This is from an article on this topic:
However, The Counter and other outlets have reported that Monsanto helped ghostwrite studies that defended the product’s health impacts, and kept files on journalists and lawmakers in an attempt to influence both reportage and regulation of the chemical. Additionally, recent commentary from researchers at the Institute of Cancer Research at the Medical University of Vienna in Austria indicates most of the corporate-backed safety studies cited by Bayer relied on flawed and outdated science.
“Despite numerous legal verdicts within the United States ruling that Roundup caused cancer in U.S. users of the product, Bayer-which inherited tens of thousands of lawsuits associated with the product when it acquired Monsanto-maintains that scientists have determined glyphosate is safe for human use.

@@botsareeverywhere GMO corn can't reproduce itself, GMO corn is designed to withstamd glifosate which is cancerous and kills everything it touches as in plants/weeds, so while the corn isn't necesarily bad the chemicals its sprayed with are thus making it cancerous, also the land which is used for this GMO will not grow anything else afterwards because of glifosate and its effect. As a corn/wheat farmer in Mexico I am proud of the ban, also since it can't reproduce you must buy from the only one that makes this corn and the glifosate, Monsanto.

@@botsareeverywhere GMO seeds cannot reproduce, a seed when you plant it , the fruits from that seeds need to have the ability to produce a new seed which can produce a better plant
Since GMO seeds are disabled from reproducing this leads farmers to be enslaved and controlled by this companies producing GMOS
