These are quite beautiful, couldn’t decide which one I wanted so I got one of each. Thanks for your demonstration and putting together some kits for us.
I never thought to use striped fabric because of the difficulty in piecing it to look non wonky Now im off to the quilt shop to buy some and eager to start this.
So always a great day when I see a new video from you. His will definitely be on my to do list, after I’ve quilted my vintage windmills quilt. Love your patterns. You’re instructions are amazing. Thankyou.
I love the fussy cutting for the black and white stripe star. I don't know anyone who needs a tree skirt, but the star hexies would be great placemats or trivets.
Always love a new tutorial. I always love your patterns and have made soooo many if them. Will definitely be buying this one on my next round of purchases. 👍
@@kristamoser I could not wait for the FB quilt along. What a great pattern. You went through the trouble to make sure that all the seams nested. I am love with the skirt. All I need to do is quilt it. I am giving it to my step grandson who just bought a new house.
I'm new to quilting but only have a tiny lounge. I wish there were a smaller size. However this looks super fun. I'm not sure how I would make it smaller and get the numbers right 🤔😑
It it a true 1/4" seam. But you will want to do the sewing test to make sure you have good markings for that. Sew two 2 1/2" strips together and press the seam out flat. Then measure across the strip set, it should measure 4 1/2" across and if it doesn't, you know you need to make adjustments.
It really depends of what pattern you are wanting to make! Some patterns have you cutting diamonds, triangles and hexagons... or another series of shapes that can all be cut from my ruler. I'm not super familiar with the Omnigrid diamond, but I think it only cuts diamonds. Is that right?
Iam very excited to make this Christmas tree skirt . I just ordered my PDF pattern and gathering up my material . Couple of questions. Does the fabric requirement allow for starching the fabric ? Will the tutorial videos be on you tube also ?
The fabric requirements have at least 2"-3" extra inches for each of them, will that be enough for starching? The tutorial videos will only be in the private FB group because there is no way to limit them to just those who bought the pattern on RUclips.
There is a gal on RUclips that showed how to diminish the size by I think 25% and then by 30%... I can not remember her name, but I bet you could search for her video and see how she did it!
For the lesser of us who can’t even imagine what you see I stand amazed❤
Awww!! Wow that is such high praise! Thank you Nora!

That would be very very cool!!
I love the idea of using stripes to add more complexity to the design. ❤
Stripes make everything better! I just love the affect they create.

It makes all the difference in the final outcome! I figure I can make all the mistakes so you guys don't have to :)

I bought a kit. I’ll have to work on it off season though since it’s for me
Beautiful!

I love this Krista! A combination of the two classes you recently taught in Grand Island, Nebraska 😊
Some of the same concepts for sure... plus a couple more :)

Just bought the black and gold combo.
You are going to love it Dorothy!!
I love this pattern and ordered the red and green version with the pattern. 😀
Question though…does the kit include backing?
@@sallyharris1093 It does not include backing... but it does include the binding!
Thank you Sally!

Hi Krista! Love your tutorials! I have Omni grid diamond rulers, are they ok to use for your patterns?

This is stunning! Is there instructions for different sizes or only the 48 X56?
It is just this size, but you could add a border to make it bigger! I think making it smaller would require reconfiguring the numbers.
Wow!
Is it easy to modify this tree skirt to be a table topper?
It sure is! Make the whole thing up, finish the last seam and don't cut the center out!
Is the plain gold fabric also quilting cotton? I would like to find some of that for another pattern of yours
It sure is! I have used it in quite a few other quilts and it is very easy to work with.
I think I'd need it just the size of the inner hexis. If that can be figured out do let us know please.

WOW! Sew Cute!
Thank you Ada!!
No Y seams 😮
NONE!!! Isn't that awesome?!
