Good afternoon, Ed! What a well put together video. You give us a well-rounded view of your life living up in the mountains of Alaska. I thank you for that. It helps me to miss Alaska less seeing the mountains I love so much. It is impressive how handy you are on so many levels. Taking impeccable care of all you have to make a good life, a life that suits you well. Your home is well put together and well maintained. It's the only way to be as I see it. A place for everything and everything in its place. Ed, enjoy the remainder of your time home. It appears you've done as much as you can with the weather you're having at this time. Till next time, be well and stay safe.
Ed. Gidday from the New Zealand back country. Yes for lifting jobs the Skycrane is a beast. I flew them for 30 years. One load would give you enough gas & grub for a couple of years. Cheers
Congratulation on the new sled I am thinking that unless someone is as handy as you, he should’ve live that far off grid. Still the best view, beautiful
Wow Ed, great machine. Certainly will do the job transporting your building supplies. Saw the delivery and saw 💲💲💲. You can do any thing and cooking too. Great video. Won't you be home for Christmas? Stay safe.. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Congratulations on your new Ski-doo. Looks like a really nice one. In Canada where I live, I don’t hear the term snow machines….they’re all ski-doos! A wonderful invention by JA Bombardier in 1956, Bombardier HQ still in Quebec. Good thing you can buy your second Ski-doo in the States as they are manufactured there as well as Canada, Mexico and a few other countries. That way you might escape the crazy unfriendly tariff your “Pres to be” wants to slap on our stuff.
Our first snowmobile was a 1967 Arctic Cat Panther. It had a 14 hp Hearth engine. We used it for a Beaver trapping line. We would travel on a abandoned Rail Road bed that ran along the Chippewa River in Wisconsin. My dad and I and very often 6 or 7 beaver in the fiberglass sled we pulled behind. It truly was a work horse for only being a 14hp! Sure wasnt anything close to todays machines but it beat the hell out of walking!
That's one beautiful heavy duty snow machine! Soon you can take us along on your next adventure! You sure do meticulous work repairing all of your tools and machines! Another great video! Looking forward to seeing the next one!
Hello from Michigan. Love a man that loves to cook. Or at least looks like he loves to. Love the new ride. Missed you, you been working a lot? Take care, stay safe and God bless.
Hello from a warm Farmers Branch. Thanks for the video! Have been watching the weather and temps in Talkeetna and been surprised at how much warmer it has been than Willow. I figured it would be a problem but hope you can get a few things done before you head back to the ship. Enjoy that new machine. :)
Love the music…cool. Blues are my favorite. I’m always happy to see a new video. Hey…I was thinking about you the other day. I watched a very good video by a Geologist. He was explaining the Landslides/Mudslides/Rock slides that happened in E Tennessee and Carolina. It’s heartbreaking what those people went through, and still going through. Anyway, I wondered if you think about that? Rock slides? Idk….i think of where you’re putting the Sauna….on the edge of a cliff! 🤣
I'm so glad you got your new snow machine. It looks like a hoss!! Hopefully you will get some major snow soon. I was wondering about the certificate on the wall. It is hard for me to tell what it is for. I can see United States something. Is it military? Great video!!
That’s a nice looking snow machine. And, it’s a big boy! You should have many years of good work out of it. Glad you had a contingency plan to get it to the cabin since the weather won’t cooperate. Cabin looks cozy and the sour dough english muffins look yummy. Btw - the hula skirt is put away and I broke out the ski pants in an attempt to get the weather Gods to dump some snow on your mountain. Hope this helps! Take care.
Only need to save another $29,999,999 and it’s all mine. But then I need $4000 an hour to fly it and hire a co-pilot and crew chief too. Co pilot is 75-150k and crew chief 50-70k. By the year 2375 I should be set financially at my current earnings….
Congrats on the new sled, Ed! Wow, we were just watching you sledding on 12" thick lake. Now, we were cringing as you're navigating over slushy areas. When are ya getting some snow to use that beast? As always, take care and God bless. 🇺🇸
"the frank Frank" Leather care- my friend is an leather expert. He creates all kind of leather stuff not clothes but belts and off course gun tools like you wear. Only of the best and cheapest leather care is "Body lotion" I take a hand full in the hand and giv it to my bealts. Leather is like skin. It needs natural softener not allways fat like for water proving in boots. (Army) Body lotion keeps it flexibel and it does not get dry and later broken. The frank Frank of the video :-)
I don't know anything about snow mobiles, all I can say is that the new one is a beauty. Besides that, I just enjoy that remote cabin in the middle of nowhere. There's never a bad video. BTW, no Christmas tree? ....just been curious...lol Thank you for another awesome video, take care.
Wow…we are colder here in Lower Michigan than you are in Alaska! It never reached 20 degrees. It hovered around 16-19 degrees…We got a dusting of snow, but that’s that. It’s freezing here today! 🤣🤣
If I may suggest, just a suggestion to film more landscapes scenes using that music you have used filming your kitchen. Sunset, sunrise, mountains etc.. decision is totally up to you.
I know what you mean about the weather. I'm in MI. & the last 5 years has been dicey. Should be ice fishing and it will be 45 degrees this next Monday. And right now it's Friday and it's 14 degrees. 😩
The pilot was just trying to kick the sling load rope between his skis. If he landed on it that would be a problem. He did an excellent job putting that rope where it needed to go.
Sure is a awesome looking machine Ed that wide trackk should give you some good traction. To bad you had to have it airlifted im sure that wasent cheap.
Great video Ed. A little bit of everything. Your cabin looks very cozy 😊 thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
thank you for sharing, nice cabin

You have some really cool things. The honey dispenser, that Viking long ship, the shield, old rifle. I need to step it up
LOVE the new machine!!
Them biscuits look pretty tasty! Will have to make them soon now 😋

Merry Christmas to you also!

Ski-Doo makes some good stuff. I have a Polaris and the fit and finish isn’t close.
Great new work horse sled!enjoy the ride.🥰🇨🇦🥰

14 horsepower. 🤣 The Ski-Doo turbo has 180 horsepower!
Wish I could live like you do.
Beautiful Cabin Absolutely 😊

Awesome new machine!!
Looks like it is going to be a great work horse!
Thanks. It is a big improvement in power over the Tundra. But I’ll still miss the Tundra. That machine can do things this one will struggle with.

I appreciate the well wishes. The new machine should be a good one for the rest of the season.
I've been waiting for these ones! :D Good to hear from you!
🇫🇮 Hope to show some real winter videos when I return from work.
Great addition Ed.. that’s gonna help with getting material for your new workshop.
It'll definitely make it easier to move some of the heavier stuff.
Got your new acurite set up also, you have all new toys! You could make me breakfast anytime, it looks fantastic. Stay outta that overflow Ed.
Nice new snow machine!
Sure is!
Wow! That's crazy how little snow you have this time of year hopefully you'll get some soon to enjoy your new machine and can stop trimming trails😅
Yeah, I hope so! The trails need snow badly.
Always a pleasure seeing you enjoy life Ed

No chance of that here unless there is a mega earthquake. Thanks for watching.
Awesome video. Nice new ride!! Its unfortunate we wont get to see you ride to and from town this time. Stay safe.
I appreciate it! I hope to get some more riding in before I head back.
Beautiful cabin

Those A-Star 350s are a hard copter to beat, lots of power for it's size and fast.
When I save up a spare 2 million dollars I might buy a nice used Astar 350. Although I’d really like a Sikorsky S92…
@@MountainMariner Sikorsky is the Rolls Royce of Helos, I like the S76s. If it is good enough for DJT it is good enough for me.
@@MountainMariner let me know when you get the S92 lol

Kinda like getting yourself a new car! Hope you enjoy heavier duty features.
Great video, Ed! I wonder how much it costs to fly that machine in?
Congrats on the new sled, Ed! Wow, we were just watching you sledding on 12" thick lake. Now, we were cringing as you're navigating over slushy areas. When are ya getting some snow to use that beast? As always, take care and God bless. 🇺🇸
Colder temps and a little bit of snow starting Saturday. Thanks.
Your place is beautiful inside and out. The black stone counters really dress that place up. How much firewood do you go through in a winter season?
Thanks. The countertops are 2x6’s joined together, stained and coated with epoxy. I’m guessing I burn about 4-5 cords a winter.

Come on Ed!!! Crank that Katana up one time. Love that new sled, it should serve you well.
I will crank the Boss Katana amplifier at some point. Got a ways to go before I put any of my noise on video.

Spicy landing! Windy. Are your taxi rides expensive? No freight
The pilot was just trying to kick the sling load rope between his skis. If he landed on it that would be a problem. He did an excellent job putting that rope where it needed to go.
Are the regular skis something you could take with you and swap when you get to the bridge? Or is the extra weight/payload not worth the benefit?
I could take the regular skis with me and tip the sled to switch them out.
Sure is a awesome looking machine Ed that wide trackk should give you some good traction. To bad you had to have it airlifted im sure that wasent cheap.
The super wide track does bite very nicely! And yes the sling load put a hurting on my wallet.
Swing blade flights must be your biggest expense living up there? Thanks
Correct. 🚁💰💰💰💰
