  • Just made a custom stand for a small refrigerator that my parents keep in their store in Helen, GA. This video chronicles a majority of the process.

Awesome job. I’m here cause my old man called me to do him a fridge stand . This model seems perfect. He is tired getting down and filling the fridge up. Thanks brother

Nice job Michael. You have lucky parents! Just a few quick suggestions. Try not to work on the floor, bring your work up to you on a table, your back & knees will thank you when you're older. And... some nice industrial wheels (with locks of course) would add a nice modern touch to it and give your parents access to the back if things fall behind it as well as giving them the ability to move it around & position the unit in the perfect spot. Lastly, a mini light that triggers on when they open the door will brighten up the dark interior and add bling and wow factor too boot! Just my 2 cents. Keep up the good work!

Good vid, but watching ya paint, no explanation of step by step. Was it heat resistant stain, as fridges get hot??? Good work

It wasn't heat resistant or anything special. I've found that, as long as you give the furniture a couple coats of varnish or polyurethane (whether brushed on or from a spray can) it does a good job protecting the wood from getting heat or cold damage. Thanks for the question, Adrian!

Would be great if you listed dimensions somewhere...

No problem! It's 24" wide by 34" tall (not including the top bumpers to help keep the fridge from shifting left and right, those are 4" tall). The depth is also 24". Each 2" diameter dowel section, used for the legs, is 3" tall (meaning that the actual box dimensions, excluding the legs, are 24" x 24" x 31").

What type of tool were you using beginning at the 6:20 mark?

It's called a Spring Tools 32R23-1 Nail Set. I bought it from amazon for about $12 and it has more fine control than a hammer.
