussions that didn't heal. Most of the fighters aren't getting concussions from the actual fights is what I'm getting at
What do you mean, the NHL dark side?? This is hockey and how it’s played……and what sort of hockey fan calls a hockey game a “match”. Not all hits were cheap shots and some were retribution to cheap shots.
Chytle should really take the 2024-2025 season off to heal his brain. He's had too many concussions and every time he comes back he gets another one. He's a good player but is going to have a short career because of them
Hi Isabell, I will take a look at the SHL and see what's available and out there for injuries. Our audience is largely NHL mostly in the US and Canada but I will look into this as well ! Thanks for the suggestions !
Share your thoughts in the comments? Okay...Most of these were clean hits. I never made it to the bigs but did play pro hockey. I'm a big guy (6'7" 250) I never fought in all my years of playing. I let guys punch me in the helmet with their bare hands. It hurt them more than it hurt me, AND we got powerplays out of it. If somebody really pissed me off I would barrel into them with all my speed and weight and take them out of the game. Would you rather get hit in the helmet by a bare fist or get hit by a 25mph 250lb missile? To me it was simple physics. I was mean, not dirty. Over time I gained a reputation and everyone wanted to kill me....Didn't bother me a bit. Now that I am 60 I almost cry when I get a sliver. I've turned into a wimp!
Thanks for sharing, hockey has definitely changed dramatically through the years, from game, to rule changes, injuries and more, it is a high risk sport for the toughest for sure. Wishing you the best !
you missed a bunch of hits. like torey krug in the stanley cup final against the blues. another for example the montreal playoff game where montreal went for a empty net goal and mark sheifele levels jake evans. I mean come on man if ur gonna do hits like that do better
Thanks for your comments but it's impossible to put all the remarkable hits in one ten minute video. There's more to come, so stay tuned... Thanks for watching
Did ovi actually get a boarding for that hit? If so thats wild. They were nowhere near the boards. Sure marchand slid 15 feet into the boards but thats weak Read a comment. Said it wasnt a penalty. Pretty sure ai was involved with this video
When they tried to say that player intentionally tried to cut the other player's neck with his skate they said "player don't fly in the air like that" I said"You've never played hockey I guess..."
I remember Keegan Kolesar’s hit on Tkachuk which broke Matthew’s sternum. Kolesar started moving at Tkachuk before he had possession of the puck. Should have been a charging call for that hit. Such a dick move to deliberately injure a star forward to give your team the upper hand in a cup finals game.
I get the biggest kick out of cheap shot Marchand. He made it clear he wouldn't allow any offense against his captain? Yea, he (yet again) went after one of the smaller players, who never fights. I wonder if Licker would've allowed that hit if it was Reaves who delivered it?
This was a bit of a historical recap, sorry you did not like it, but it's all part of NHL history. Check out our other videos and titles. Thanks for watching.
Half these aren’t dirty hits
Yes they are🇨🇦
@@christinebaileysmith9876no they aren't 😐
@@christinebaileysmith9876you crazy
You crazy 😦
@@natewinsor you think those are dirty?
Yep... a lot of clean hits.
The Ovi hit on Marchand was clean and no penalty
Also, Marchand was not motionless for even a couple of seconds
@@dannymacdougall366 yeah he should have showed Marchand hit on Ovi right before it
How did o V get boarding from a hit 25 feet from the boards
Kadri played on tamba series the last two games i think and even scored on ot in game 4
Dirty hits ???? You must be a curling fan .
The cross check to the head the other night by Leafs defenseman to Sens player after empty net goal was cheap & dirty should get big suspension
It shouldn’t have
I miss the old hockey with enforcers left and right
Yeah but the leage don't like it
@@DeerHunterDanOfficialthe players brains don’t like it
you ever watch goon

I guess you can talk to the NHL about that....
You even said in the video they were clean hits, I must have looked at the title of the video 6 times just to make sure I didn't misread it.
When Reeves hit Wilson, I don't call it dirty, I call it payback for the dirty hits Wilson has done. Nope that one don't even make me feel sad.
The hit on Kadri did NOT sideline him for the rest of the playoffs. He came back in The Finals and scored the Game 4 OT winner...
What do you mean, the NHL dark side?? This is hockey and how it’s played……and what sort of hockey fan calls a hockey game a “match”. Not all hits were cheap shots and some were retribution to cheap shots.
This guy. Jee wiz.
Bro boarding on is crazy when he hit him away from the boards and is chillin on the bench
Kucherov, a vulnerable player😂😂😂
I get the sense that the creator of this video is new to hockey seeing as how more than half these hits were clean hits.
No I'm not new to hockey. These are all dirty hits from full NHL games.
@@hockeystop I’ll have to kindly and simply disagree with you.

I like how it says hits but there’s fights in this
Can you do a video about injuries in SHL insted of NHL
Hi Isabell, I will take a look at the SHL and see what's available and out there for injuries. Our audience is largely NHL mostly in the US and Canada but I will look into this as well ! Thanks for the suggestions !
I was at that game 3 western conference finals

Who was Toe Domi fighting? the way he was grinning I thought he was playing around until those wold swings came out.
I like fights for the most part but both players should know what they are getting themselves into besides the emotional stuff.
Scott Stevens on Eric Lindros.
A lot of cleans here unfortunately there are a lot of dirty hits for you and hopefully less creative commentary.
Take it back to the mid 80's/90's then you'll see some DIRTY hits!!
I absolutely agree, more to come !! Thanks for the great suggestion !
Of all the dirty crap Matthew Tkachuk has done throughout his career, he deserved that ruptured sternum injury from Keegan Kolesar
🙏 Yes ...
Top and first comment. That was a nice hit. Always love videos like this.

I enjoyed watching this video but to call someone of these dirty is bordering on defamation of character lol
Defamation of character or is that Definition of character?
Ever and specially these years do not mean the same thing
Lilliberg plays for the lightning, not Anaheim
These clips are from 2018-2024 and were actual clips and games as reported by the NHL and may have been prior to him playing for the lightning.
most of these arent dirty
These are direct from the games...as reported as "dirty hits" . Thanks for commenting.
You have obviously decided that reality is not what you are going for. Good luck in your future endeavors.
