Delightful story, characters come to life and become as friends. I’ve been temporarily disabled, and have had three surgeries in the past year and a half, with one to go. Discovery of RUclips audiobooks has saved me as I go about healing and therapy. Instead of frustration, I find peace and joy as I’m limited physically with needlework and handcrafts now. Your stories are interesting and entertaining as well as thought provoking. Thank you so much for a sweet romance without the prurient twist found in many others. Thank you!
I have had a similar experience with health issues and completely agree with you about the quality and availability of RUclips audiobooks, such as this. May God Bless you with a full recovery 🙏🏽
Yes Christine, this is a real gift! Therapy on many levels, helping strangers, I am so thankful. I LOVE these stories that help me get through hard days and rough nights.
I just finished listening, and I thoroughly enjoyed the book! The story was so sweet and entertaining, and the narrator did a great job! I will be listening to the next book immediately.
I read wide a variety of books. I just found these and was surprised to find that love them! These are definitely not my normal reads, but I've downloaded the lot of them. Thank you for opening a new world!
I'm so happy to hear that! There was a time when I hadn't read any Regency books either (apart from Jane Austen). It was such a wonderful discovery for me.
Thank you for uploading. I've been looking for a good author of period romance books, but also clean and intelligent. This checked all the boxes and was so enjoyable. I'll be ordering some of your books!
So, so, so, so, so....... lovely, entrancing, heartwarming, captivating. The Narrator got the hero's voice so splendidly (for the 2nd time). Some amusing bits here and there. I loved it when she said "would you like to sit down", he said "I would like to ....."!! What a reply.

I loved this book the first time I read it! But now listening to it, it is such a great treat! Thank you for sharing it with us here on RUclips. I am so looking for to listening to the rest of the series, as I have already read & enjoyed them. 💕📚
No, unfortunately. She married under a cloud of disgrace because they eloped, and you see her again in the sequel. But then again, she really didn't want to be redeemed. I think only in Philippa Holds Court. I don't think she's in The Sport of Matchmaking.
Loving your books. There was one where I was like "eh", but I am very glad I tried your other books. Well, written, lots of atmosphere and more importantly, clean. The narrator is excellent too, but she does mispronounce words like phaeton. ("feeton" instead of fey-ton)
If you scroll through my audiobooks, search for Philippa Holds Court (she's wearing a pink dress on the cover) and that's book 2. Book 3 is The Sport of Matchmaking (she's wearing a purple dress). Hope you like them!
It is a contradiction, she is afraid of her reputation at the end of the story yet her reputation is supposed to completely be damaged, so much so that she feels she can't marry the man she loves. The whole thing is ridiculous. She sounds like she's insane when she expresses her reasons for why she doesn't want to marry him.
Ms Goutet - which is your favorite Heyer? I find Fridays Child very funny and The Grand Sophie is perfection (except the small bit the is anti semitic!). But i also love Venetia and Sylvester. 😊
Very hard to choose as you know. The Grand Sophy, Frederica, The Nonesuch, The Toll Gate, The Unknown Ajax, The Masqueraders, Arabella - these are some of the ones I usually recommend.
I feel anger in the fact that men in this society, even among friends and at friend’s homes, are not trustworthy with women. And that young women are just as at danger as they are dangerous to decente men. Disgusted that such society settled the rules is civilized society everywhere they arrived.
I know. Me too. I don't always hide the cruel realities of the world in my books, but I do try to bring hope and good resolution despite it all. I think hope is what we all need.
I bought this, and it's really good. I haven't finished it yet because I got mad with our girl. It's ok. When I'm into a book, and I get mad at the main character, just give me three weeks 🥹 I think it's been three weeks 🥹
Love these romance novels without the scenes of uncomfortable acts.
I like that these are clean stories and enjoyable to listen too. I can have them playing without having to worry about others hearing❤

I love this period of books, the men were true gentlemen
And ladies were ladies.😊
Enjoying your novels. Clean and the main characters have integrity and are honest with their struggles.

I just finished listening, and I thoroughly enjoyed the book! The story was so sweet and entertaining, and the narrator did a great job! I will be listening to the next book immediately.
I accidentally listened to the 2nd book first... I'm excited to see how such a loving couple came to be ❤❤❤
Ha ha - Lucius had a BIG learning curve.
Second book? What's it's title, please? Thank you!
Thank you for writing and sharing clean novels!

Thank you for offering this book. About halfway through and it has been so nice not to need to mute the book while my two boys are playing nearby
This discretion is important to me too. :)
Absolutely.
Absolutely agree! I’d like to listen to these while I’m working
Clean and most importantly not boring

April 24, my 2nd “reading” , I Loved it just as much as the first time❤
Ive listened to this story a few times now. What happened to Rebecca. Does she have her own story. I was hopeful for her 😢
No, unfortunately. She married under a cloud of disgrace because they eloped, and you see her again in the sequel. But then again, she really didn't want to be redeemed. I think only in Philippa Holds Court. I don't think she's in The Sport of Matchmaking.
That was just my cup of tea, Thank You Jennie
Great story, but I'm left in suspense about what happened to the Earl and the Heiress?!!!
Wonderful!
Loved it!
Loving your books. There was one where I was like "eh", but I am very glad I tried your other books. Well, written, lots of atmosphere and more importantly, clean.
The narrator is excellent too, but she does mispronounce words like phaeton. ("feeton" instead of fey-ton)

just one correction coming from the village of Clavering the "a" is pronounced "ai" ... otherwise beautifully narrated
Interesting! Thanks for the tip.

And A Civil Contract, a tender heart touching story.

Nice story but too many "Celina " instead of pronouns.
